Hi apply pranacharya face glow on your face for 15 minutes then wash it with warm water. Take pranacharya b clean syrup 2-2 tsf twice a day. Take pranacharya allergin capsule 1-1 twice a day. Wash your face with chandrika soap.

I am 53 years old, I am suffering from depression and ocd since 2005, taking medicines from the psychiatrist from the last 10 years. I am also suffering from insomnia and I cannot sleep without medicines. Please let me know whether depression, insomnia and ocd are curable or not.

Hello , as you are following the instructions given by your doctor you are doing it. As such with the above duration mentioned these are controllable but one can not say that these are not curable. Most of the time one may need to take medicines life long also. This may not be applicable to you, I am generalizing the issue and mentioning you.

Hello, You mean problems are there because of more weight? It's good to reduce weight at right time as many problems are directly related to overweight! Go through the following guidelines and implement them in your routine: Management: 1: Drink plenty of water (at least 2-3 l/d) or other calorie-free beverages. 2: Be choosy about nighttime snacks. 3: Enjoy your favorite foods. 4: Have 6 meals per day - 3 main courses and 3 snack meals (snack meals should be healthy). 5: Do regular exercises daily (start with light and later may be little vigorous) . Exercise decreases the stress hormone in your body, burns calories and also increases the blood circulation. Preferably brisk walking, swimming, cycling, skipping. 6: Eat seasonal fruits. Fruit helps to satisfy your sweet tooth thanks to its natural sugars, while fresh vegetables help you fill up more quickly. Fruits and vegetables contain fiber to help you feel full quickly. 7: Eat more whole grains and cut simple carbs. Whole wheat bread, oatmeal, whole wheat pasta, sweet potato, and brown rice are all excellent sources of energy and sources of nutrition. 8: Choose lean proteins instead of fatty ones. 9: Cut the salt from your diet. Eating more sodium causes your body to retain water, which can cause you to feel bloated and gain more weight. 10: Don't skip meals.When you skip meals, your body stops breaking down fat and starts breaking down muscle tissue. Muscle tissue burns more calories at rest than other tissues, so you're actually working against your goals 11: Eat at home. Going out to eat makes it too easy to cheat. Food sold at restaurants is commonly much higher in fat, sodium, and other weight-loss killers. 12: Give yourself a treat now and then. If you're attending a party or going out for a special occasion, allow yourself an indulgence. Just make sure that these indulgences don't become daily habits. 13: Go for a health walk. Gear up yourself daily for a health walk which not only shed off your extra calorie, but also reduces the stress levels. 14: Take small frequent breaks for a quick walk in between as sitting for long hours together encourages the accumulation of fat in the body! Medication: Start taking Schwabe's Phytolacca Berry tablets/ thrice daily 1/2 an hr before the meals for 1 month. Thereafter revert me back for further guidance. All the best!

Follow the following medication and guidelines----start the treatment with single dose of tuberculinum 1m. After 1 week of this take the below:- * first week- you should take baryta carb 1m, 5 drops, single dose, morning empty stomach. *second week- take thuja 1m, drops, single dose, morning empty stomach. *third week- again take baryta carb 1m, 5 drops, single dose, morning empty stomach. *fourth week- take thuja 1m, 5 drops, single dose, morning empty stomach. *take rite -hite tablets from sbl, 2-2 tabs, two times daily. *bio combination no. 21, 4 -4 tabs daily, two times. *mix two tablespoons of ashwagandha powder in a glass of warm cow? s milk. 1. Add sugar or jaggery according to your taste and mix well. 2. Follow these best methods to easily gain weight and get a healthy body - * to gain weight, first take a diet rich with proteins and fats. You should take high calories food that increase your muscle mass and induce growth in bones. Follow the diet chart in your daily life to fastly gain weight * in morning, take a glass of milk added with 2 teaspoons of bournvita or complan powder with breakfast. * after 2 hours of breakfast, take 2 bananas or a bowl of boiled soyabeans. To increase your hunger & proper digestion of food - take 10 gms powder of carom seeds (ajwain, 10 gm powder of cumin (jeera), 10 gm of rock salt. Mix them well and take 1/2 teaspoon (3-5 gm) of mixture daily after lunch * in lunch time, take 1 bowl of curd or 100 gm of cheese, a bowl of vegetable, with chapattis. You can take 2 bowl of careals (moong/chana daal) on the place of curd or cheese. * in evening, take 1 glass of milk (300 ml) with 10-12 pieces of dry fruits or 3-4 pieces of dates (khajoor). * in night, take a bowl of careals (daal, a bowl of salad with chapattis. 3. Smoking does both. It affects your skin causing wrinkles and skin discoloration. Smoking is a habit that uses the respiratory system to ingest the substance, theregore the lungs are immediately affected and therefore the breathing. Also the carbon monoxide i cigarette smoke reduces he hemoglobin in the blood which reduces the oxygen carrying capacity and you can get easily breathless with minor effort. The smoke has more than 4000 substances and most of them are very harmful. It is a very bad habit, period.

Keep ice which will reduce the inflammation and that will there by reduce the pain anaemia always leads to the symptoms of being tired that can also be reason to have frequent pain in the whole body especially in the back bone. Once the oxygen levels in the blood comes down it automatically leads to improper functioning of the joints and muscles. It is also due to vacuum created in the joints as once the body lacks oxygen automatically the body becomes arid and that is one reason to get frequent pain the body ie. Back bone. The hip muscles become tired thereby straining in a day with any physical activity might lead to back bone pain. And also wear mcr chappals which will help you to prevent the weight falling on the hip while standing. This is a general low back ache and for this you can follow these measures: one keep a pillow right under the knee while sleeping, next is you can keep ice in the painful area for about 5--10 minutes, if pain still persists you can stretch your body by twisting the waist on both sides how we used to do in the school drill similarly you can try which will help you relax as well will reduce the pain. Ice can be kept in the low back where you have back pain. This is due to the improper posture as while sitting in front of the computer it leads to neck pain and thereby it leads to shoulder pain. We suggest neck mobilization exercises that would reduce the stress falling on the shoulder. We also suggest patients to do shoulder mobilization exercises ie. General shoulder movements/neck movements which will help you to improve the blood circulation.

Hi, now pollution is everywhere, you should take precaution, once you are back from out wash your face with good deep cleaning face wash, like almond and lemon combination and don't use moisturizer when you go out, have control over diet don't eat out side, avoid excessive oily, junk, sweets. Tips for weight gain:- Meals quantity/intake should be increase. Easily digestible foods like potato and sago should be included. Eat dried fruits, sweet, fried food (serving/ day). Fluids should not be taken or with meal but only after a meal so food intake is not reduced. •Emotional well being is essential to have a good appetite. •Constipation reduces the appetite so the bowel movement should be regulated with adequate fluids, exercise and fruits. •Synthetic drinks, soft drinks alcohol, too much of tea and coffee reduces the appetite and should be avoided.

You are really light weighed. Homoeopathic medicine ALFAMALT ( SBL) Drink 2 spoon 3 times daily for 2 months. IODUM 30 (Dr Reckeweg) Drink 5 drops direct on tongue and forget about about this medicine for next 1 month Gaining weight is as difficult as losing it, if you are naturally thin. Skinny people complain that they can't put on any weight.If you want to build up weight, don't just eat high-calorie junk foods and rely on unnecessary supplements. Choose foods that are energy-dense and nutrient-dense whenever possible. Following are some tips to follow to increase your weight. You will take some time to gain the weight you need, but be patient. 1. If you have a rapid metabolism, then you must increase your daily intake of healthy foods (increase your intake of carbohydrates) to compensate for the rate at which you burn energy. Eat six smaller meals a day You should also eat more energy dense foods like healthy oils, dry fruits, seeds, nuts, pulses, etc. along with some starchy foods like potatoes, cereals, bread, pasta, rice, etc. 2. You don't want to gain fat but lean mass, so exercise is important. Resistance training exercises will help to increase your muscle mass, which in turn will increase metabolism. Learn to distinguish between weight gaining exercises and weight loss exercises. Note that if you do not get enough amino acids during exercise, the existing muscle may break down. Amino acids come from protein foods so you should eat such foods after exercise. Keep in mind that excessive exercise without putting back the energy you have used will not help you to put on weight.

Sometimes my right knee paining. After 2, 3 days it will be gone, I am a normal smoker like 2, 3 cigarettes per day, somebody told me this is the reason for joint pain. Can you answer me please ?

This could be due to oa knee &/or obesity. Physiotherapy along with medicines will help. Do knee exercises. It may have to be further investigated rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with a soft bedding on it. Any way take multivitamins & other antioxidants along with. Ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days caldikid plus (mankind) 1 tab odx10days you will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. Do ask for detailed treatment plan. Don't ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Oral Health Complications During Pregnancy

Recent findings have reported that oral bacteria and their by-products can possibly pass the placental barrier keeping oral health at prime importance during pregnancy. An awareness related to oral health during pregnancy cannot be neglected or avoided in order to minimize the complications.

This article focuses on few points related to the necessity of oral health during pregnancy. 

Pregnancy comes with many responsibilities making expecting mothers more concerned about their health. However, many pregnant women may not be aware of oral health and its effect on the developing child. Negligence of oral health is quite common during pregnancy due to lack of alertness of oral hygiene and its effect on systemic health.

Moreover, pregnancy discomforts like frequent bouts of nausea, increased physical demands, weight gain or certain dental problems like pregnancy gingivitis or inflammation of gums may be dangerous to developing fetus.  

Risk of oral problems during pregnancy:-

Few common oral problems associated with pregnancy are as follows. 

Pregnancy Gingivitis: 

Hormonal changes during pregnancy leads to pregnancy gingivitis. It is a condition of bleeding gums, redness. Moreover inflammation, swelling and tenderness are also observed. Ignorance of such problems may lead to serious gum disease.  Frequent cleaning can avoid such dental issues. Progesterone levels are elevated during pregnancy which stimulates the production of prostaglandins and leads to inflammation of blood vessels in gums.

Tooth Decay:

Diet during pregnancy is of high importance. It is designed to nourish both mother and unborn baby. Diet rich in carbohydrates actually increases the risk of tooth decay. The morning sickness increases acid secretion in the mouth which is harmful to enamel. 

Pregnancy tumors: 

Overgrowth of tissue on gums in pregnant women are called as pregnancy tumors. They are noncancerous and generally observed in the second trimester of the gestation period. It is nothing but swollen gums between teeth. The bleeding and reddening of gums observed in such conditions.  

Periodontal disease and preterm birth:

Untreated gum disease or periodontal problems can development periodontitis characterized by inflammation and infection of the gums and supporting structures of the teeth. 

This ultimately leads to loss of supporting material and finally the teeth themselves. 

A study result has revealed that there is a relation between preterm birth and presence of gum diseases in the pregnant women. The reason is not yet known. 

However, research study findings have evidence that oral bacteria or their byproducts can pass placental barrier. This initiate inflammatory response leading to preterm birth. 

Another correlation exists between the gum disease and the increased rate of pre-eclampsia, a condition of high blood pressure during pregnancy. The positive correlation suggests that gum disease may cause stress to the blood vessels of the mother, placenta and the fetus.

The basic periodontal therapies like oral hygiene instructions, scaling, root planing and prophylaxis can substantially decrease the level of prostaglandin responsible for inflammatory response. 

The regular treatment and follow-up in pregnant women can maintain good oral health and minimize the risk of preterm birth. 

Dental treatment during pregnancy: 

The dental procedures mostly include the use of X-rays and use of anesthesia. In the case of pregnancy, these procedures can be used with precaution. 

Therefore, before sitting on dental chair patient should declare her pregnancy to the physician. Untreated dental infections can harm fetus as well as the mother. 

The emergency situations request use of dental radiographs which can’t wait. The radiation of dental x-ray is generally very low and precaution is always taken for lowest radiation exposure. A leaded apron including collar, shields can be used to prevent abdominal exposure to the x-ray radiation. 

Use of dental X-ray is not at all contraindicated in pregnancy when used with precaution. 

The use of local anesthesia is also not contraindicated in the pregnancy. 

A clinical trial result showed that there is no harm in the use of local anesthetics during pregnancy. It is not linked with increased risk for major medical problems like cerebral palsy, cleft lip and heart defect in newborns. 

The medication prescribed during dental treatment mainly includes local anesthetics, analgesics, and antibiotics. Most of them can be used with safety precautions. Each drug has its own pregnancy category which should be considered during its use. 

The antibiotic like tetracycline can permanently cause discoloration of developing teeth.  

Prevention: 

Dentists can educate patients with following points to avoid problems associated with oral hygiene. 

  • The patient should declare the pregnancy to  the Dentist 
  • Follow routine oral checkup. 
  • Undergo all elective and emergency procedures. 
  • Follow good oral hygiene practice ask for a better toothpaste.
  • In the case of morning sickness avoid sweets and snacks which increase the risk of tooth decay. 
  • Have healthy and balanced diet. 

Awareness of oral health during pregnancy is a must to avoid complications.
