These are symptoms of serious disease as may also be related to pre cancerous lesions. So visit your dentist as soon as possible as it is very difficult to diagnose such condition on the basis of few symptoms so visit a dentist for proper evaluation and treatment.

Dear user, you should not eat any food which leads to more heat production in your body like dates,dry fruits etc till you get rid of ulcers. You should only take soft foods and cool them before eating.Consume more of water daily.Take vitamin b complex tablet daily and do not consume fried and spicy food.

I am having ulcer on my lower lip. The problem is that it is recurrent twice in a month. It is usually appearing when I am eating chicken. This starts about 6 years ago. Ot is very disturbing and the wound is very big size.

If the mouth ulcer is causing a lot of pain, gently rub a small ice cube over the spot or rinse your mouth with ice-cold water. You could also chew on a clove bud (lavang) and direct the juice generated to the area where the ulcer is located. Clove buds are a great ingredient to cure sore throat too. To prevent the ulcerated area from getting infected, make it a point to rinse your mouth with a little salt water. Remember, this won’t make the ulcer disappear, but it can help reduce the pain. Honey is a natural humectant. It helps reduce scarring and hastens the process of new tissue growth. This, along with its anti-microbial effect ensures faster healing of the mouth ulcer. Chew a few leaves of tulsi along with some water about three to four times every day. This will help in getting rid of ulcers faster and also have a preventive action against their recurrence. Applying a little coconut oil directly onto the mouth ulcer or chewing some coconut (fresh or dry) helps reduce pain and inflammation and hence, ulcers heal faster. Mix some sugar to crushed khus-khus seeds and consume this mixture for instant relief from ulcers. You could apply a little ghee directly to the ulcerated area, or drink a glass of buttermilk two or three times every day. Mouth ulcers left untreated generally go away in a week or so; with these home remedies, you can expect faster relief. However, if you notice an ulcer in the mouth that is persistently present although it does not cause you any pain, do not neglect it or try to treat it with home remedies beyond a few days. Make it a point to see a doctor soon because often, a painless mouth ulcer is one of the earliest signs of oral cancer.

I'm 26 male from kerala last few years i'm badly affected with bad breath. Actually I brushed 2 times per day.

Dear bad breath could be due to following factors: 1. Improper brushing time and technique - best time to brush for optimum results are after breakfast and after dinner. The technique will be shown to you by a good dental surgeon specialist - so do take your brush with you. 2. Deposits- around teeth - only a dental surgeon can remove them for you, if your gums are badly affected then he may recommend further investigations and treatment for you. 3. Constant bad throat or sinusitis - the same needs to be treated. 4. Constant stomach problems and indigestion - the cause of the same has to be looked into and treated. 5. Talking after a long time - when we do not talk for some time the saliva so accumulated also gives a bad smell - so do drink water more frequently. 6. If you are ingesting paan, paarag, alcohol and smoking - all these need to be taken stopped immediately. Hope this is comprehensive enough guidance for you.

Dental health might come across as a rather innocuous problem, but there is no reason for us to take it lightly. Dental health often functions as the index to an overall good health and it is extremely crucial for one and all to maintain the utmost hygiene level. Your teeth are arguably one of the most susceptible parts of your body wherein the slightest neglect can result in substantial damage. Dental ailment pans across a variety of diseases which unless immediately arrested, can potentially inflict a lot of harm.  

We all know about that dreaded toothache and it is not an experience that one would like reliving. Although dentists with their whole host of extractions, fillings and excisions often help in soothing those toothaches, for a more natural mode of healing and remedying dental disorders, one may turn to Ayurveda.  Ayurveda regards healthy lifestyle practices like balanced and wise dietary choices and diligent brushing as the most fundamental requisite for maintaining your oral health.  

Some of the advisable methods for upholding oral hygiene can be enlisted as follows:

  1. Dant dhavani or brushing: As an alternative to the new age bristle brushes, Ayurveda recommends the herbal chewing sticks for the purpose of brushing.  As per Ayurveda, the effect is better in those sticks which have a bitter or an astringent taste. For this purpose, Neem, Licorice, Cutch, Arjuna, Milkweed or Fever Nut are best suited. 
  2. Gargling with rock salt and mustard oil: For the upkeep of oral hygiene, it is a healthy practice to massage the gums with mustard oil and rock salt. One can gargle it off with warm water after leaving it for a span of five minutes. Persistent following of this method can bring considerable improvement to your oral hygiene. It is also a good way to mitigate the impacts of asthma and migraine.
  3. Jivha lekhana or tongue scraping: Pure metal is endowed with a lot of health boosting properties. Thus, instead of stainless steel tongue cleaners, Ayurveda advocates the use of scrapers made of gold, silver or copper. This helps in battling bad odor and enhances your sense of taste.

Dear lybrate-user you need to first treat the problem and make efforts to prevent it further from comming back again. You most probably need a good scaling and polishing from a dentist and have regular followup with the dentist atleast once in a six months.

I am 23 years old and I have been facing teeth problem last 7 month I have a problem of sensitivity. When I drink a water I have faced lot of pain in my teeth. It happens only when I drink water not other liquids and not also food. What I should do?

Before using the colgate pro relief tooth paste. Take a peanut sized tooth paste and apply all over teeth surfaces and wait for two minutes and after two minutes add same tooth paste in brush and brush your teeth fr two minutes you may get more effectiveness of desensitizing on your affected teeth.

My jaw deviates to right side on opening mouth and it deviates to left side on closing my mouth. I listen a clicking sound from my right side of jaw on opening mouth and I also left jaw is much more mobile than that of right. I feel difficulty during opening mouth and difficulty in breathing when I sleep on my back. I have also neck pain and back pain. So please tell me what should I do now and can you suggest any exercise for this condition? Please help me.

Well it won't change in one day,,u have to do it regularly to get the result,,brush atlst twice daily,,at night brush with baking soda and rinse ur mouth with lemon water,,rub a lemon regularly to ur teeth,,use mouth wash having hydrogen peroxide but don't swallow it,, chew few leaves of basil in the morning which have a property to clean ur teeth,, take a apple per day,,the acids in apple causes to clean ur teeth,,chew few leaves of neem at night

Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana -- Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily.
