Can you suggest me any suggestion.
Prolonged working on laptop can cause computer vision syndrome. Computer vision syndrome is a condition resulting from focusing the eyes on a computer or other display device for, uninterrupted periods of time. Some symptoms of cvs include headaches, blurred vision, neck pain, redness in the eyes, fatigue, eye strain, dry eyes, irritated eyes. These symptoms can be further aggravated by improper lighting conditions. Measure sto reduce this include the computer screen should be 15 to 20 degrees below eye level, work under proper light. Use antiglare glasses while working on computer. Blink a lot. Cold compresses and use good lubricating eyedrop.

If there is -3 cylindrical power in one eye, its unusual and you need to get eyes tested for a test called as topography test. Also its likely that your daughter might be having ocular allergy (eye rubbing). Pls get it thoroughly checked by eye specialist. Any treatment for spectacle removal is only done after the age of 18 years.

Hi sir my age is 25 now I want to do laser treatment in my eyes. Is there any side effect or power limits are in that...
LASIK is refractive surgery to correct myopia ,hypermetropia & astigmatism, refractive surgery also include intraocular ocular lens procedure. For LASIK your eyes must be healthy, if you have persistent dry eyes, LASIK surgery may aggravate this condition resulting in burning sensation & blurring of vision after LASIK.   For LASIK cornea must  have sufficient thickness because in reshaping of cornea, you loose the thickness of cornea & if your cornea is too thin ,you are not  fit case for LASIK.  1D of myopic correction consumes 35 micron of cornea, Average thickness of cornea in Indian is around from 450 micron to 500 micron &after lasik there should be around 300 micron thickness of cornea  for safety of eyes in future.  Pupils are usually large in myopic people &who undergo lasik or smile lasik resulting  in side effects such as  halos, glares especially when driving at night.  Lasik for treatment of high refractive errors are less predictable because very high amount of myopia could require removal of too much corneal tissue putting cornea at high risk of vision complications.     Lasik should not be undertaken before 21 years in male&19 years in female because myopic power increases by that age. You must have stable vision before LASIK.  There is no upper age limit but one should keep in mind that once you are 40 years old, you may still need reading glass due to presbyopia changing every two years till you develop cataract in old age.    Contraindication for lasik-degenerative  disease, sjogren syndrome, type one  diabetes etc.  People who are taking immuno suppressant must think ten times before undergoing for LASIK.   One must go for LASIK screening before taking decision for LASIK.  One who  undergoes  for LASIK  should be fully aware of potential lasik complications & should not hide anything from operating surgeon about health.

I am doing job having high pressure at work and continuously sitting behind computer, so I am effected with back pain and neck pain, please help me.

I am doing job having high pressure at work and continuously sitting behind computer, so I am effected with back pain...
Hello. Maintain a right standing and sitting posture, keep your back always straight (even while sitting or standing), avoid carrying weight on back. Hold or carry weight divided equally in both the hands or shoulders (to avoid over straining on one particular hand or shoulder). Always select a chair with proper back support and hand-rest. (Excessive sitting or standing is to be avoided as well don’t carry much weight on shoulders). Apart from these, stress could be the major cause of pains! Exercise: Practice Shavasana or Corpse Pose as it looks like a dead body. If practiced correctly and with full efforts, can relax every body part, relaxing not only the body but also the mind: Spread the legs one to two feet apart, the toes are turned outwards, the heels facing each other, a comfortable distance apart. Bring the arms a little away from the body, palms turned upward. Relax the neck and allow it to turn to the side if it is more comfortable. Close the eyes and focus the attention on the body, breathing normally. Begin focusing each body part and relaxing it, then moving on. Keep the mind focused on relaxation, the breath should be normal. Relax the whole body. Management: -Sit straight with a back-rest or back-support. -Stretching or activities that place additional strain on the back are discouraged. -Sleeping with a pillow between the knees while lying on one side may increase comfort. -Lying on your back with a pillow under your knees would also relieves pain and no pillow under your head. -Some people seem to benefit from the use of ice or heat. Take care, do not use a heating pad on ‘high’ or place ice directly on the skin. Medication: Take homoeopathic medicines - Arnica 200 and Rhus Tox. 200 - take both of them thrice daily for 1 week. Also, apply Schwabe's Topi-Arnica and Topi MP Gel on the affected area in circular motions gently thrice a day. Get back to me thereafter.

I have retinal vasculitis. I want to know if alcohol can aggravate retinal vasculitis or not.

I have retinal vasculitis. I want to know if alcohol can aggravate retinal vasculitis or not.
Retinal vasculitis in one condition which is usually idiopathic (that is without any discernible cause). Although alcohol does not feature amongst common causes for retinal vasculitis but it would be difficult to rule interaction with other drugs that you might be taking or otherwise as a causative factor in rarest case.

I also have pain on my temple and back of my head and the pain also spreads to the other eye and the whole face and also to the upper teeth. I have no vision problem. It feels like there is a tight band put around my head. I also feel dizzy due to this. But the headache is not continuous, it comes when I get this eye twitching, I also have a stiff neck. Im suffering from sinusitis. I was wondering if these symptoms are because of sinusitis. Please help.

Twitching doesn't occur due to sinusitis, dryness may be one of the reason, you can use lubricating eye drops (Refresh liquigel) 4-5 times daily for few days ,if no relief ,consult Neurologist for proper medication & advice, with regards.

Hello lybrate-user. Sorry about your eye problem. Redness of the eye is one of the most prevalent problems observed. Redness of the eyes has multiple causes associated with it. I guess the eye doctor must have said that the cornea of the eye has been infected by virus. Commonly, it is known as adenoviral keratoconjunctivitis. It takes a long time to resolve (sometimes upto 6 months) thus, the proper protocol would be to have patience and follow the long term medication and treatment prescribed to you. Also, maintenance of eye hygiene strictly would be a key factor in determining recovery. To enumerate a few other common causes: (1) allergy of the eye. It is usually caused by improper eye hygiene. It occurs with symptoms of pricking, itching, irritation, watering, foreign body sensation and discomfort. There is a tendency to rub the eyes with fingers, handkerchief, cloth, etc. This is not a good habit because it tends to transmit lots of virus, bacteria and dust into the eye. Allergy usually presents with symptoms of watering (clear water), redness and itching of the eye. Thus, eye hygiene remains the principal modality of treatment along with eye drops as a supplement. (2) infectious conjunctivitis: this is usually associated with white-yellowish discharge. There may occur associated pain and sensation of itching, pricking, watering and discomfort. If so, it would be a good idea to go and show to an eye specialist in person. (3) foreign body lodged in the eye. This is more commonly associated with people who drive 2 wheeler vehicles without protection. It occurs more commonly in one eye. Foreign bodies that commonly get lodged are eyelashes, insect wings, small insects, dust particles, iron particles (more common with people working in the iron industry) the solution for a foreign body lodged in the eye would be better provided by an eye specialist at the clinic because it would require immediate removal from the eye and appropriate therapy. (4) raised eye pressure: this is a condition known as glaucoma. It is not so common as the previous mentioned conditions. There is usually associated pain in the eyes. It is commonly bilateral (occurs in both eyes). There is usually a positive family history of glaucoma associated in a majority of the cases. (5) inflammation of the covering layers of the eyeball. This is known as" uveitis" it is also a relatively less common condition. There is associated pain. It would require a thorough eye checkup including the retina-thus a good idea would be to visit the eye specialist in person. (6) increased blood pressure. This has known to cause redness which is also known as sub-conjunctival hemorrhage. The redness in this case tends to be deep dark and usually occurs only in one portion of the eye. In this regard, a complete ophthalmic evaluation and a systemic evaluation is warranted. Hope my suggestions helped you.
