I have eosinophil count about 9.I too snore while sleeping. How could I solve this problem.

BAMS
Ayurveda, Bangalore
Hi, Please follow these tips to stop snoring: - Reduce your weight if you are obese. - Perform pranayama (breathing exercises) everyday. - Quit smoking which irritates the mucosal layer of the nose and throat and causes blockage and results in snoring. - Quit alcohol and sedatives which relax the throat muscles and results in snoring. - Sleep on sides instead on back. - Elevate the head by using a thick pillow which eases the breathing. - Clear the nose before going to bed. - Establish regular sleep pattern. - Keep the bedroom air moist by using humidifier; as dry air irritates the mucosal membrane in the nose and throat. - Perform throat exercises like repeating the vowels a, e, i, o, you loudly for 2-3 mins few times a day or keeping the tongue behind the teeth and moving it backwards - 3-4 times a day. - Anti snoring appliances can also be used Regarding your raised eosinophil count, it may be due to some allergy. Consult a chest specialist for the same.

Use a salicylic acid/ glycolic acid based face wash. Get your comedones extracted regularly. Use a water based moisturizer, even oily skin needs hydration. scrub your face two times in week. Use a mud mask weekly. Take salicylic acid or glycolic acid peels every fifteen days or month to improve skin texture, control acne and reduce scars and marks. Take a well balanced nutritious diet and exercise daily. Avoid face massages or application of greasy cosmetics and oils.

Hie. I have been tackling acne since I was a teen an now I am 22 yrs old but still I find it difficult to get over it. My skin type is sensitive and initially I consulted a local doctor she prescribed me few ointments n soap. I felt they hardly work on my skin then I use natural things lyk turmeric powder etc they are quite soothing n provide instant relief but I wanna get rid of it permanently. Few months back I have gone through acne treatment at kaya skin clinic 8 (sittings) n exactly after it it I felt good n from past few months and also before treatment, I am facing red small pimples around my check area I just want to get rid of it permanently. Usually when I get out in the sun my skin gets worst even after wearing a sunscreen lotion n even if I use any cosmetic products for many hours contiguously my checks go red n some times it also causes irritation. And I am quite bad about food timings. Suggest me some good cream, or any product or any good remedy so that I can get rid of this redness. Other parts of my face are normal except the check area. I even get rashes n pimples under my arm pits n private area. Please do suggest me some good remedy or what all precaution I should take n let me know what's the root cause of all this. Thank you.

Hello lybrate-user, as you are suffering from psoriasis, psoriasis is genetic disorder triggered due to stressful conditions and irregular life style. Psoriasis has three stages. First stage is when disease remain on skin and there are scaly patches. Second stage comes when there is pitting on nails and in last stage it enter the joints and there is pain in small joints. Generally patient use steroidal application on patches which give temporary relief and disease reappear after 2/3 days. In severe cases methotrexate is used which is not a safer option and is liver toxic. Ayurveda has got a complete remedy for psoriasis. It is a safer option and can be used for longer duration without any side effects. Ayurvedic external application give very quick results with sun exposure in clearing the scales and internal treatment does not allow the disease to re appear. Psoriasis is a manageable disease and can be managed with ease and effectively using ayurveda. Coconut oil is best remedy for dry skin to be applied after taking bath. You can use salytar soap. You should use 3 gms of haldi with milk helps in psoriasis patients.

Non-Surgical way to get relief from Hernia

I am Dr Mukul Khaitan, senior consultant at Institute of minimal access metabolic and bariatric surgery Sir Ganga Ram Hospital. I am having a vast experience of laparoscopic and bariatric surgery since last 20 years. Sir Ganga Ram Hospital is a prestigious Institute and is serving the society in the field of laparoscopic and bariatric surgery since last 3 or 4 decades. Today I am going to talk about hernia. I will be talking about hernia in terms of like whether a patient or you know that you are suffering from hernia? How hernia can be diagnosed? What are the signs and symptoms and then what is the treatment option?

Hernia is the protrusion or I will say a break in abdominal wall cavity. It is similar to a wear and tear in your tire. So your tube is coming out of the tire or maybe a hole in your cloth. When we repair a tire with the patch of tire or maybe when we repair a cloth with a piece of cloth, similarly hernia is to be repaired and it needs a surgical intervention. Now how to know that you are suffering from hernia or not. Any patient who is having a sudden onset pain in the abdominal wall or sudden onset appearance of a swelling in the abdominal wall or in the groin should consult a surgeon to look further the developing hernia. Hernia occur anywhere in your abdominal wall or groin starting from just below the chest wall upto near your junction of abdominal wall and thigh and can be divided into depending upon their sites. Like epigastric hernia occurs in upper abdomen. Umbilical hernia occurs near the umbilicus.

Inguinal hernia occurs in the groin area and there is other called the incisional hernia occurs at the site of previous surgery. Now once you know you are suffering from the hernia what complications you should expect from if you are not seeking a medical advice for your hernia. If the hernia slowly grows in size the contents of the abdominal wall like your intestines, your fat inside the abdominal wall or maybe abdominal organs can come out through that hernial defect and can get and trapped leading to surgical emergency. Hernia as I said earlier requires a surgical treatment. In the era maybe 4 or 5 decades prove that heading are required I repair in terms of open surgery. Now last two decades we have a vast experience and we are running a Indian hernia Academy over there at our Institute at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital.

ENT doctors from all over the India are coming to learn the laparoscopic hernia repair skills from us acme Institute of minimal access metabolism and bariatric surgery. Hernia requires a laparoscopic repair in terms of either it is abdominal wall hernia or groin hernia. We are having a vast experience off recurrent or we will say re-recurrent hernias. Re recurrent hernias means the hernia which have recovered after a open surgical repair over after laparoscopic surgical repair. In those cases we have a very vast experience and we do almost 30 to 40 such hernia as a month and we are getting referals all over the country. So in the last I'll say if you are having a sudden onset of pain in your abdomen or a sudden onset swelling which you are not able to understand the cause you should see the surgical advise and come to our clinic for getting a surgical advice.

If you want to consult me for your hernia or any such problems you can contact me either on my website or you can connect me on lybrate or you can visit my OPD at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital. It F42, 1st floor. You can come and meet me over there.

Take homoepathic treatment for cholesterol. Raw garlic is best and can be added to olive oil salad dressings, or as a garnish on soups and sandwiches.

First of all don't think so much. Do something and secondly for getting good sleep play some sport and get a good exposure to natural light. I mean don't sit longer in place where there is no natural light.
