At this age age related degenerative changes starts in the knees. Avoid Squatting, Stairs climbing up and down, jogging, jumping and running. Consult with a good Physiotherapist nearby and learn exercises to strengthen the thigh muscles and maintain flexibility of knee joint. Check vitamin D3 level through blood test. Try to keep your body weight in normal scale as per your height and age.

Hi, knee problem is very common in this age please do this simple exercise initially isometric of quadriceps strengthening of hamstring stretching of quads and hams both regards.

Reduce weight, if you are overweight. Daily massage the heels with warm til taila followed by hot fomentation with a hot water bag. Use silicon heels in shoes. All the best.

I am 22 yrs old and I feel back pain when I try to do some hard work. What should I do?

Hi Thanks for your query and welcome to Lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from Fortis hospital, New Delhi. You are very young to actually have persistent back pains. If you have localized back pain with no other symptoms like radiating leg pain, neurological symptoms like numbness, weakness, paresthesias etc, then you can start with following recommendations for initial period of 2-3 weeks: - To maintain proper posture of your back while working and sleeping - If pain is more then you can take a short course of an anti-inflammatory medication like tab etoshine or paracetamol or one which suits you - Physical therapy initially under supervision of a trained physiotherapist and then to continue at home - Adequate calcium & vitamin d intake if levels are low in body - Ice packs can applied if your pain is acute, then hot fomentation can be done at home - Analgesic spray for local application can be used and is easily available. - Avoid lifting heavyweight/ acute forward bending in mornings etc We will observe you for next 2-3 weeks how you respond to this conservative management protocol. If you are not feeling better, then we will have to get some investigations like, dynamic x rays of lower back and few blood tests for evaluation. Keep ice which will reduce the inflammation and that will there by reduce the pain Anaemia always leads to the symptoms of being tired that can also be reason to have frequent pain in the whole body especially in the waist. Once the oxygen levels in the blood comes down it automatically leads to improper functioning of the joints and muscles. It is also due to vacuum created in the joints as once the body lacks oxygen automatically the body becomes arid and that is one reason to get frequent pain the body ie. More prone to get pain the waist. The hip muscles become tired thereby straining in a day with any physical activity might lead to waist / hip pain. And also wear MCR chappals which will help you to prevent the weight falling on the hip while standing.

May be you r suffering from uric acid pleases .First go for pathological finding .currently you start hot fermentation for 15 min.
