Hello Dr, my Thyroid profile in blood test report shows TSH (7.5) and Prolactin (49) readings are high but T3 & T4 are normal. Please require advice from endocrinologist or physician.

If you eat meal so fast or by standing then also pain in abdomen I suggest you some home remedies 1. Saunf 1tsp + 1 glass of water boiled it and drink it at the time of lunch and dinner take following remedies 1. Triphala kadha 4 tsp beore lunch and dinner 2. For mouth ulcers you may take a cap bnc daily, suck on tab bifilac twice daily, local application of metroggyl gel, add fibre to your diet, green veg, banana r rich sources, take two helpful spoons of isabagol husk at night with water, milk or curd, drink plenty of water. Stress, hurry, worry predispose you to this, ladies may experience this more during periods.

How is his performance in school? how is his behavior otherwise? at 13 your child is at a very fragile age and will need to be handled carefully. do let me know if you also have blackheads? and what current medications and remedies you already tried to treat acne? acne is a common problem in teen. Almost everybody will get pimples during their teen years. First, don't try to self treat acne. Some popular nonprescription acne lotions, cleansers and other skin products can cause a serious reaction (rare), mostly it is normal to have acne in teenage. For pimples it's important to wash your face twice daily to remove impurities, dead skin cells, and extra oil from your skin's surface, avoid touching your face or propping your cheek or chin on your hands. Not only can you spread bacteria, you can also irritate the already inflamed facial skin. Never pick or pop pimples with your fingers, as it can lead to infection and scarring. A dietary therapy with the right medications for pimples can also help a lot. Kojic acid (a natural skin lightener derived from mushroom extract), arbutin (also called bearberry extract), and vitamin c (ascorbic acid) are great alternative ingredients to lighten scars left by acne. Don't use vitamin e on scars. You may have heard that applying vitamin e to a scar will help it heal faster. But according to a study, applying the nutrient directly onto a scar can actually hinder its healing. In the study, vitamin e either had no effect or made matters worse for 90% of the patients, and 33% who put vitamin e on the skin developed a contact dermatitis. Increasing the intake of omega-3 fatty acids through a diet significantly rich in fish and seafood results in lower rates of an inflammatory disease like acne. A low-glycemic-index diet also reduces acne risk. I being a both a registered dietitian (rd) and doctor have been successfully helping patients with their problems through a holistic approach using customized therapeutic diet and medications. Have balanced diet, regular sleep and light exercises along with kegel exercises and avoiding addictions if any must suffice. Keep a close watch on these 4 things, even if you insist medicines can be prescribed after a counseling session. Regards.

Okay Rahul, To loose extra weight do not take sugar,sweetened juice,fruit juice as these turns into fat.Avoid fats foods,junk foods,processed foods.Use lukewarm water with lemon juice on empty stomach in the morning.Then do exercise like swimming,skipping,yoga,plank,push ups,sit ups,squat.These will help you to reduce fat as well as to build muscle.Eat small amount of food.Do not skip meals.Eat watery fruits and vegetables.Use unrefined foods.Take egg white,fish,lean meat,cottage cheese,yogurt,tofu,mushroom,lentil,peas,peanut.Add healthy fat in cooking in small amount.Drink lots of water specially before meals.Use lukewarm water after meals.Take stress free rest.

Deficiency of thyroxine hormone leading to sluggishness, tired feeling, weight increase, slow heart beats, intolerance to cold, swelling of legs, feet and face, difficulty in concentrating and at times in speech.   1. Maintain or start of on a healthy diet and cut fatty, oily and processed foods from your diet.
  2. Start exercising to ensure that your body is in the best shape it possibly can be and thus everything within, is functioning optimally.
  3. Start doing yoga, breathing exercises and other meditative techniques to ensure that your stress levels are kept under control.
  4. Get head massages regularly as they improve blood circulation within the scalp

Controlling hair loss with Ayurvedic tips:

  1. Indian gooseberry or amla: A pack of amla, bramhi and henna powder can be made with curd and water. Apply it and keep it for a couple of hours and then wash it off. Amla juice mixed with lemon juice can be massaged on the scalp after the wash. This will make the follicles on your scalp stronger. 
  2. Ritha: An age old solution to hair problems, Ritha is also known as soapberry as it contains naturally foamy and cleansing agents. Crush the Ritha seeds and keep them soaked in water overnight. Wash your hair with the mixture in the morning and continue for a month to see visible results.
  3. Aloe vera with cumin seeds: Mix about one-third cup of aloe vera juice with a little bit of cumin or Jeera powder. Use this mixture at least twice a day, for a few months to see results in the prevention of hair thinning.
  4. Bhringaraaj: One of the most effective Ayurvedic herbs used in many medicines, it can be taken internally to help the system repair the hair related problems, or applied externally as Bhringaraaj oil to encourage hair growth and stopping hair loss.
  5. Brahmi oil: Considered brain food in its herb form, Brahmi oil is known to be very good for hair-related ailments and is very effective at stopping hair loss and help new hair growth.

Comb and oil treatment: Step two. Once you have completely combed out your child's hair, use their regular shampoo, rinse, and repeat. Make sure you wash all the towels used and clean out the lice comb. You can soak the comb in a 10 percent bleach solution or 2 percent Lysol solution for 30 minutes and rinse very well.with regular combing apparently making the real difference in effectiveness.

Hello it is related to sexual health. There is too much foreskin on my penis. Which is present since my birth. I think it may lead to problem during sex. As during masturbation if my skin goes beyond the tip of penis it pains. As the foreskin is tight. Can you pls tell me something about this. It seems a case of phimosis where the foreskin is firmly attached to the tip of penis and pains when pulled back. You can use calendula ointment on the affected area twice daily and after some massage try pulling the skin backwards as far as it goes. If this doesn't help then you need to consult some general surgeon for a minor surgical procedure. It's nothing major to be worried about.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. You are very young to actually have persistent back pains. If you have localized back pain with no other symptoms like radiating leg pain, neurological symptoms like numbness, weakness, paresthesias etc, then you can start with following recommendations for initial period of 2-3 weeks: - to maintain proper posture of your back while working and sleeping - if pain is more then you can take a short course of an anti-inflammatory medication like tab etoshine or paracetamol or one which suits you - physical therapy initially under supervision of a trained physiotherapist and then to continue at home - adequate calcium & vitamin d intake if levels are low in body - ice packs can applied if your pain is acute, then hot fomentation can be done at home - analgesic spray for local application can be used and is easily available. - avoid lifting heavyweight/ acute forward bending in mornings etc we will observe you for next 2-3 weeks how you respond to this conservative management protocol. If you are not feeling better, then we will have to get some investigations like, dynamic x rays of lower back and few blood tests for evaluation.
