Dryness and rough hair is the indication of mineral deficiency. Water is the excellent source of mineral so drink 3 lit of water/day. Along with that hair needs protein and iron. Eat food which is rich in this. Oil the scalp 3/week as it gives conditioning effect on scalp. Wash it with mild scalp cleanser. Applying conditioner helps to close the cuticle which is the outer layer of hair. It is really not important to apply it. Consult trichologist for deficiency and treatment.

Hello sir ,My wife is about 28 years old, she is having a problem of vaginal discharge since from 4 to 5 years after delivering her first child. Since from then she has a problem of this . Hello lybrate-user the trick to not to keep the hair too oily or tol dry. When you shampoo your hair always remember to use a conditioner. Have lot of protein rich food. Include eggs and milk in your daily diet. Biotin and vitamins will help. Try this for a month. If it doesn't help. Try taking homoeopathic medicines.

You must be under some stress and that will cause a problem for sleep. The lack of sleep, i.e. Sleep for less than 6 hours per night, is directly linked to about 86 diseases! So let us first focus on that. In your case particularly, do not sleep during the day; don’t even lie down. Go for regular exercise (breathing through your nostrils only) at a fixed time (at about 6 am) every day, whether you sleep or not. You must develop this habit of sleeping by 10 pm latest every night and wake up at a uniform time by 6 am every morning, even if you do not get sleep. If you do not get sleep, just lie down and if you have a bed lamp (or you could get one) lie down and read something light but not exciting. Your eyes will tire and you will fall asleep. If you like you may also put on light and soft music with the sleep function on. Depending on whether you are a visual or auditory person, you may watch TV in a lying down position until you feel sleepy. Have a warm bath before going to bed (for some people a cold bath at night seems to induce sleep! If you are one of them, please do so). Place the head side of your bed in a North-South position. The room must be as dark as possible and there should be no electronic items that give off even a light LED glow. There must be ample ventilation in the room. Avoid strong odors, except lavender, on your body or in the room, or on your sheets and clothes. There should not be any live plants in your bedroom. Sleep with the lightest of clothes or without any clothing. When lying down to sleep, lie down on your left ear as much as possible. Do not sleep directly under an overhead fan. You must eat a good breakfast, a fairly light lunch, and an early dinner, which should be a very light meal. Whatever you eat in the other meals, have only a pure carbohydrate meal at night with any vegetables, and preferably before 8 pm. Do not drink much liquids after or near about dinner time. When lying down to sleep you may use the 4-7-8 breathing pattern of sleep inducement i.e. Breathe in for four counts through your nostril only, hold for 7 counts, and exhale with a whoosh sound, through your mouth only, for 8 counts. Repeat this four times in the morning and just before you sleep at night. If you know Emotional Freedom Technique or EFT , then please practice this too for sleep induction. Self-hypnosis and slow relaxation techniques, at night will be tremendously useful. Acupuncture or acupressure will both be very useful too. Pray last thing at night before you sleep.

You are into depression for sure. Depression and anxiety go together often. If you have depression then there are some major ramifications to take into account. I believe there may be some genetic predisposition or there has been some childhood issue, related to anger, that needs urgent attention. You must go and meet with a counselor immediately and if that person advises that you meet with a doctor you must do so and cooperate to your utmost. Please visit these professionals along with your parents. In the meantime please do the following sincerely because you could resolve the problem better with good cooperation: Have a good night’s sleep, have a good breakfast of more proteins, meditate often, remain free of stress, eat a lot of fiber, nuts, avocado, exercise regularly, eat dark chocolate, do Yoga meditation exercises, etc. I suggest you do the opposite of what this depression makes you feel like doing (actually, not doing): you will need to fight this condition. You must become active; stay upright during the daylight time; meet people; never sleep during the day, wake up by 6 am every day, play some active games, especially contact games, do physical exercises, talk to people and join some social clubs, attend Yoga classes etc. Watch sitcoms on TV or comedies and cheer yourself up. Go for excursions in groups, for outings, camps, conferences, and religious conventions. Get a pet dog and spend time training it, exercising it and relating to it. Expose yourself to some sunlight every day, at least, 30 minutes but not in the scorching heat. Whatever happens, please incorporate these three important adaptations in your life: always be responsible, be respectful, and be functional. If you did these three, lots of things will go well in life. Please pray and have faith in God to alleviate your sufferings. Don’t wait for others to help. Use your own motivation, which might be at its lowest, but persevere and win this battle. Above all to be really happy, you need to live in love and for love. Learn all about emotions and how to handle them and that will get you out of the depression rather easily and quickly. A counselor is there only to facilitate you, all the hard word must come from you, and your cooperation with that person is very critical for your success. Be positive every day and learn to be contented with what you have. Do some left brain exercises: it is the happy brain. Here are a few suggestions: shut your left nostril and breathe, move your eyes from right to left and vice versa for at least half a minute at a time, and do callisthenic exercises with some form of counting, regularly. Whatever happens please cooperate with the therapy and do not discontinue until the condition is completely resolved.

I have used many shampoos like nizoral and many anti dandruff shampoos. But no result my hairs is falling lightly and tis has infected my wife and she also has lot of dandruff and hairfall, so we both are using arnika shampoo and weakly once egg mask, no surgery. No infection, no major aids, but I cant understand why I have got hairfall, daily routine is heigenic, and taking good foods, help me and my wife in eliminating dandruff and hairfall, tis is ruining my life daily, whenever I see hairs in my bed, bathroom, I feel like dying, help me out please.

Hair hair fall could b significant or just physiological without any systemic involvement. Firstly, don't stress over it. Meditate. Practice yoga. Relax yourself. Stress vil increase your hairfall. Drink two litres of water. Eat plenty of pulses, meat, fish and milk. Avoid hair cosmetics. Wash hair twice or thrice a week. Shampoo should be done to wash dirt, dust and grime and not for anything else. Don't use dyes, bleaches or straighteners. Massage scalp to improve circulation. After a bath, don't blow dry your hair instead naturally dry hair. If any scalp infection, get it treated. Any allergy should be taken care of. 1. Tab biotin daily for 1 month 2. Tab fe (if your fe level is reeduce) 3. Scalp massage with antioxidant oil 4. Regain lotion bd for long time.

I am 70 a male, BP controlled by medicine for past 12 years at 130/80, non diabetic generally in good health with regular exercise of walking and yoga breathing regulated diet wrt sugar, fat and salt intake. Recently I had a bout of pain in back of neck possibly due to muscle pull while doing shoulder stretching exercise. Over days the pain has shifted to back of shoulder (only right shoulder) However I find that the pain seems to grip external throat area lasting for a couple of hours once or twice a day. Could this pain be due to vascular insufficiency or a cardiac forewarning?

It will help to do an 2D Echo to study heart functioning. When muscular, as per ayurveda and holistic medicine, it is aggravated by Vaata dosha. So if you can remove vaata from the body by simple home remedies, for example 1 big spoon castor oil to flush out vaata, it may rid the problem. Also, keep your back, neck and chest warm with a scarf, it will hep reduce the pain. Do massage area with mustard oil and definitely reduce the intensity of your exercises of back, shoulder and neck till your muscles heal. Pranayam, ie, sookshma, anulom-vilom is very good for you It is gentle and will balance various elements in your body.

Weight loss needs determination and hard work. Work out and healthy diet are the key to loosing weight in a healthy way without side-effects. Never go for short-cuts, just set your target and start running/jogging/brisk walking. Having hot water in the morning with lemon, citrus fruits, juices, salads and fruits in place of snacks or packaged food like chips and biscuit can solve half of your diet problem. People who are obese and need to loose weight can go for bariatric weight loss. Liposuction is another option which is not recommended to people who are obese. Note: surgical methods have to be taken well care of, the process does not just finish with the surgery, it needs a lot of care afterwards.

This is not a physical medical problem. I wanted to speak to a doctor about my social anxiety, and what I can do do gain control over this. Since I was a small child I have been very shy. Now that I am an adult I am less shy, but still have problems speaking to others. Not just strangers. I also have a problem speaking with my own family. People that I do not feel 100% comfortable around. I enjoy being around large groups of people, but I have a problem speaking to them. It seems like when I speak I am spending more time on my facial expressions, or what I said the last time I spoke, or how the person I am speaking to thinks of me, or what I will say the next time I say something to this person. By thinking about everything other than what I'm actually saying I tend to say words incorrectly. I'll have to repeat the word to correct it. Then, I'll be so humiliated that I just said a word incorrectly and how embarrassed that I am that I continue to say the wrong words or continue to say the words improperly. I also find it very difficult to look folks in the eyes for too long. Especially during silent moments. I am a very affectionate person, and I find that I need to be loved on physically and told that I am loved, but I find it difficult to get too close to people I'm not very comfortable with. I also find it difficult to keep friendships. It's not because my friends don't want to be my friends anymore. It's because when I feel like I'm getting to close to a friend, or that I'm opening up too much I shy away. I won't answer the phone for that person anymore or I'll make an excuse to not meet up with them and keep our plans together. My relationships with my husband, my children and my sister and mother are all very normal relationships. I'm also very close to my father, he was my favorite parent when I was growing up and I even work with him everyday but I find that I feel very nervous around him all the time. More so because I'm afraid that he will see how awkward and strange I am. I have always seeker my father's approval all my life and being in front of him everyday while working is almost too much for me to handle. It's somewhat overwhelming. I'm constantly afraid I will mess up or do something wrong and my fear is that he will see it. I almost feel as if I love him so much and look up to him so much that I prefer to not be around him everyday due to the higher risk of letting him see how strange I am. Or maybe that he will find out that I'm not as smart as he thinks I am. I know these feelings are not normal. I can't just do something mindlessly. I'm constantly mapping out in my head my every move, but that almost always causes me to mess up what I'm doing because it's impossible to map out my every move and word but still focus on what I'm doing and saying. I wish that I could just relax. I think my fear is humiliation, or showing people that I'm not terribly smart, but part of me feels like I am very smart. What is wrong with me?

hi... I think the root cause of your problem is only one that you are not loving yourself. And when you are not loving yourself your self confidence is going lower and lower. So just start loving yourself and everything will fall into their place. Now the question is how to love ourselves?.. here is my answer for it : start praising yourself. Daily say loudly one positive sentence about yourself to yourself in front of a mirror. Indulge yourself in the hobby which you love. Don't seek others approval for anything you do. Learn to take responsibility of your act. I would suggest you to take part in some team activity. I have kidney stones. And 2 months back had operation for left kidney to remove stones. And doc said in right kidney too some stones are there. I literally eat nothing. No non veg. So is there a specific diet. For information I have stones size of 0.8cm and around 1 cm.

Hello As an urologist, I can understand your concern fully. Stones of 1 cm and 0.8 cm are not large size. It's not something to worry about, unless there's bleeding in urine or severe pain. If the kidney is blocked, it needs urgent treatment. He should drink 12-15 glasses fluids daily. If i've your scan report with latest blood creatinine, uric acid, and sugar, I can give you an expert opinion.

Allergic condition may be the cause and if given some medicine then such symptoms are very likely, drinking water, steam inhalation is the best option instead of medicines
