A man's weight and the health of the sperm are also interlinked. Here is another diet plan that lets you understand more. You can follow either the below one or the above one. Both will help you to plan the meals accordingly in order to gain weight. The food items that should be incorporated in the diet are full cream milk beans, lentils and other such protein-rich food fruits and vegetables cereals healthy fats and oils healthy desserts keeping all these items in mind, we should divide the 3 major meals of the day into 7 smaller meals. Dear, Hypertension is asymptotic (without symptoms) but in some cases symptoms are seen which are given below: * Headache * Vertigo * Lack of sleep * red eyes * Anger comes easily To control & maintan BP normal these are best methods to follow:.• Do physical exercise like jogging or brisk walk for atleast 20-30 minutes. • Maintain your cholesterol level to normal & eat least amount of butter, cream or fatty things. • Eat less amount of pickle, salt and fast food as they contain high sodium levels. • Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking. • Take less amount of caffine containing coffee, tea or cold drinks because caffine causes increase BP. • Drink 8 to 10 glass of water daily • Take 6 to 8 hrs of sleep daily. Do not take too much stress. • Do long breathing pranayams (Anulom- Vilom, Bhramari) daily for 10 - 15 minutes. It will reduce your stress level in your body. • Eat healthy diet such as green leafy vegetables, fruits. • Take 5 ml of GULAB Jal added in a glass of water daily once a day.

TMJ pain can be due to misalignment (malocclusion) of or trauma to the teeth or jaw, teeth grinding (bruxism), poor posture, stress or anxiety, arthritis and other inflammatory musculoskeletal disorders, orthodontic braces, and excessive gum chewing. the treatment will vary depending on your condition. apply ice pack on the outer region. try some relaxation exercise for jaw muscles. meditation has to be done to reduce stress level. take soft diet n avoid chewing gums. consult a maxillofacial surgeon for complete diagnosis n treatment planning .

Not to worry, it is just a swollen lymph node. It is very common during hormonal surges to having a swollen lymph node. To relieve pain, try warm compress. However, if the lymph node continues to remain swollen and does not ever subside, see your doctor.

Dear Lybrate user. I can understand. Watching porn and Masturbation is normal, natural and never unhealthy. Even animals do masturbate. As a human being, you are also an animal. Every animal has sexual instinct because they are designed to reproduce. Human being also has sexual instinct and therefore he needs to satisfy sexual instinct. Therefore, to satisfy sexual instinct, a man or woman, masturbates. In any case, masturbation is never unhealthy or will never affect your physical or sexual health or it cannot affect your future sex life and the ability to have children. Masturbation cannot affect your growth or cause pimples or cause hair fall or cause shrinkage of penis or loss of vital nutrients or cause problems in testis size or colour etc. Masturbation cannot increase your belly fat or cause obesity. You should try to reduce the masturbation frequency to thrice a week and continue masturbation. You can be sure; there are no side effects to masturbation if you are able to restrict it to thrice a week. Hello, I am giving you some tips to prevent constipation: 1. take 6-8 glass of water in a day 2.Regular Physical activity Keeping mobile and active will greatly reduce your risk of getting constipation. Ideally do at least 150 minutes of physical activity every week. 3.You should have about 30 g of fibre a day. You can increase your fibre intake by eating more: I am giving you list of some fibre containing food fruit vegetables wholegrain rice whole wheat pasta wholemeal bread seeds oats 4.Toilet habits Never ignore the urge to go to the toilet One supplement name Nutrilite fibre can be start after personal consultation, this has shown wonderful result in constipation Consult Physician/me for further Management

HI, Please follow these tips to get rid of constipation: 1. Drink 2-3 lts of water per day. 2. Consume lot of fibre in your diet like raw vegetables, fruits, whole grains, oats. Etc. 3. Eat one fully ripe big banana at bed time. 4. Drink one glass of hot milk with one spoon of ghee in it at bedtime. 5. Take your food at regular intervals. Avoid spicy and oil fried food. 6. Never curb the urge to pass stools. 7. Never put in lot of pressure to pass stools. 8. Take 1tab. of Anuloma DS with a glass of hot water at bedtime to get an easy evacuation. 9. Do sitz bath twice daily.

Your son must be pretty old enough to be responsible about his own studies. Any amount of worrying will not help him. He has to realize and work on his issues. So let him be and just tell him to be committed to his studies. Even if he fails it may be for his own good. You will certainly sleep well if you seriously follow this advice. Now about your sleep: The lack of sleep, i.e. sleep for less than 6 hours per night, is directly linked to about 86 diseases! So let us first focus on that. In your case particularly, do not sleep during the day; don’t even lie down. Go for regular exercise (breathing through your nostrils only) at a fixed time (at about 6 am) every day, whether you sleep or not. You must develop this habit of sleeping by 10 pm latest every night and wake up at a uniform time by 6 am every morning, even if you do not get sleep. If you do not get sleep, just lie down and if you have a bed lamp (or you could get one) lie down and read something light but not exciting. Your eyes will tire and you will fall asleep. If you like you may also put on light and soft music with the sleep function on. Depending on whether you are a visual or auditory person, you may watch TV in a lying down position until you feel sleepy. Have a warm bath before going to bed (for some people a cold bath at night seems to induce sleep! If you are one of them, please do so). Place the head side of your bed in a North-South position. The room must be as dark as possible and there should be no electronic items that give off even a light LED glow. There must be ample ventilation in the room. Avoid strong odors, except lavender, on your body or in the room, or on your sheets and clothes. There should not be any live plants in your bedroom. Sleep with the lightest of clothes or without any clothing. When lying down to sleep, lie down on your left ear as much as possible. Do not sleep directly under an overhead fan. You must eat a good breakfast, a fairly light lunch, and an early dinner, which should be a very light meal. Whatever you eat in the other meals, have only a pure carbohydrate meal at night with any vegetables, and preferably before 8 pm. Do not drink much liquids after or near about dinner time. When lying down to sleep you may use the 4-7-8 breathing pattern of sleep inducement i.e. breathe in for four counts through your nostril only, hold for 7 counts, and exhale with a whoosh sound, through your mouth only, for 8 counts. Repeat this four times in the morning and just before you sleep at night. If you know Emotional Freedom Technique or EFT (check this out either on YouTube or Google), then please practice this too for sleep induction. Self-hypnosis and slow relaxation techniques at night will be tremendously useful. Pray last thing at night before you sleep.

Everything you need to know about Intrauterine Insemination (IUI)

1. What is Intrauterine Insemination (IUI)? When is it recommended?

IUI is a procedure where semen is instilled inside the uterus of a woman after it has been processed in the laboratory. IUI is done at the time of ovulation.

It is recommended in cases of male factor infertility like low sperm counts or motility and also in case of unexplained infertility so as to improve the chances of pregnancy.

2. How does IUI increase the chance of pregnancy?

In IUI, the washed sperms are deposited directly into the uterus at the time of ovulation. By this, there are more chances for gametes (eggs and sperms) to fertilise and cause pregnancy.

3. What is the best period to do an IUI?

The best period to do an IUI is immediately after ovulation (egg release).

4. How is it performed? Or Description of IUI procedure in brief?

IUI is a simple, non-painful procedure. Firstly, the husband's semen is collected and then prepared in the laboratory so that we can get the maximum number of good motile sperms. Thereafter the woman (wife) is positioned to lie down and a speculum is inserted in the vagina. Semen wash in loaded in a sterile plastic catheter and introduced through the cervix into the uterine cavity and is then injected slowly.

5. What are the pre-IUI treatment steps?

Pretreatment steps-

1) Screening tests for both husband and wife is done.
2) Tubal patency test of a wife is desirable.
3) Ovulation induction with medications
4) Follicular monitoring by ultrasound.
5) Timing of ovulation by giving an HCG trigger injection (for egg release) when the follicles are mature (greater than 20 mm).
6) 36-40 hours later, semen is processed and IUI is done.

6. Are there extra precautions to be taken after IUI procedure?

A woman is asked to lie down for 15-30 minutes after IUI procedure, thereafter she can resume her routine activities. She is asked to take prescribed medications on time as advised.

7. Can the sperm fall out?

No, sperms don't fall out after IUI.

8. Where is the sperm accumulated? How long sperm survive after timed intercourse of IUI?

Sperm accumulate in cervical crevices during intercourse and can survive for 72 hours

9. What is the method for sperm freezing, if a partner is not available at the IUI procedure time?

The semen sample is processed first in the laboratory and the semen wash is then frozen by putting this in liquid nitrogen. Thereafter, this frozen sample can be used anytime, like on the day of IUI even when a husband is not around.

10. How long frozen sperm can be stored?

Frozen sperms can be stored as long as desired.

11. Can using of frozen sperm increase the likelihood having a child with birth defects?

No, using frozen sperms does not increase chances of birth defects.

12. Do I need to take extra precautions after IUI?

No extra precautions are needed after IUI, just take the medicines on time as advised by the doctor.

13. How long does it take for fertilization and for implantation?

Fertilization takes roughly 12-18 hours and implantation occur around the 5th day after ovulation.

14. What kind of examination is usually done for an IUI cycle?

Ultrasound monitoring (transvaginal probe) is usually done in IUI cycles.

15. How long prior to an IUI should the couple abstain from intercourse?

An abstinence period of 2-3 days is advisable before IUI to get the best sperm sample from a partner.

16. What is 'washed' sperm?

'Washed sperm' is actually the processed semen prepared in the laboratory using various media. By this process, toxins and dead sperms are removed from semen so that it can be put directly in the uterine cavity.

17. What is donor IUI?

When husband semen has no sperms (azoospermia) then, sperms can be taken from sperm banks and IUI can be done, this is called a donor IUI.

18. After an IUI, how soon can I have intercourse?

After the IUI, there is no restriction to have intercourse.

19. Can IUI be used for gender selection?

NO, IUI cannot be used for gender selection.

20. Is the process painful?

NO, IUI process is not at all painful. It is equivalent to a gynecological examination.
