This back pain is due to no back exercise. Due to this muscle get stiff. When suddenly you get move fast that time this stiff muscle get break and pain start. In ayurved there is mentioned one procedure KATI BASTI .DO THIS FOR FIVE DAYS WITH MEDICATED OIL if you want to do it you should do it under doctor observation. So consult ayurvedic doctor near you. You will definitely get good result.

My wife is 64 yrs old & having knee pain & pain in heels. Wt 60 kg.Please Advice.

Assessment to be done by a physiotherapist,also the weight could be the cause here so activities to reduce weight. Since both knee and heel is paining, water exercises/ swimming will be the best. Heel cushion available in pharmacies will help with heel pain, could be calcaneal spur if the pain is maximum after getting up from bed early in morning and gradually reduces after walking for a few steps. Age factor suggests towards osteoarthritis of knee but x ray should be done for confirming. Continue exercises taught in physiotherapy sessions.

.first of all you should follow some basic thing 1.avoid=hot and cold at time 2.less the sugar as much as possible if you want to eat sweet take juggery which is black 3.dont drink water after meal drink at the time of meal sip by sip up to 150 ml 4.avoid late night sleep 5.yogaraj guggul 1 tab before lunch and dinner 2.maharasnadi kadha 2 tsp before lunch and dinner

Goodmorning, I would like you take the advice of hot and cold fermentation for your calf and foot first. Wait for 2 days after which you could do a mild stretching of calf for 10 to 15 seconds. If pain still persists then plase do a tens treatment (physio session) for your leg. That will reduce a lot of pain in your leg. Then do a couple of ankle toe movements and then rotation for your foot. At night when you are sleeping you could also elevate your leg so that there is better flow of blood in your leg.

Hello sir/mam, last day I drunk after 4 months and after that I suffered from a hard hand pain why it so happened just because I didn't eat something except of milk in the morning and travelled whole day with some few snacks and take alcohol at night or is it something else please tell me.

your pain may be due to continuous load on your hand when you sleep without conscious or you might have placed your neck in wrong way in unconscious stage for long time.

Keep your leg raised while sitting or lying quadriceps strengthening exercises hamstring stretching.

Means now is your problem only stiffness and test are positive it is as do spine extension exercise and tk physiotherapy help to maintain your fiexbility you can use other relaxation treatment but exercise must for you bcoz in this cause spine convert in bamboo shape stiff n rigid.

If you travel lot via bike. Then you have to change or travel for few weeks via any four wheeler or via train as there shouldn't be strain on your back. You have to daily surynamskar exercise as you tolerated. It will strengthen your back muscles. And help to recover. For present pain you have to take. Pain killer antacid as per orthopedic consultantion.

My Son 21 Years Old met with an accident and had a fractured D4 leading to Paraplegia. He is bed ridden with total loss of sensation below the arm pit level. Sensation loss in Lower Limbs, loss in lower abdomen. He was operated and plates put from D3 to D7 for Spinal support at Gurgaon (NCR). Can someone help to advice.

Applying cold compresses to the painful knee is one of the best and easiest ways to reduce pain and swelling. The cold will constrict the blood vessels, reducing blood flow to the affected area and thus reducing swelling. It will also give you relief from the pain. 1.Wrap a handful of ice cubes in a thin towel. 2.Apply the compress to the affected knee area for 10 to 20 minutes. 3.Do this two or three time daily until your pain is gone. Take Mag phos 6x – 4 tabs twice daily for next 10 days.

Hello lybrate user, back pain that is associated with day time sedentary jobs like computer professional s are associated with paraspinal muscle spasms. The best way to tackle this sort of pain is to do well spaced stretching exercises of the back, back extension exercises, using hot water bags to provide relief and avoiding stooping posture while sitting. Posture also plays a very important part in back pain, always maintain a straight posture while sitting. While getting up from the bed try to first go on your left or right side of the body and get up side ways. Avoid cruntches or sit-ups: they may increase the pressure on your back and may predispose to slip disc. Always maintain a healthy lifestyle in terms of regular brisk walking, meditation, eating healthy. P. S: try to avoid pain killers (analgesics) as much as possible as many are associated with side effects that you may not be aware of. Stay healthy. Stay happy god bless you.

My husband has a slip disc problem and has acute pain. Doctor has advised him to go in for spine fixation which includes removal of the discs and replacing it with titanium ones. I want to know after the surgery will he be able to join back his job. He is a marine engineer working in cargo ships. There is lot of lifting and very hard work. Please let me also know if there is some alternate treatment for this as I am nervous about it. Please reply soon.

Please don't get nervous! not all patients of backache need surgery. Most of them can be managed without operation. This is an advanced surgical procedure. This type of surgery is not done in most of the hospitals. I think you should have it done in delhi.

Hi, I have undergone a surgery for forearm and elbow dislocation. My forearm was fixed with a plate and my was located with a k wire. Now my concerned is I am not able to move my arm. It is very stiff and has restrictions in movement. I just want to know which part of my hand should I start physio. Should I start my elbow or forearm exercise. I am confused.
