To gain weight you should eat more calories than you burn. Plus not only you have to eat calorie dense food but you have to keep in mind that what you are eating is healthy too. In the process of weight gain you do not want to put weight in an uneven manner and look unhealthy rather than looking bright and healthy. 1. Start with changing your lifestly. Start working out if you are not active. The biggest myth that prevails now a days is that thin people do not need to work out. This is wrong. When you challenge your body, it is forced to grow. But this growth can only be possible if you are eating enough food to let the body absorb and grow in size and muscles. 2. Eat Healthy – Stop drinking and smoking too much if you are indulged in it. Limit your intake of junk food, pepsi, sugary stuff etc. Do not at all starve yourself. Make it a habit to eat something healthy every 3 hours. This means you have to eat 6 small meals in a day. Your Daily food intake should ideally consist of – a. Have plenty of nuts, dry fuits and seeds. Almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, figs, dates and raisins. They are full of healthy fats needed by a human body. b. Good amount of fruits and vegetables – Bananas, apples, pomegranate, green leafy vegetables. Fruits and vegetables helps in absorption of food in the body and together, completes your daily nutrition need. c. If you are a non- vegetarian - Eat eggs, chicken etc. d. Eat whole grains – Try to have multi grains spread throughout the day. Wheat, brown rice, oats, bajra, daliya etc should be taken in multiple meals in a day. e. Eat Sprouts – Chana and moong which are full of protein and nutrients. f. You can supplement your diet with good quality multi-vitamin capsules. If you are lacking in protein, you can buy a high quality whey protein and have it with banana shake twice a day. g. You can take natural food items like wheat grass which is full of essential nutrients which helps in weight gain. Try to be patient while you are on the process of weight gain. Results take time to show. Just follow the regimen of weight gain religiously and you will soon start seeing the results.

My stomach has pain, doctor suggest me ultra sound, I did then doctor said your lever has mild enlarge and he test me a blood report then found that platelets are 80,000 I am tensed and do not know how I increase it. My age is 25 and weight is 67 kg Is there serious problem regarding platelets.

You have to repeat the test after few days. If it keeps decreasing then it is serious. And you may want to consult. If it is serious then you don't want to take blind treatment.

If your periods have come you need not to get worried. You hv got your periods after 25 days. It is absolutely normal. Next time you should use a better contraceptive as condom doesn't give 100% protection.

U take low calorie low sodium high protein diet. 45 min walk daily speedly. Don't take rice at night. Drink 10-12 glass of water. Don't drink immediately after meal. 4 -5 in a day on frequent interval.

My mother is around 54 and from last 5years she is suffering from rhemo arthritis. Finally after changing many doctors now she is recovering well without any operation. If she has been diagnosed as a having rheumatoid arthritis then anti rheumatoid medications have to be started. If left untreated for a long period, the disease eventually destroys the joints and deformities set in. Simple physiotherapy like mobilization and medications should help a bit. If joints joints are in very bad shape which are affecting her daily activities, she may need surgery.

You should visit to gynecologist. She may advice usg to rule out any pathology behind it. Meanwhile you can do the following things during menses- drink plenty of water, apply warm water bottle on the site of pain to get relief from pain, do not bed ridden during those days, ambulation is beneficial. Eat nutritious diet to have stamina to bear the pain.

Good morning my lybrate user. That dandraff is poisoning. So clean her hair with teatree base shampoo. One day gap. Then must use conditioner. After wash use tea tree aroma oil with 1 tablespoon water on dry sclap. Don't use ordinary coconut oil or others. She also use oil & dirty free face wash. Twice daily. Then use tea tree oil 2-3 drops directly on face. Avoid oily, spicy, junk foods. Take sufficient water minimum 3-4 ltrs water. If you want to talk directly call me through lybrate.

Be particular about food choices & timings. Follow the proper do's and don't of diabetes avoid all refined foods from your diet such as maida, pasta. Avoid high starchy foods such as rice, potato & colocasia. Include more fiber, pulses & green leafy vegetables in your diet. Avoid sweetend fruits such as banana, mango, litchi, chickoo, grapes from your diet.

Regular massaging of the scalp with lukewarm oil helps to stimulate the hair follicles. This is also an easy way to cure hair growth deterrents like dandruff and fungal infections. Regular massaging increases the blood circulation in the scalp. It is also useful for lowering anxiety or stress that is often the underlying reason for thinning of hair. Recommended oils for 3 to 4 times-a-week massaging schedule includes coconut oil. You can alternate this with mustard oil. Keep the oil on for at least six hours before washing it off with a mild shampoo. Other oils that can be mixed with coconut oil in trace amounts for faster results include almond oil.
