You need to have diet plan based on your BMI & activities. Whatever we eat is metabolised by the body for the energy needed to do daily work and the excess is stored as fat. Abdomen is the first place to gain weight and last to disappear. In brief, Weight reduction can be achieved only by reducing the intake of food 1/3 of what you take now. And by appropriate exercise plans for each part like belly, thighs, legs / chest etc. To burn off fat. Some tips 1) Drink three or four cups of water whenever you feel hungry and just before eating food 2) Take boiled or raw vegetable like cucumber, carrot etc. As half of your diet. Then take 1/2 of your total diet as sprouted pulses / proteinaceous food like roti, cooked pulses and remaining with rice or other carbohydrates. Oil or ghee etc. Should be just bare minimum. And do aerobic exercises, running, jogging or at least walking briskly 3-5 KMs and swimming if possible, and in a gym if feasible. The most important is to burn off the energy intake by exercises. There is no short cut or medicines without exercise & dieting to take just as mush food as needed for your activities. The food we eat is utilised for our energy needs and the remaining will be stored as fat which leads to obesity. It is better to do some tests. The hair buds may not be there for thick beard and it will grow only if there is hair buds in the beard area. If needed you can think of beard transplant.

Hi, in summer season the body heat increases internally. There is bacterial growth in food, at homemade or outside food if left for even for 1hour or more than this. So it is advised to avoid eating outside food and at home food should not be left open and it must be refrigerated immediately after eating. Drink boiled water or water from purifier. Don't drink outside water. Mineral water will do. Avoid outside fruit juices. Drink coconut water once a day. Drink plenty of water.(3-4 liters/day) take nat mur 30 4pills to be sucked thrice a day eat salads and fruits.

Alien Hand Syndrome: Causes and Effects

MD - Psychiatry, MBBS
Psychiatrist, Delhi
Alien Hand Syndrome: Causes and Effects

Alien Hand Syndrome or AHS is a neurological disorder that causes the patient's hand to move involuntarily. The individual has no control over the movement of the hand and sometimes, he or she may not even be aware of the action! The patients often report feeling like their hand does not belong to them anymore. The disease has no cure but the symptoms can be treated and reduced. Usually the hand is kept occupied constantly by holding a light object.

Causes of Alien Hand Syndrome:
Though the exact causing factor of AHS is unknown, there are a number of instances which have been shown to influence the development of the condition. The chief factors are:

  1. Brain injury: Injury caused to the brain by blunt force trauma or faulty surgery can lead to Alien Hand Syndrome. This is particularly seen if the frontal lobe (the brain center of voluntary movement) or the corpus callosum (the bundle of nerve fibers connecting the left and right hemispheres of the brain) is affected. These are the areas that regulate motor functioning and the neural pathways to execute the actions.
  2. Brain tumor: A tumor (a mass of abnormal cells) pressing on the motor centers of the brain can cause involuntary movements of the left hand in a right handed person. This is because the right hemisphere of the brain controls the left side of the body and vice versa. Tumors blocking the neural pathways usually cause errant movements of the predominant hand.
  3. Neurodegenerative conditions: Diseases like Alzheimer's disease and Creutzfeld & Jakob Disease are characterized by memory loss, rapid changes in personality and growing defects in the central nervous system. AHS could be a complication of such disorders. Effects of Alien Hand Syndrome This is an extremely rare condition. There have been less than 80 known cases around the world since 1908.

The disorder is often unreported because it is mistaken for a psychiatric problem due to its unusual symptoms and effects.

  1. The patient may not even be aware of what his 'alien hand' is doing. The hand may even begin functioning of its own accord when the patient is asleep.
  2. AHS can result in feelings of guilt and shame because of the embarrassing actions of the hand that the patient has absolutely no control over. The hand is often said to be governed by primal animalistic urges of hitting others, tearing clothes off etc.
  3. The condition often leads to social anxiety, depression and paranoia.

To start with avoid simple sugars as far as possible like sugar, jaggery, honey, sweets, candies, chocolates, cold drinks etc. 'Eat Out' less, avoid junk and have good quantity of fresh foods which are not processed like fruits, vegetables, soups, salads, nuts, low fat milk, curd etc. Gradually, focus on higher protein intake, lower fat and restrict carbohydrates to high fibre foods only. Combine these dietary changes with 30 mins to one hour play/walk / exercise. Its difficult to draft a diet chart here which is tailored to meet your requirements. How identity breast cancer? Any symptoms on our body? Any home test? Clinical test cost how much?

MBBS, DNB (General Surgery)
General Surgeon, Mumbai
Self breast examination should be done by all ladies after the age of 40. Kindly learn the method from a doctor. Self breast examination can lead to early detection of any lump in the breast. Symptoms are lump in breast, nipple discharge, skin changes over breast etc. General symptoms would be weight loss loss of appetite breast pain which may be seen in in many other conditions also. Tests cost would differ from institute to institute. Government hospitals would do it for a minimum. The ideal way to go about it would be to visit a surgeon and get yourself examined and then go ahead with usg and mammography. Based on history and your test results the doctor would advise you further follow up.

I am only 19 years old and my wight is 104 kg .I do jogging and gym all this thing but I don't get loose. what should I do?

PGDD, RD, Bachelor of Home Science
Dietitian/Nutritionist, Mumbai
Eat small but frequent meals. Avoid long gaps in between meals. Avoid junk as far as possible. Exercise at least 4 times a week. Lastly be committed. Remember it's a lifestyle change and not a one time thing. It's a balanced intake that will last you longer. All the so called diets will only give you muscle and bone loss. The fats will remain as it is. So, try to first follow this seemingly simple tips. I am sure it will at least help you with initial fat loss. If it still does not help then your body is gone into plateau mode where you will have to take a personalised diet plan to boost the metabolism again.
