I would suggest you to modify your diet. Add organic supplements like vit d, calcium & protein to your routine and start with weight bearing exercises as early possible. This is curable condition so do not wait start doing whatever I have told you.

Hello doctor, I am 27 years old. My height is 5feet 5 inch and weight is 59kgs and I am suffering from side hip pains. I have done every report including mri every report is normal but pain is still there everymonth I suffer 20-25 days I can' t sleep or bend forward. Please suggest me what is the problem with me? what am I suffering from? n please suggest me the solution.

First of all I have to know the nature of your job. If it is related to weight bearing or travelling. U r supposed to reduce d working style and take rest while working. You can apply a good ayurvedic oils (eg: arlin oil r chan oil) in d pain areas gently and after 15 mins. of time supposed to take hot water fermentation using cotton towel. Do this twice a day. And some streching exercises. Continue this for next 5 days continuously. U will feel better. All d best.

Nowadays back pain is a very common complaint in young adults. It can be due to various reasons any injury, muscle strain eg-sudden twist while lifting object, bad posture, overuse of muscle or any internal disease like spondylitis, infection etc after looking at your age I can recommend you: precautions: 1. Avoid forward bending, if required then bend your knees first and then bend forward. 2. Avoid weight lifting. 3. Sit in chairs or car seats with proper back support. 4. Try to sleep in a position that helps you maintain the curve in your back like sidelying. 5. Get enough vit d from sun as vit d keep bones strong including spine, 6. Drink plenty of water to enhance the intervertebral disks 7. Avoid standing in the one position for a long time. 8. Try to sleep in a position that helps you maintain the curve in your back. Physio care: I would recommend you for i-care treatment that is specially for back or neck pain. Rest required but it doesn't mean a complete bed rest. Do not over exert your body. Work take rest and then work so that you do not feel tired and started paining. Treatment- 1. Apply ice directly to the area of low back pain will decrease swelling and inflammation, and ease your discomfort. Apply it for 10 to 15 minutes only. 2. Relaxing for 5 minutes after ice or heat treatment. Apply any pain relieving ointment eg - volini or oraflame gel etc. Make sure not to do massage with the gel, it should not penetrate the body. 3. Again relax your body for 5 minutes and perform some normal back extension and hamstring stretching exercises to get relief from your pain. While performing exercises if pain occurs then would recommend you to stop doing exercise. Ask someone to massage your painful area as massage helps to induce relaxation, relieve pain, and reduce levels of stress chemicals, such as cortisol and noradrenaline. It will give you pain relief for time being. If you did not understand or have any doubt, please inform. Or alternatively please take advice from a physio as he/she can guide you proper exercise plan which will be beneficial for you after checking grade of your back pain.

Tips to cure knee joint pain.. 1.Mix equal quantities of powdered fenugreek seeds, turmeric and ginger powder. Take one teaspoon daily in the morning and evening. 2. For dry fomentation of the affected joints, take a cloth and fold it into four, fill it with hot and sand make a potli (bag) out of it. Use this bundle for the fomentation of different joints. This is very helpful in reducing pain and swelling 3.Peel two cloves of garlic and crush it. Add this to a glass of milk. Boil it on a mild flame till one-fourth glass remains. Filter and make two equal parts. Drink one part in the morning and the other in the evening. 4.Warm mustard oil or sesame oil (1 teaspoon) with 3-4 cloves of crushed garlic and 1 tsp of ajwain (carom) seeds until it roasts to a reddish brown colour. Ensure that it does not get burned. Massage this oil on your affected areas. After that do hot fomentation with salt potli (bag). 5. Take 1 tsf castor oil with milk at night once a week.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. Actually pain at calf/leg region can be due to many reasons, commonly it is muscular in nature but it can also be due to tendons, nerves, blood vessels etc. My advise to you for initial 2-3 weeks will be: - ice packs application intensively with elevation of your limbs at night - take a short course of anti-inflammatory medication as per your body's suitability like tab etoshine 60 mg twice a day can be taken for 5-7 days - stop your physical activity till pain completely subsides - intensive physical therapy, training and proper muscle conditioning once pain has subsided - slow resumption of physical activities with proper pre activity warm up and stretching of muscles and short increments in duration of physical activity each day as per pain tolerance. - we will get some blood tests for you - serum vitamin d and serum potassium levels, esr and crp once you have all these reports then you can contact me as I can advise you for proper supplementation do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance.

Go for proper diagnosis first, it should be ruled out whether it is just an muscles sprain or some spine or bone related changes present. Apart from this you can go for physiotherapy sessions for pain relief and with this you need to do some stretching and strengthening exercises, that you can ask to your therapist.

Hello, you can apply ayurvedic oil like mahanarayan oil gently on back followed by hot fomentation twice a day. Keep your bowel clear everyday. Backache may be due to many reasons like sitting or sleeping positions, any previous injury or accident, spondylitis, flatulence in abdomen etc. So try to find the reason of it, accordingly it can b treated.

Hi consult orthopaedic doctor for repositioning joint. After the shoulder bone is repositioned by orthopaedic doctor, you can start physiotherapy treatment to reduce pain and swelling. 1) ice your shoulder to reduce pain and swelling. Do it for 20-30 minutes every three to four hours, for 2 to 3 days or longer. 2) use a sling or shoulder immobilizer to prevent further injury. 3) take medicines as prescribed by doctor. 4) practice stretching and strengthening exercises as prescribed by physiotherapist.

Tailbone pain (Coccydynia)

Pain that occurs in or around the bony structure at the bottom of the spine (coccyx) — can be caused by trauma to the coccyx during a fall, prolonged sitting on a hard or narrow surface, degenerative joint changes, or vaginal childbirth and sometime repeated trauma in the form of cycling with hard seat.

Pain at the lowest part of spine(tailbone) but typically becomes sharp during certain activities, such as sitting, rising from a seated to a standing position or prolonged standing. Defecation and sex also might become painful. For women, tailbone pain can make menstruation uncomfortable as well.

Tailbone pain, also called coccydynia or coccygodynia, usually heals on its own within a few weeks or months.
To lessen tailbone pain in the meantime:

• Lean forward while sitting down
• Sit on a doughnut-shaped pillow or wedge (V-shaped) cushion
• Apply heat or ice to the affected area
• painkiller

If your tailbone pain doesn't improve (chronic coccydynia), consult your doctor.

Possible treatments for chronic tailbone pain might include:

• Physical therapy
• Manipulation
• Surgery
Steroid injection locally also helps. Sometime it need prolonged treatment if related to osteoporosis or Chronic diseases like Tuberculosis.

Twelve hours is too much take rest in between. Strech back. Refresh you r self. Do not preoccupied with pain. But do not. Ignore. Take hot water fomentation daily. At home surrounding pain area. Check for ergonomical designs of chair desk. Computer level. Adjusted. With you r height. While working keep you r feets. On the ground. Do back excs. Such as cat and camel. Straight leg raising. Surya namskar. Hip extension. Abdominal excs. 20 counts twice a day. For one month. If pain persist visit occupational therapist. In you r area.
