Hi As a baby I had a swelling on my lower back for which I had to undergo operation when I was 6 months. It was described as malenosac by doctor. It exists as a small bump on my lower back at age of 24. A month ago I started gym, I been feeling burning sensation in that area which has become more regular in the past few days.

Hi pain could be because of bony spurs in the heel. Get x-ray done. And wear heel cushions in the shoes, take ultrasound therapy and contrast bath in physiotherapy. It helps along with foot ankle ex's.

Do hot fomentation x twice daily. Postural correction- always sit with a small pillow at your low back. Sit tall, walk tall. Follow the 30-30 rule. Post 30min of work at your desk do 30 sec stretching in the opposite direction. Stand and walk for a few sec. Extension exercises like bridging and bhujang asana x twice daily. Sleep on your back with a pillow under your knees. Avoid lifting any heavy weights.

In urine test some RBC traces. Can you please suggest me the causes and treatment. Is there any kidney disease?

RBC in urine could be due to some medicine you are taking. Kindly stop all medicines. Repeat urine test after 4-5 days. Consult a physician as well.

I have ankylosing spondylitis and am hla b27 positive. What treatment should I adopt?

It requires detailed investigation and examination. Preliminary investigations suggested: hb, tlc, dlc, esr, blood sugar fasting & pp, uric acid vit d urine r/e x-ray of the affected part. Anyway it may be tried sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back, knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Do not ignore it. Let it not become beginning of a bigger problem. Make sure that patient is not allergic to any of the medicines that he/she is going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, inform.

HI Mostly it is common in runners, or it can be due to injury.. Start Physiotherapy focusing on strengthening the quadriceps, hamstrings, adductors, and abductors can help improve your muscle strength and balance. Muscle balance will help prevent knee misalignment. Typically recommended are non-weight-bearing exercises, such as swimming or riding a stationary bike, isometric exercises . DO share your investigation reports for further consultation.

Dear, low back pain are often referred for physical therapy for four weeks as an initial conservative (nonsurgical) treatment option before considering other more aggressive treatments, including back surgery. The goals of physical therapy are to decrease back pain, increase function, and teach the patient a maintenance program to prevent future back problems. Common forms of physical therapy include: 1.Passive physical therapy (modalities), which includes things done to the patient, such as heat application, ice packs and electrical stimulation. For example, a heating pad may be applied to warm up the muscles prior to doing exercising and stretching, and an ice pack may be used afterward to sooth the muscles and soft tissues. OSee Physical Therapy: Passive PT (Modalities) for Back Pain 2.Active physical therapy, which focuses on specific exercises and stretching. For most low back pain treatments, active exercise is the focus of the physical therapy program. This article focuses on active physical therapy and exercise as a means to help recover from back problems and prevent or minimize future flare-ups of low back pain Low back pain has lasted between two and six weeks, or if there are frequent recurrences of low back pain, physical therapy is often recommended. Some spine specialists consider physical therapy sooner, particularly if the pain is severe. •Read more: Exercise and Back Pain In general, the goals of physical therapy are to decrease pain, increase function, and provide education on a maintenance program to prevent further recurrences. My father Age- 74 had got fractured his hand, he has been operated by orthopedic doctor, has fitted two wires in the which are now removed, but his fingers and thumb do not move inside, so he cannot hold anything and one bone has come outside above the palm, so what will be the treatment.

I am suffering from pain in my back side of neck and shoulder. Now from last five days I felt that there is pain in my joints of knee and ankles. And apart from that I feel that there is rise in temperature in my body i.e. Feel like having fever inside my body and having pain in my body. And my body is sweating more due to having fever in body and it sweats more when the body temperature comes down. Can you please suggest me for treatment of the problem ? And one thing I forgot to note that it has started due to staying in office for a long time with lower room temperature (20°c) with ac climate for last two months.

Firstly check a fever. Do neck stretching exercise and hot fermentation avoid toward bending and computer work. Tk calcium supplements and do hot fermentation of knee. If fever is not then do stretching exercise of neck and shoulder for knee. Put a towel roll under knee and press for 10 second then release repeat 10 time.

Keep ice which will reduce the inflammation and that will there by reduce the pain Anaemia always leads to the symptoms of being tired that can also be reason to have frequent pain in the whole body especially in the back bone. Once the oxygen levels in the blood comes down it automatically leads to improper functioning of the joints and muscles. It is also due to vacuum created in the joints as once the body lacks oxygen automatically the body becomes arid and that is one reason to get frequent pain the body ie. back bone. The hip muscles become tired thereby straining in a day with any physical activity might lead to back bone pain.. And also wear MCR chappals which will help you to prevent the weight falling on the hip while standing.

Requires examination and investigation in detail. Presently investigations suggested: hb, tlc, dlc, esr, blood sugar fasting & pp, uric acid vit d xray of the affected part. Hello lybrate user, back pain that is associated with day time sedentary jobs like computer professional s are associated with paraspinal muscle spasms. The best way to tackle this sort of pain is to do well spaced stretching exercises of the back, back extension exercises, using hot water bags to provide relief and avoiding stooping posture while sitting. Posture also plays a very important part in back pain, always maintain a straight posture while sitting. While getting up from the bed try to first go on your left or right side of the body and get up side ways. Avoid cruntches or sit-ups: they may increase the pressure on your back and may predispose to slip disc. Always maintain a healthy lifestyle in terms of regular brisk walking, meditation, eating healthy. P. S: try to avoid pain killers (analgesics) as much as possible as many are associated with side effects that you may not be aware of. Stay healthy. Stay happy god bless you.

As your doctor might have instructed you not to drive because of recurrent pain in spine disc it is better to follow them but during recovery from your pain you can try for shorter distances of not more than ten minutes in a session with good spinal strengthening exercises and postural required changes if any

Hi Apply pranacharya restopain oil or prasarini oil on your affected part then give hot fomentation. Take maha rasnadi kwath 2-2 tsf twice a day. Take pranacharya vatari syrup and capsule twice a day. And agni tundi vati and maha yograj guggul 1-1 tab twice a day.

Hi = relax and stay positive. = increase fluid intake. = eat seasonal fruits for natural vitamins = do streching of hamstring, quadriceps, and calf muscles. = if you are overweight, reduce weight by cycling or swimming as it gives low impact on joints. = do check your calcium and vit. D = apply moist heat pad to affected joint and muscles. If still dont get relief consult physiotherapist as there are various causes for leg/ joint pain and some test may be required for further investigation.
