My maid is suffering from ache in her right foot heel with pinpricking pain. She is 65 with no diabtc or no histry except gastro problem belching continuously 30 to40 minutes with intervel of small seconds to which she is on ayurvedic last 2 years though it remain with her more than decade. She is adamant of washing her own cloth by gerald in hand everyday though advertising to use our washing machine. please guide her.

Apply hot water fomentation thrice a day for 10 days of 15 min duration along with ust and laser therapy for 10 days from neuro physiotherapist.

Few months ago my elbow was broken and later it doesn't give pain but now its too much paining what should I do now ?

Hi I can understand your problem 1) avoid activities that make your symptoms worse 2) apply ice packs 3) start physiotherapy treatment as electrotherapy will reduce pain inflammation 4) exercise and manual therapy will help in pain free movement. There are many conditions that can cause knee pain. - Ice is useful for the control of pain and swelling. It can be applied to the knee for 15 to 20 minutes as often as every two to four hours. The swollen knee should be elevated above the level of the heart while icing. -activities that cause pain should be avoided temporarily. -If the knee is swollen or sore, the following positions and activities should be avoided until knee pain and swelling resolve: Squatting Kneeling Twisting and pivoting Jogging Aerobics, dancing Playing sport You need detail assessment with a Physiotherapist to find out what causing you this pain.

Piriformis stretch 1. Lie on your back. 2. Cross your left leg over your right so that your left ankle rests on your right knee. 3. Use your hands to grab hold of your left knee and pull it gently toward the opposite shoulder. 4. Hold for 15 to 30 seconds. 5. Relax, and then repeat with the other leg. 6. Repeat this cycle 2 to 4 times.

Hello lybrate user, - from how long she is suffering from the pain need to know? - apply mahanarayana taila and give hot fomentation or keep hot water bag for 15min. - take yogaraja guggulu 2-0-2 - weight lifting/ bending or twisting works to be avoided. - she need ayurveda panchakarma treatment like kati basti and basti karma. I am 58 and suffering from back pain in the lower half, not very serious in nature but gives trouble while bending or picking something up from floor. Please advice how this can be mininmised! I have occasional pain in knee joint too in the right leg, more pronounced when I climb up the stairs. Please advice how to get rid of these.

Do some back strengthning exercise and for knee also. Take hot fermentation twice aday avoid bending. Or if you have a dought ornot aware of exercise then consult the physiotherapist.

Please do ice fomentation also. For this crush ice cubes and fill in it in a poly bag apply to the injured part, remeber there should not be an open wound. And apply for atleast 15 minute, time matters, and do it for three to four times in a day.

Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck back knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. For emergency treatment contact your nearest hospital or family doctor. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again. Why not discuss with me in a video conference? Hi back pain after delivery of a child is a usual problem for all the mother so hence you have to strengthen your core muscle as due to pregnancy your core muscle are under a lot of stress and goes into weakness. Start taking hot packs twice daily which will reduce your muscle spasms.

When I get up in the morning my finger joints don' t bend. They are stiff and painful. The ring finger on my right hand gets stuck at right angle many times. And needs to be manually pulled back to position.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. Stiffness is a particular symptom and usually present in inflammatory disorders. Are you suffering from any inflammatory disease for which you are taking any treatment? your finger getting stuck at right angles with subsequent difficulty in straightening it can be due to swelling in tendon sheath which we call as trigger fingers. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana -- Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily.

Back exercises. Many people go to physiotherapists with back pain. Here are two exercises that help to relieve pain and reduce stiffness in the back: •Dear, 1. Lie on your back with both of your legs straight. In this position, bring your left knee up close to your chest. Hold this position for 10 seconds. Return your leg to the straight position. Repeat with the right leg. •2. Stand up with your arms on your side. Bend to the left side while slowly sliding your left hand down your left leg. Come back up slowly and relax. Repeat with the right side of your body.

This is sign of severe urinary tract infection. Rule out reflux. By means of sonography you shall rule out that. And meet pediatric urologist for the same.
