Hi there ~ I am sorry to hear about your acidity problem for the last 10 days. I believe that you will be able to eat properly once your acidity is treated. I would also suggest that you avoid using any cigarettes to avoid acidity. If you have tried over the counter medications to help with acidity and have not helped, please consult a physician or you may also visit with a gastroenterologist m. Hope this helps. If fasting sugar between 70 to 110 is considered as normal .then why lab test mentioned 70 to 100 as normal category and 101 to 125 as prediabetes and 125 and above as confirmed diabetic. .kindly revert n confirmed what is correct version.

Hello, Thanks for the query. Blood glucose 70 to 110 mg is considered as normal level. However some guidelines recently have mentioned that glucose above 100 mg that is 101 to 125 mg (some other guidelines consider 108 to 125 mg) as pre-diabetes. All the guidelines state fasting > 126 mg and above as diabetes. We consider 108 mg to 125 mg as prediabetes and PP 141 to 199 mg as pre-diabetes. Those variations are minor. Thanks.

Tips to Deal With Celiac Disease in Children

Celiac disease is an autoimmune disease caused due to intolerance to the protein called gluten found in common foods like wheat, barley, and rye. The exact reason for the disease is not known, but gluten attacks the small finger-like projections in the intestine called the villi, which help absorb nutrients during the digestion, leading to malnourishment.

Onset of the disease is usually once the child has started on solid foods and can include diarrhea, abdominal discomfort, underweight, skin rashes, anemia, mouth sores, etc. Diagnosis usually happens with a detailed discussion and checking the level of antibodies against gluten in the blood. In rare cases, an intestinal biopsy may also be required. Once confirmed, the following are ways to manage celiac disease.

Dietary changes: Avoiding gluten-containing foods is the first step to treating celiac disease. These are common food substances like wheat and barley. In some cases, the entire family may choose to or need to take this diet, just to provide moral support to the child.

  1. Breads, cakes (made from wheat)
  2. Creamed or breaded vegetables
  3. Processed meats
  4. Dry roasted nuts (as agents used in processing could have wheat)
  5. Fried chicken
  6. Pastas
  7. French fries (that are coated in flour)
  8. Spreads, soft cheeses, and dips
  9. Salad dressings
  10. Gravies and sauces (including some tomato and meat sauces)
  11. Soup mixes and canned soups
  12. Crab or other seafood
  13. Malt or malt-flavored drinks (usually made from barley)
  14. Modified food starch (modified corn starch is OK; modified wheat starch is not)
  15. Nondairy creamer
  16. Soy sauce and soy sauce solids (may be fermented with wheat)
  17. Wheat-free products (may contain barley or rye flour)
  18. Yogurts containing wheat starch

Read the labels of foods to ensure they are free of gluten. Organic/natural food stores and health food stores contain wide range of gluten-free products that can be used with minimal effect on the child's food habits.

Eating out: Just because the child has celiac disease, eating out is not ruled out. Carefully choosing what to eat is suggested. Also, letting the chef know is a good idea, as most chefs will prepare something safer for the child.

Cross-contamination: Avoid cross-contamination: In schools or in cases where the child could potentially eat from other children's boxes, make sure the child is well informed and ensure he does not eat from other kids' lunch boxes. It is also a good idea to keep the class teacher and a couple of his close friends informed of the child's condition.

Most children are easy to educate and adapt well to the changes required, knowing very well that it is for their own good.

Firstly, don't bite your lips. Apply a lip balm without color or flavour in it on lips. Use ghee, cream, or vaseline. Don't use menthol containing items. Avoid mints. Steer away from silver coated sweets. You vil also need a few medications.

Tip 1-Right Nutrition

  • Right nutrition is an essential requirement for back pain. Nutrition is provided by sufficient nutrient which gives strengthen to our musculoskeletal system of the body. Nutrient which provides sufficient nutrition are:-


Tip 2. Regular Exercise for Back

  • Extra weight means extra stress on your body , which lead to back pain .for those that carry weight in the belly region, the strain on the back only increases. Find an eating plan that works for you, and get your BMI under control. As we can see today,most of our activities are sedentary which does not strengthen up our back muscles rather they weaken them. It is even more necessary to exercise regularly. But make sure to try it with the guidance of an expert. (Either a PT or Yoga therapist.
  • Regular exercise builds up the strength of our musculature, mobilises and lubricates our joints and improves the flexibility the most required.
  • Not just that even the nourishment to our musculoskeletal system improves with an improved blood circulation.
  • The different activities which help our spine and back to strengthen can be - yogic asanas, sun-salutations (for those who can), swimming, cycling and walking.

Tip 3. Right Posture

  • As all of us know that we spend lots of time through the day sitting for most of the activities.so it is apparent that your back takes the burden of sitting most of the time. If a right posture is maintained, it can prevent of our back problems.
  • Make sure to let your spine take its natural curvature while sitting. you need to keep in mind proper spine alignment not just when watching TV or sitting at your desk at work. The position you sleep in can go in a wrong way keeping back pain occur. the best position is on your side in a relaxed fetal position with your knee bent .place a pillow between your legs, so that as you sleep, the top leg does not slide forward, causing a twist in your lower back .consider also using a small pillow under your neck, so that your spine stay in alignment as much as possible.
  • Remember to focus on your small daily movements, such as how you pick up objects (always bend at the knees)how you carry your purse or backpack(make sure it's not too heavy and wear your backpack on both shoulders), invest in a new mattress or/and pillow that are firm and prevent your spine to curve, and add some gentle stretching to your morning routine

Follow these best methods to easily gain weight and get a healthy body - * to gain weight, first take a diet rich with proteins and fats. You should take high calories food that increase your muscle mass and induce growth in bones. Follow the diet chart in your daily life to fastly gain weight * in morning, take a glass of milk added with 2 teaspoons of bournvita or complan powder with breakfast. * after 2 hours of breakfast, take 2 bananas or a bowl of boiled soyabeans. Try to workout in cooler environment. There is no harm in doing cardio or weight in an ac room or gym for two months.
