1. Wash hair sparingly and use a good-quality shampoo. Washing hair too often can leave hair dried out, leached of its natural oils, and may damage your hair. Aim to shampoo your hair at most every other day or even only twice a week. 2. Try shampoos that do not contain sulfates or parabens. Sulfates are the chemicals that make shampoos lather up. Parabens are preservatives that cause irritation and eye problems after prolonged use. Both of these chemicals aren't healthy for you or the environment so try to use shampoos with natural cleansers 3. Use conditioner that matches your hair type, length, and treatment damage. A good rule of thumb is to condition every time you shampoo your hair, although very processed or dyed hair probably needs a little more love than natural hair 4. Be careful about using hair care products with too much protein. Too much protein can leave your hair feeling desiccated and brittle. While protein is the building block of healthy hair, use conditioners that come with balanced ingredients. 5. Rinse your hair with vinegar before shampooing, twice a year. Doing this helps to make your hair look shinier and cleaner; plus, it treats dandruff. Use 1 part vinegar (preferably organic apple cider vinegar) to 3 parts warm water, then rinse and wash your hair as normal. 6. Moisturize your hair. Use five oils: almond, castor, olive, coconut and lavender oils. Mix together equal proportions of each. Alternately, use egg oil. Apply to the hair and leave in for four hours prior to showering out. Repeat twice a week. 7. Eat healthily. Give your hair the right amount of vitamins. Since hair is made of proteins, eat a balanced diet rich in lean protein, whole grains, fruits and vegetables. A healthy diet will ensure hair that looks and feels better. Make sure you get plenty of vitamin C. This vitamin strengthens hair. In addition, iron helps transport oxygen to blood vessels, zinc grows and repairs tissue, and omega-3 fatty acids grow healthy hair. Give your hair some time to show new brilliance. What you eat will not have an immediate difference on the hair you already have, but it will help with hair that is newly growing. 8. Remove stress from your life. Physical and mental stressors will keep your hair from realizing its full potential. Stress can cause hair loss, so try not to let stress overcome you. This means finding healthy emotional outlets for your stress: yoga, biking, meditation, or other forms of exercise all work well. 9. Tips Stress has a bigger impact than you think. Meditation can be very helpful, as well as exercise. --Put an oil on your hair at night before going to shower because this makes your hair shiny. --Do not sleep with wet or damp hair. This will weaken the follicles and make hair strands brittle. Blow dry in low heat at the roots before bed. --Most people use more shampoo than they need. Depending on hair length, you probably only need about a quarter sized dollop. --Don't blow dry hair too frequently. Frequent blow drying, or use of other heat products, can stress your hair. --Rinse your hair under cold water after you finish shampooing and conditioning to make it shine and look even more luscious than it was before. •When towel drying, don't rub the hair vigorously. This splits the hair. Try using a micro fiber towel as they soak up lots of moisture. --You can naturally strengthen your hair by mixing carrots, or Vitamin Water together in a blender and rubbing gently into hair before you wash. Be sure to wash out well.

I have problem of cough till two month. I have checkup early but not fine. What can i do?

Firstly there's no lifelong cure for the common cold. Antibiotics are only effective against infections of throat and are of no use against cold viruses. Over-the-counter (otc) cold preparations won't cure a common cold or make it go away any sooner, and most have side effects. A saltwater gargle 1 teaspoon salt and 1/2tsp turmeric dissolved in a glass of warm water can temporarily relieve a sore or scratchy throat. To help relieve nasal congestion, try saline (pure salt water) nasal drops. If you have a throat infection, or a viral cold then I will prescribe appropriate meds based on your detailed assessment. Do reply back for medication prescriptions. Being also a general physician and registered dietitian, I prescribe both evidence based herbal as well as allopathic medicines complementing with dietary guidelines and home remedies carefully personalized for each individual patient.

Here I am seeing many posts by my beloved colleagues referring to surgery for some minute problems which I want to draw there as well as my patients attention that apart from surgery there is another pathy in our medical science which has a great power to heal and cure without scissors i.e. homoeopathy.
Homoeopathy can cure some problems without going to surgery like
1. Fibradenoma
2. Ganglion, cyst
3. Benign tumours
4. Piles and haemorrhages
5. Sexual problems
6. Hormonal issues
7. Menstrual problems
8. Skin problems
9. Renal stones (upto a certain limit)
10. Gastric problems
Moreover now a days homoeopathy is used widely in our country and abroad like france, uk, germany etc for getting a palliation and controlling the cancer without highly side effective medications.
So try homoeopathy once before taking the ultimate decision about your body.
Health is wealth so preserve it not ruin it.

What is healing and past regression therapy and spirit releasing therapy? Is true or fake.

Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS), MD - Alternate Medicine

What is healing and past regression therapy and spirit releasing therapy? Is true or fake.
Hi Lybrate user Spiritual healing ,crystal healing, pranic healing, are the major healing Technics in which proper scanning of your energy meridians I.e your seven chakras your aura can help a healer to diagnose how to heal your problems and what points and type of meditation and pranayam is better for your problems. Past life regression and spirit releasing therapy is dangerous to practice. However some meditation can leads a person to experience it's past life karma which is responsible for the sufferings and after experience those karma's he can learn a lesson and thus resolve his issue in present life. But this meditations is done under a self realized guru under his energy and guidelines, other than this past life regression Technics are dangerous and can't resolve the issues because these Technics can be show you your past karma but they can not resolve the issue because the energy which is required to heal is missing in these type of therapy. As you know if any person is suffering from bad spirit it is a karmic debit of each other so there must exchange of energy and liberation of spirit to higher dimensions is necessary which is done by any learned spiritual person who give necessary energy to bad evil by his prayers and mantra chanting and clear his energy debit lovingly and accents his spirit to higher dimensions so that spirit bless that person and released. But in black magic person torches the spirit and give him pain and make him his slave. Which is not good and if that person loose any way spirit can harm both the person so I suggest you all the aspect of practice. For further assistance feel free to consult me. Your feedback is appreciated. Wishing you a healthier life.

Ayurveda and Weight Loss

Ayurveda or 'science of life' believes in a holistic approach to health and well-being. Lifestyles have changed with more of processed and refined food, less of natural food, reduced exercise, increased sedentary patterns, etc. With this, there is a growing incidence of obesity – both the age of onset and the severity of progression.

Ayurveda attributes good health to a balance between three elements – vaata, kapha, and pitta. The imbalance between the three leads to ill health, including obesity.

Weight loss, according to Ayurveda, includes a holistic approach with lifestyle changes, dietary changes, yoga asanas, and some Ayurvedic remedies.

Dietary changes: A number of herbs are used, which reduce fat accumulation, reduce triglyceride levels, improve insulin resistance, and improve fat-waist ratios.

  1. Have a lukewarm mixture of black pepper, lime juice, and honey first thing in the morning.
  2. Boil cumin seeds, coriander seeds, and fennel seeds; strain and drink throughout the day.
  3. Have honey mixed with cinnamon powder.
  4. Fight obesity with herbs like ginger, triphala, licorice, guggul, and wild gooseberries.
  5. Avoid whites like rice, salt, sugar, and refined flours like maida.
  6. Eat seasonal and natural vegetables and fruits along with dairy products.
  7. Ensure adequate hydration of about three liters per day to get rid of toxins, which are formed during weight loss.

Massage: Ayurveda recommends specific massages aimed at weight loss.

  1. Abhyangam: This massage done using warm herbal oils helps in revitalizing and reenergizing the body. It is a great detox method by improving blood and lymphatic circulation, eliminating wastes, and improving nutritional supply at a cellular level.
  2. Udwarthanam: This is a special dry massage using dry herbal powders and vigorous strokes/movements. They are believed to help in breaking up fatty deposits, improving blood circulation, and improving overall muscle tone.

Ayurvedic herbs:

  1. Ginger: Helps in cholesterol metabolism, reduces fat accumulation, and controls fatty acid oxidation
  2. Triphala: Helps to maintain a lean body mass, prevents fat accumulation, and helps weight loss
  3. Garcinia cambogia: Stops fat accumulation, prevents visceral fat formation and alters fat synthesis
  4. Guggul or Commiphora: Another fat burner, which reduces total cholesterol and triglycerides and improves levels of good cholesterol
  5. Licorice or Glycyrrhiza Glabra: Has phyto-chemicals and flavonoids, which reduce triglyceride levels.
  6. Kalonji: Reduces waist-hip ratios and body mass index

Lifestyle changes:

  1. Include yoga asanas like Ardha Chandraasana, which are aimed at weight loss. Any yoga is useful in detox and improving metabolism.
  2. Quit smoking.
  3. Quit or consume alcohol only in moderation.
  4. Follow a regular sleep routine of 7 to 8 hours.
  5. Maintain adequate hydration.

All these will together help in losing weight, maintaining weight at a desired level and preventing unnecessary weight gain.

Hello doctor, I am 32 year old married girl and I have recently new born boy please suggest me home remedies for my strech mark.

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)

1.Olive oil is rich in antioxidants and nutrients, which are effective for skin disorders. For healing stretch marks, warm the olive oil slightly. Rub it gently on the affected area. With this, the blood circulation will improve and stretch marks will get reduced. 2. Lemon Juice Lemon juice is other easy treatment for stretch marks. The acid present in lemon juice helps in reducing stretch marks, acne, skin injuries, and scars. Take out juice from some lemons. Massage it gently for 10 minutes in a circular motion on the stretch marks. Clean the affected area with warm water. You can also mix some lemon juice with cucumber juice. Apply this mix directly on the affected area. . 3.Castor Oil Castor oil is considered to be a healing treatment for skin problems, like moles, dark spots, wrinkles, pimples, and fine lines. How is it used to heal stretch marks? Well, you can apply castor oil directly on the stretch marks. Massage it in a circular motion for 15 minutes. After massaging, wrap the affected area with thin and clean cotton cloth. Now, apply some heat with the help of heating pad or hot water bottle. Continue the process for 30 minutes daily for one month to get best results. 4. Cocoa Butter Cocoa butter is famous for its anti-wrinkling and anti-aging properties. It helps in enhancing the blood circulation, which reduces stretch marks. Massage the affected area with cocoa butter at least two times a day. Repeat the process for two months and notice the reduced scars. Else, mix half cup of cocoa butter with one tablespoon of wheat germ oil, one teaspoon of tea kernel oil, two teaspoons of grated beeswax, and vitamin E oil. Heat the mix until the beeswax melts. Apply it on the stretch marks twice or thrice a day. The mixture can be stored in a sealed box in the refrigerator
