Hi She can take naproxen tabs twice a day after meals, apply systaflam cream to joints after hot fomentation calcirol sachets once a week for 4 weeks calcium supplements, like dosto calcium twice daily for a month. Use knee support or knee cap thanks.

1) I have a flat foot. I can't stand for much longer. Please suggest what to do to overcome this problem. 2) 2 years ago I had an injury in my ankle. Maybe a hairline fracture. But it got cured. But nowadays I feel little pain in the same area in the morning.

Dear Lybrate User, 1) Wear an arch or insole for flat foot. 2) Get Calcium, Vitamin D tested and try physiotherapy (esp ultrasonic therapy) Physiotherapy might help in both the conditions or issues. Focus more on strengthening and stretching exercises of foot and ankle. Hope this will help!

Dear lybrate-user, Get X-ray (Both knees - AP and Lat. Views) or MRI done to rule out any structural joint abnormalities. Meanwhile, gentle massage over knees with lukewarm herbal pain relieving oils daily for about 15-20 minutes and hot fomentation afterwards will greatly help in subsiding the pain. Ayurveda’s Panchakarma offers specialized treatment of JANU BASTI for knee pains - these procedures would give strength to your knee and reduce the pain and stiffness. Regular oiling the joint will improve the lubrication also. Use knee caps over the joints and avoid over exertion of the joint. Avoid sitting crossed legs. This will greatly help. Hello. Let her apply Bakson’s Rheum Aid oil gently (2-3 times a day) and take orally Bakson’s Rheum-Aid syrup/ 1 tablespoon thrice daily. Also, increase her dietary intake of calcium which is present in green leafy vegetables, milk, milk products, sea food, white legumes, dried fig, black-eyed peas, almonds, oranges, seasame seeds. And vitamin D which is essential for absorption of calcium in our body and is synthesized naturally after getting exposed to sunlight, so early morning sunlight for 10-15min., 2-3 times a day is mandatory. Apart from this, do walk daily along with physiotherapy will also help you. Do share her reports with me for better guidance.

dear user. as ortho dr. said if you have gap between bones then i must say you need to take physiotherapy treatment for some time. traction Inferential and ultrasonic therapy will reduce the gap between bones and helps regain strength in back. take physio treatment Asap

I have facial asymmetry and Ive observed this since I was 15years. My left eyebrow is higher than the right. Left side of the chin is more elongated, muscles of the left side can be easily moved but not of the right side and the lower teeth are towards the right ie the chin is towards the right side. The midline of upper and lower teeth doesn't come in the same line. The right lower canine overlaps the upper canine. It is totally noticeable. Am 20year old now. Please suggest what can be done. concerned with teeth malpositioning you need to undergo myofuncttional orthodontic treatment along with cosmetic surgical treatment for facial assymetry.....this is the stage u need immediate intervention....so visit nearby orthodontist and cosmetic surgeon as early as possible

Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck back knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. Avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area contrast fomentation (hot and cold).

Aviod toward bending and lifting heavyweight do swd tens and ultrasonic therapy and do stretching exercise lying supine, bend your knee in knee to chest position ok hold by your hands then straigth your knee (upper side) according your comfortableness do 3 to 5 times it will solve your sciatic pain.

All back pain are not slip disc. Even severe spasm of (muscle strain) para spinal muscles (antigravity muscles) also won't allow you to put on body weight on the limbs. Malposition of any facet joint also leads to mechanical lock of that joint & restricts mobility severely. Of course slip disc may be one of the causes. But in acute stage & initially this is not right to draw a conclusion that is a case of slip disc as because it is difficult to perform clinical special tests at this stage due to severe pain. Mri scan only can confirm a slip disc. As of now rest (gravity eliminated position, i. E lying), icing, analgesic spray once in every 4hrly for upto at least 3-4 days is required. Kinesio taping adds on mobility & also helps in reducing pain intensity.
