Try using honey, sugar, and lemon to exfoliate your skin. Apply yogurt with gram flour, spoon full of honey, and lime juice .Make it into a thick paste and apply in your skin and leave it for 15-20 min. Then wash your face with cool water. You can see the difference! Just put some olive oil on a cotton pad and gently massage the oil onto your face to get rid of the makeup and dirt. Don't: Forget that exfoliation is indispensable. At least once or twice a week, exfoliate your skin to remove the layers of dead skin, sure to leave you with a more healthy glow and brighter skin.

Why Indian Traditions Are Healthy

Indian traditions are more like the first lessons which are taught by the elders of the house. These traditions are often followed without any doubts and questions. These traditions are not just being followed for the sake of religious rituals, but have deep rooted scientific reasons associated with the same.

Some of the interpretations of these rituals are as follows:

  1. Namaste: When we greet someone or meet someone for the first time we join both our hands for Namaste. This is done out of sheer respect for the person. Doing Namaste activates the acupuncture points of the fingertips and helps us to remember the person.
  2. Ushapan: This is the practice of drinking water from a copper utensil. This helps in absorbing the extra heat of the body, thereby, maintaining the body temperature. The water should be kept overnight in the copper pot before drinking. It is believed that drinking water from a copper pot helps in bowel movement, cleaning of the stomach and creating digestive juices.
  3. Sukhasan: When one sits on the floor with crossed leg is referred to as sukhasan. For having food in this position a person has to bend while eating and has to move up and down while eating. When this happens, the stomach is pushed while bending and the back is straight before taking the next bite. This movement leads to muscular movements thereby, helping to produce digestive juices and aids in swallowing as well.
  4. Vamakukshi and Shatapawali: Vamakukshi is referred to as the afternoon nap post lunch. Sleeping on the left side helps in the digestion of the food. Though prolonged sleep can make a person lazy, a quick 10 minute nap is recommended as it allows a person to be fresh. Shatapwali means taking 100 steps, to be more appropriate it is the walk after dinner. This helps in the digestion of food as the gas created after consuming food is moved and the pressure in the chest is reduced. The above terms literally explain the famous phrase, "After lunch sleep a while, after dinner walk a mile."
  5. Ear Piercing: Though ear piercings are looked at as a fashion ornament, but as per the Hindu traditions, these help in decision making, thinking abilities and intellectual development and also to some extent an acupressure point. It is ideal to get a baby"s ear pierced by the 12th day of her birth, as it is believed that getting ears pierced early leads to acquiring the quality of minimal speech.
  6. Touching Feet of Elders: This is known as one of the best exercises as it aids in blood circulation, helps in stretching and pushing the organs, improves excretion and digestion and strengthens the physique. It is also believed to transfer an aura and positive energy from the person whose feet are being touched.

I am 21 years old .Last week on 16th june, my right foot was twisted while I was playing badminton. A swelling appeared on my right ankle and I find it difficult to walk at that time. A surgeon stays right beside my house and I consulted him. He said it was by 90% an ankle sprain and suggested me crepe bandage, volini spray, mobizox and chymoral forte. I took it for 3 days and there was a great relief. I can even walk now - (cannot run.) .But sometimes when I sit on chair or on bed, I feel some sort of pain (bearable pain) at the ankle position. Is this the indication that the actual injury was a fracture. I am doubtful because if it was a fracture I wouldn't be able to walk for almost a week .But I can walk. So is this possible that this a hairline fracture and thats why I can walk. Please tell me the reason behind the pain while sitting or lying on bed. Also the pain occurs sometimes not always and that too for a short period probably 2-3 minutes. Also please suggest some home remedies and precautions.

Hi lybrate-user as you have mentioned about your earlier diagnosis and treatment ,I would like to suggest you for X-RAY of your foot ,in this way you ll be very much clear whether it is even hair line fracture or not, sometimes yes definitely there is hidden pain due to hair line crack so better to be cleared. And yes if there is no fracture case at all it might be panic due to lack of strength so physiotherapy is must in that case because once there is ligament injury after that strengthening is needed so consult to any good Physiotherapist and under her observation learn proper strengthening exercises and stretches because stretches can help you to protect from further any injury .And till now precaution is better than cure so try to avoid exertion and don't try to run.

  • Communicate properly with your partner

Hello, It's good to reduce weight at right time as many problems including irregular menses are directly related to overweight! Read the following guidelines and implement them in your routine: Management: 1: Drink plenty of water (at least 2­3 l/d) or other calorie­free beverages. 2: Be choosy about nighttime snacks. 3: Enjoy your favorite foods. 4: Have 6 meals per day ­ 3 main courses and 3 snack meals (snack meals should be healthy). 5: Do regular exercises daily (start with light and later may be little vigorous) . Exercise decreases the stress hormone in your body, burns calories and also increases the blood circulation. 6: Eat seasonal fruits. Fruit helps to satisfy your sweet tooth thanks to its natural sugars, while fresh vegetables help you fill up more quickly. Fruits and vegetables contain fiber to help you feel full quickly. 7: Eat more whole grains and cut simple carbs. Whole wheat bread, oatmeal, whole wheat pasta, sweet potato, and brown rice are all excellent sources of energy and sources of nutrition. 8: Choose lean proteins instead of fatty ones. 9: Cut the salt from your diet. Eating more sodium causes your body to retain water, which can cause you to feel bloated and gain more weight. 10: Don't skip meals.When you skip meals, your body stops breaking down fat and starts breaking down muscle tissue. If you're attending a party or going out for a special occasion, allow yourself an indulgence. Just make sure that these indulgences don't become daily habits. Doing exercises regularly will not only cut down your belly fat, but also you will get a body in good shape and you will be get rid of many diseases related to it! Exercises: Following exercises will help you to achieve this if you don’t have any other medical condition: 1.The Plank ­ Lie down on your tummy and then come on your palms and toes.Lift the knees off the floor. Draw your tummy muscles up and breathe deeply into the side and back of the rib cage. Aim to hold the pose for 30 seconds. 2.Static Tiger pose ­ Place your hands and knees on the floor. This is the starting position. Now lift up one leg and extend the opposite arm. Hold this Static Tiger Pose for 3 deep breaths. Come back to the starting position and swap sides, extending arm and opposite leg. You can look down towards the mat to keep the spine in line. This exercise will build core strength. 3.Sitting Spinal Twist ­ Sit on the floor and cross your legs. Place one hand next to your hip and the other on the knee. Rotate the spine and look over one shoulder into a Sitting Spinal Twist. Inhale. Exhale back to centre. Swap sides, rotating and looking over the shoulder. Inhale. Exhale back to centre. 4.Stomach Crunches ­ Lie on your back, knees bent and feet flat on the floor, hip­width apart. Place your hands on your thighs, across your chest or behind your ears. Slowly curl up towards your knees until your shoulders are about three inches off the floor. Hold the position for a few seconds and lower down slowly. Perform 12 stomach crunches. 5.Oblique Crunch ­ Lie on your back, knees bent and feet flat on the floor, hip­width apart. Roll your knees to one side down to the floor. Place your hands across your chest or behind your ears. Slowly curl up towards your hips until your shoulders are about three inches off the floor. Hold the position for a few seconds and lower down slowly. Perform 12 oblique crunches and repeat on the opposite side. Medication for obesity: Start taking Schwabe's Phytolacca Berry tablets/ thrice daily 1/2 an hr before the meals for 1 month. Thereafter revert me back for further guidance. All the best!

Hi… A) apply paste of milk and fine powder of turmeric on face, two times in a day B) take 30 ml of RUBYCLIN liquid before meals C) take 1 tsf of haridra khand after meals D) take 1 tablet of gandharwa-haritaki vati at night prior to sleep Do all these things for 15 days. Your blood sugar is quite high 1. Go for regular exercise 2. Reduce your weight, if overweight 3. Control your Diet, by avoiding sweets, high calorie and carbohydrate rich diet like rice, potato, maida, sugar, bakery items, etc 4. Adhere to a strict Diabetic diet after consulting Dietitian 5. Check your Fasting, PP blood sugar and HBA1c 3 monthly and consult diabetologist for advice and treatment

HI, Please follow these tips to get rid of constipation: 1. Drink 2-3 lts of water per day. 2. Consume lot of fibre in your diet like raw vegetables, fruits, whole grains, oats. Etc. 3. Eat one fully ripe big banana at bed time. 4. Drink one glass of hot milk with one spoon of ghee in it at bedtime. 5. Take your food at regular intervals. Avoid spicy and oil fried food. 6. Never curb the urge to pass stools. 7. Never put in lot of pressure to pass stools. 8. Take 1tsf of Isabgol powder with a glass of hot water at bedtime to get an easy evacuation. 9. Do sitz bath twice daily.

You do not have dangerous level of suggesting hemochromatosis Iron overload is usually caused by an inherited condition called haemochromatosis. Excess iron can poison organs, which can lead to conditions such as cancer, irregular heartbeat and cirrhosis of the liver. Symptoms are related to conditions that arise from iron overload such as diabetes, darkening of the skin, abnormal heart rhythm or arthritis. Iron can be dropped to safe levels by regularly removing blood from the body.
