Dear User, all problems are not related to cancers. At 15 it very unlikely to be cancer. Please visit an ENT surgeon who can look into your voice box using a mirror and get to the right diagnosis. Avoid smoking, tobacco, hukka in case you r using them. Check pollution levels in your city. Tuberculosis, papillomas are very common causes of change in voice. Visit a doctor immediately All the best.

I have a lipoma on my forehead. It is not painful, I do not think its getting big but I really wanna know is there any non surgical treatment, any! Change of diet, home remedies, ayurveda etc which can help to shrink it. For the record- I do a good amount of workout. And can using heating pad or hot water bottle help in shrinking or to melt the fatty lump. A reply ll be very much appreciated.

Hello lybrate-user, no need to get it removed. Unless it is symptomatic or troubling you aesthetically. No food, exercise, or medicine will treat it. Surgery is the only way you can get it removed. It's not cancerous for sure if its a lipoma. Regards.

My father is suffering from colon cancer and it is in fourth stage what best we can do and what are the survival chances his age is 84 year please guide me properly and tell me everything clearly With High regard.

Hello lybrate-user, sorry to hear about your father. He is 84 and has lived over the average expectancy of an individual. At this point we should consider quality of life rather than cure for cancer since he is old and cancer has spread. If he is symptomatic for Colon cancer he should be operated for the colonic mass to give him relief. Laparoscopic surgery or Robotic surgery is preferable. Even a simple stoma can be done to allay symptoms. However, that would mean daily toilet cleaning for relatives and self. Regards.

Hello lybrate-user lovely report. Congratulations. Hopefully a partial Nephrectomy has been done saving the rest of the kidney. This report suggests you have a low risk less aggressive tumor although Lymphovascular invasion may signify some nodal Mets. Just keep a good follow up every 6 months with USG abdo pelvis for the next 3 years Regards.

I am 62 year retired male I got 3 cm malignant tumor in the rectum just above the anal verge. It is localised according to reports of ct and colonoscopy doctors are saying that it is t3n0m0 stage and highly curable. But doctor suggested for a direct surgery i.e apr and if there is a further need of chemoradiation can be taken. So I went for a second opinion and got advised that first I have to take chemoradiation for 35 days after that a rest of 4 weeks and then go for surgery. Now I am confused about what to do adjuvant therapy or neoadjuvant therapy.in both cases a permanent colostomy is advised coz tumor is just above anal verge.

Dear lybrate-user, please DO NOT get your surgery done. FIRST is CHEMORADIATION. Please assess with MRI if sphincter can be preserved. There are ways to prevent your sphincter avoiding permanent stoma. Do not get your APR done unless you receive CHEMORADIATION FIRST. After that MRI to be repeated and reassessed Regards.

No food, fruit or vegetable will reduce or palliate symptoms. Kindly get to a Urologist and get his symptom score assessed to know whether he needs surgery or not. Also get a PSA done to rule out cancer of the prostate.

My wife 's cousin suffering from breast pain and she is 15 years old she is living jakarta with parents could please tell me there is a doctor who join lybra+e and they comfortable to talk.

MCh - Surgical Oncology, FEBS - Fellow of European Board of Surgical Oncology
Oncologist, Navi Mumbai
Breast pain in 15 year old can be due to 1) breast enlargement which is very common at her age 2) related to menses. Could be cyclical or non cyclical 3) pain may be due to bone disease which is under the breast. Ask for a careful history keeping these in mind. Most likely the pain is physiological related to increase in breast size.
