I often have mouth sores which don't go away for nearly a week. Is there any medication for that?

Bachelor of Dental Surgery

I often have mouth sores which don't go away for nearly a week. Is there any medication for that?
1.) Avoid hot, spicy, salty, or acidic foods and beverages. Eg- lemons, oranges, pineapples, apples, tomatoes 2.) Take Becosule Capsule daily for 2 weeks. 3.) Reduced stress level helps as stress is a causing factor. 4.) Avoid tobacco and limit alcohol. 5.) Meanwhile apply Hexigel ointment on the sores for relief.

My 6 year old daughter having bed smell problem from mouth at time of wake up in morning. Please guide us for solve this problem.

MDS, BDS
Dentist, Delhi
Either you or her mother will just have to take care of the basic hygiene. Please make sure you make her brush and rinse her mouth before she goes to bed at night. Try to avoid giving her milk or anything else to eat or drink after that. Get her to rinse her mouth immediately after she gets up in the morning. And then ensure she brushes her mouth in the morning as well. Also, please check her teeth to see if there are any cavities in any of her teeth or see a Pediatric Dentist for the same.

Dear lybrate-user first of all don't get panic at all. There are many types of headaches like migraine or cluster headache etc. A proper counselling with a good physician is requierd so that he can diagnose which type of headache you have and what is the right approach to give a treatment for it. And do not worry every type of headache has a proper treatment and can be cured permanently. I like to clear few things alloys used in dentistry are biocompatible and doesn't cause any harm to the body. Still if you have any doubts you can get a xray called OPG frm ny diagnostic centre it will give a clear picture of your dentition and peri apical areas. U can show me d opg thru this link only. I will tel you if you have any problem with the denture or teeth ot bones around d area. Thanx.

I have been asked to go for a wisdom tooth removal. It's growing horizontally but the pain is only minimal as of now. Is it necessary? How much pain will I be in after surgery? How do I prep for it? Should I eat a lot n go for the removal ?is it advisable to get your teeth cleaned and wisdom tooth removed on the same day? How can I make this less painful. Kindly advise. Thank you.

Orthodontic treatment for adults
Come over the myth that orthodontic treatment is meant only for kids and adolescents. Adults, what may your age be, if your periodontal status is good and bone level is sufficient, you can get the treatment done.

Dear Lybrateuser, - Avoid chewing tobacco - apply Smyle mouth gel before & after eating food three times a day - have plenty of oral fluids including 7-8 glasses of water for proper hydration - get checked by a dentist to rule out any other problem.
