Dear lybrate user. I can understand. You will not face any problem with your curved penis. In fact it will give you more pleasure because of the increased friction than straight penis. Take care.

What are the symptoms of dengue and how can we prevent it what precautions we must take? Please help me.

AUTLS, CCEDM, MD - Internal Medicine, MBBS
General Physician, Faridabad
What are the symptoms of dengue and how can we prevent it what precautions we must take? Please help me.
The principal symptoms of dengue are: High fever and at least two of the following: Severe headache Severe eye pain (behind eyes) Joint pain Muscle and/or bone pain Rash Mild bleeding manifestation (e. G, nose or gum bleed, petechiae, or easy bruising) Watch for warning signs as temperature declines 3 to 5 days after symptoms/fever began, as this is the most dangerous period when platelet counts decline significantly. Report immediately to hospital if any of the following warning signs appear: Severe abdominal pain or persistent vomiting Red spots or patches on the skin Bleeding from nose or gums Vomiting blood Black, tarry stools (feces, excrement) Drowsiness or irritability Pale, cold, or clammy skin Difficulty breathing There is no specific medication for treatment of a dengue infection. Persons who think they have dengue should use analgesics (pain relievers) with acetaminophen (crocin or dolo -650 mg) and avoid those containing ibuprofen, naproxen, aspirin or aspirin containing drugs. They should also rest, drink plenty of fluids like coconut water, lime water etc. To prevent dehydration. Preventing dengue fever: the best way to prevent the disease is to prevent bites by infected mosquitoes. To protect yourself: Avoid visiting heavily populated residential areas, if possible. Use mosquito repellents, even indoors. When outdoors, wear long-sleeved shirts and long pants tucked into socks. Make sure window and door screens are secure and free of holes. If sleeping areas are not screened or air conditioned, use mosquito nets.

You most probably have a saddle- nose deformity due to your nose surgery. In all likelyhood, you will need another surgery ( augmentation rhinoplasty) for the correction of the deformity. Please see an ENT specialist for the same.

Maintain proper weight, avoid sugars and carbohydrates and regularly, and follow the advise of the treating physician religiously. You have to consult a physician and get your blood glucose levels tested. If required you may have to take antidiabetic drugs, but that comes on no. 3. First is diet second is exercise.

Hi sir/madam, i am suffering from headache when I drink beer. So, can you tell me the solution for it ?
Hi, well, your headache could be because of hyperglycemia (high blood sugar) or a liver disease that you may be suffering from. I would advise you to consult a diabetologist in this regard. He/ she may require you to undergo blood sugar and liver function test to clinch the diagnosis. In the mean time, however, it would be advisable to restrict alcohol till you get a clear signal from your consulting physician. All the very best and take care.

I have some red spots on the tip of my penis. The foreskin is paining. I'm uncircumcised. What to do?

I have some red spots on the tip of my penis. The foreskin is paining. I'm uncircumcised. What to do?
It is quite normal for some men to have bumps on the shaft of the penis and/or at the base of the penis head. However, it is important to keep in mind that various sexually transmitted diseases can cause changes to the appearance of your penis. That is why it is best to have them evaluated by a doctor to rule out any STD. A common type of STD that presents as small bumps and is sometimes mistaken for pimples is genital herpes. Herpes lesions can appear on the shaft of the penis as round blisters with clear fluid that sit on top of a red base. When the blisters break, they usually cause quite painful sores or have a burning sensation. Another common cause of pimple-like bumps on the penis is genital warts (HPV). They are transmitted sexually and usually painless but can be painful depending on the size and anatomic location. You can only be diagnosed after your doctor examines your bumps closely and gets a detailed history. After a physical examination, these STDs are typically confirmed with a swap test. If a STD has been ruled out, you probably don't need toworry about your pimple-like bumps. The most common tiny bumps circling the neck or middle area of the penis that can either be white, pink, or sometimes red are known as pearly penile papules. They may also be another harmless condition known as Fordyce's spots. These Fordyce's spots usually appear as numerous small pale or white bumps under the skin. Or, they may be just pimples, which do occur from time to time on the penis. Again, I advise speaking with a doctor. Only your doctor can distinguish the different types of penis bumps. Only then you can be diagnosed and treated.

For management of fever, first it has to be clinically confirmed that how much is the temp. And if required based on symptoms and signs it can be investigated further. For mild fever with common cold a tablet of acetaminophen can be taken but for fevers associated with dengue, malaria, burning micturition and diarrhea, some investigations may be required. In your case you can start with tab crocin and a private consultation is recommended.
