Hi, When your previous menses was normal with 5-6 days of bleeding and there is no sexual activity after that till today, there are no chances of pregnancy. Hence there is no need to worry. The delay may be due to harmonal imbalance.

No, do not take a second pill since 1 hr had elapsed after taking the first pill and it must have been absorbed. The vomiting is of no consequence.

Day 7-18 of cycle are the fertile days when conception is possible. After menopause all days are safe. Seminal fluid always will flow out even if pillow is kept under her hips. But if semen is normal even in a few drops millions of sperms will be swimming up.

Constipation is a common problem during pregnancy. Take lots of liquids like milk, milk products and water. Fruits and vegetables will increase the fibre intake. So add even them in your diet.

It's not advisable to take these pills as they create harmonal imbalance and menstrual irregularities, which in future might create difficulties in conceiving, you are just 18 and even in girls or women who are older we abstain them from having these.

Have been in a intimate relationship and had to take medicines like clear and mistopol dose this effect in future health and the present health please help.

BHMS
Homeopath, Raebareli
Please note that it has got side-effects such as -- inter-menstrual spotting, nausea, breast tenderness, headaches, weight gain, mood changes, missed periods, decreased libido, vaginal discharge and visual changes with contact lenses, etc. The emergency contraceptive pill is to be used only as an emergency contraceptive method. It should not be used as a regular contraceptive method and is quite unhealthy if taken more than twice a month.

I have done BHCG test the result came 1.77 mIu/ml. And it was also noted that sample highly lipemic what does it mean? Will it affects my HCG result?

Test is negative. Either it is too early & conception has not occured because it is 20 mlu/ml just after conception on around 14 days or a few days later, levels rapidly keep rising with time as pregnancy progresses till urine starts excreting hcg hormones to be detected on a strip after 2 days of due date. Anyway better collect a container from the lab, if it is to be tested at home. Do share the good news with us.

Causes and Symptoms of Human Papillomavirus

MD, MBBS
Gynaecologist, Gurgaon
Causes and Symptoms of Human Papillomavirus

HPV or human papillomavirus is a strain of viral infection that is usually passed through skin to skin contact. There are many varieties of HPV although the main focus is one the ones, which are usually transmitted through sexual contact. Most sexually active people are infected by this disease although very few develop the full fledged symptoms.

Symptoms of HPV: Primary symptoms of HPV are the growth of warts on your body in various stages or in various areas. Some of them are:

  1. Typical common warts: The easiest way to spot an HPV infection is the development of common warts on any parts of the body. They could appear on elbows, hands, feet and fingers. These look like bumps on the skin and although they aren't usually are painful and itchy, but are unsightly.
  2. Flat warts: Flat warts tend to be small smooth bumps, which are slightly raised skin lesions on the body which can be a little darker in colour. Men usually get this in the beard and face area while women tend to get this on their legs.
  3. Plantar warts: These warts usually grow on the heels or the balls of the feet and are hard grainy growths. These can be painful and even cause discomfort while walking.
  4. Genital warts: This is one of the most obvious and most common symptoms of HPV, especially in the variety, which is transmitted through sexual contact. These usually look like small bumps or protrusions on the skin and can be of different shapes. Women can have this on the vulva, vagina or even cervix and men can have this on the penis, scrotum, and adjacent areas. Both men and women can have this on their anus as well.

Causes of HPV: The primary cause of HPV infection is the intrusion of the virus in your skin through small cuts or abrasions on your skin. Skin to skin contact with an infected person will transfer this. However, genital warts are usually transferred from skin to during sexual contact. Even oral sex can transmit HPV and cause lesions in the upper respiratory tract and cause breathing problems as well. Most warts can also be transferred with the contact or touching the wart directly and thus should be avoided.

If you don't want to keep the pregnancy, then you can go for medical abortion after consulting doctors. But don't take drugs directly from medicine shops as they may be harmful.

This week am try to another attempt above embryos freezing. Immediate make attempt in case any side effects in my wife. My wife age is 29. Any advice for this 4th stage what success we do? Pls doctor our family so suffered.

I suggest you to take a break for 1 month before going for 2nd cycle with frozen embryos bcoz body needs time to settle. Secondly I would suggest you to ask your doctor to give you additional supporting drugs after embryo transfer probably enoxaparin to increase the success of implantation of your embryos. And don't take stress .everything will happen good. Be positive.

This tab should not have been taken as it's a deworming tab, however now at this stage get her Ultrasound done so as to rule out for any foetal abnormality.
