I am a 41 year old diabetic male, I am suffering from neck, right shoulder and back pain since 8 years. Inspite of doing regular excercise I am unable to get rid of this pain. I consult with a orthopedic he has prescribed me vitamin d3 and calcium tablet but all in vain. Please guide me.

Since you have mentioned that you have done regular physiotherapy, medicines etc and have still not gained any relief, my advise to you will be to get mri and dynamic x rays of your spine done so that we can see whats wrong. Lybrate-userji as you said you twisted your knee. In such cases you should investigate first by x ray nd mri as most of the time you got ligament injury. Till that time you can not do exercise. If on mri there is no ligament injury than nd than you should do exercise.

Long sitting hours can fatigue the back muscles. You need to strengthen your back muscles so they are able to take the load of your spine. Take breaks while sitting. Get up and do some back stretches. Walk around your work area. Learn back exercises from a physiotherapist and do them. Also you can do hot fomentation which would decrease the pain.

Low back pain due to wrong posture while doing daily activities. Kindly get a x-ray done and physiotherapy in the form of back extension exercises.

Around three weeks ago I got my foot injured while playing football. Actually there was a collision of feet between me and another player. The swelling is quite less as compared to the earlier situation but still there is a little bit of pain. Please suggest what to do.

You could have a ligament injury. Ligaments have poor blood supply and hence take time to heal. You should get an xray done and visit an orthopaedic surgeon because if it were a minor sprain it should have healed by now.

Hi, You may be suffering from severe arthritis. Please take out an MRI of the knees to know the extent of the damage occured to the joint and revert back with the reports. Time being, apply Rhumatil gel to the knees 3-4 times per day and give hot water fomentation. Do not take pain killers orally for long duration. Do not use Indian toilets and do not squat on the floor. Also get your serum calcium and Vit. D3 levels checked.

Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. SPRING BEDS, FOLDING BEDS OR THICK MATRESS ARE HARMFUL Use no pillow under the head. DO HOT FOMANTATION. Paracetamol 250mg OD & SOS x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab OD x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again.. Do not ignore .It could be beginning of a serious problem. Describe your symptoms separately.
