Mr your sugar levels are not high enough to label you as having diabetes. So medication is not required. You fasting glucose intolerance (fgt). Pp level is with in 140 mg hence normal. What this means is you in a pre diabetic state. Do you have any family history of diabetes? if so then you to take extra care. Your bmi (body mass index) is 25.71 kg/m2 which is signifying over weight. To avoid possibility of developing t2dm exercise daily for more than 1 h every day, avoid direct sweets and sugar, deep fried foods, excess eating. Try and loose at least 6 - 7 kgs weight over next 3 - 4 months. Avoid smoking and alcohol. If you take these precautions you will probably remain free from diabetes.

Jamun is a very good ayurvedic source to keep diabetes in check and so is methi dana and bitter gourd. 1. Mix ½ tsp Turmeric Powder + 1 tsp Amla Powder + ½ tbsp Methi Seeds Powder in half glass of water and take daily in the morning on empty stomach. You can also grow methi sprouts and eat them. 2. Remove the skin and seeds of 4-5 bitter gourds. Crush them to a make a paste. Press this paste on a sieve an extract the juice. Drink this juice on an empty stomach every morning. 3. Boil 1 L of water. Let it simmer for 20 min on low flame. While simmering, add 3 tsp of cinnamon powder. Strain the mixture. Drink entire amount of this water everyday. 4. My thyroid TSH level is 7 is it required to start taking medicines for maintaining healthy thyroid level?

MBBS, CCEBDM, Diploma in Diabetology
Endocrinologist, Hubli-Dharwad
Hello, TSH level 7 mU/L, is considered sub-clinical hypothyroidism. Treatment is advised only after TSH goes over 10 mU/L. Now at this level one needs to take precautions like avoiding soy beans, soy containing product, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, radish, mustard, peanuts and coffee. Plus consume more of green leafy vegetables, salads and fruits. Always use whole grain flour for chapati and roti. Avoid bakery products and other items made of maida. Exercise regularly to maintain normal weight and take a balanced diet providing exact calories based on ideal body weight and extent of daily physical activity. Plus check your TSh level at least once in 3 to 4 months. Thanks.

Can sugar patients eat egg daily? is egg beneficial for them ?
It is safer to eat egg white and not yolk, if you eat daily. But there is no harm in eating once weekly and you must always monitor blood sugar. It is safer to eat one or twice a week. If you eat daily eat white of egg and not yolk. Asm me for regular advice as personal doctor.

Your thyroid test results show that tsh level is slightly higher than normal limit. It is classified as sub clinical hypothyroidism. Usually treatment is initiated when tsh level crosses 10 milli units / ml. Your bmi is 19.28 kg/m2, which is low. You need to take good balanced diet, exercise regularly, increase the caloric intake as well as protein quantity to build muscle mass. You should avoid soy beans, soy containing products, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, radish, peanuts, mustard and coffee. Consume more of green leafy vegetables and salads and fruits. Always use whole grain flour for chapati and roti, do not use maida.

The increase in the blood sugar levels damages nerves and blood vessels. It also leads to complications like cardiovascular diseases, strokes, kidney problems, blindness, dental problems and amputations. High blood glucose levels also damage nerves and blood vessels. Diabetes can also lead to depression, fertility issues, and increased risk of other diseases and lack of mobility as the age of the person increases. It is very difficult to find out what exactly triggers diabetes, but health experts say that genes and environmental factors are responsible for rise in blood glucose levels. There are two types of diabetes- type 1 diabetes and type 2 diabetes. Let us study the causes that give rise to type 1 and type 2 diabetes. Diabetes is a grave medical condition, but with a healthy diet and regular exercise, managing the condition becomes a child? s play. Here are a handful of diabetes home remedies every diabetic can rely on to keep fluctuations of sugar levels under control. Bitter gourd: bitter gourds are one among the most effective ways for preventing sugar level fluctuations. Being a safe vegetable, this iron-rich gourd can be consumed by anyone. It influences the glucose metabolism in the body and helps stimulate pancreatic insulin secretion. Known to thwart off insulin resistance, bitter gourd is equally beneficial for people suffering from type 1 and type 2 diabetes. Drink a glass of bitter gourd juice, flavored with a little honey, every morning to keep diabetes away. Guava is rich in both vitamin c and fiber, both that help in maintaining normal blood sugar levels. A very good home remedy for diabetes. Just peel the skin and consume one fruit daily to reap its benefits get some physical activity daily to burn calories and stay in shape. This will also reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases. Have a lot of fiber in the form of fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds and whole grains any queries inform me. And loose some weight you want diet chart consult privately.

Avoid chocolate, cakes, ice cream, soft drinks and fruit juices. Eat lots of vegetables. Walk for at least 30 minutes a day for 5 days in a week.
