You may need deep cleaning along with surgical, gum strengthening procedure. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with a mouth wash after every meals. Use pepsodent tooth paste & gum paint for 2 to 3 weeks. Advance procedures can be done with laser. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush. Tooth brush to be changed every 2 months.

Sensitivity Of The Teeth Can Be Because Of Multiple Reasons

Sensitivity of the teeth can be because of multiple reasons:

1) Too hard brushing or brushing your teeth with a hard brush can wear off the proctective layer of your teeth called the enamel which can lead to sensitivity.

2) Rubbing of acidic food , baking soda etc can wear off the enamel.

3) Drinking Aerated drinks on regular basis.

4) Conditions like hard clenching or bruxism

My teeth are not in one, if I do the leveling of teeth operation is it good after operation, is it no problem.

Pls visit any orthodontist for your problem. He will be the right person to give opinion in your case. Mild malalignment can be corrected by proper smile designing. But if you have gross problem lot of things need to be considered. Proper diagnostic xrays and models of your mouth needs to be made.

Poor oral hygiene, gum or periodontal diseases, dry mouth, smoking, and tobacco use are some contributing factors for bad breath medically known as Halitosis. You should: 1.) Brush twice daily with Colgate Total Action toothpaste, use tongue cleaner, and change brush every 3 months. 2.) Use dental floss regularly. 3.) Keep the mouth moist by regularly drinking water, or keeping non-sugar edible item in mouth to keep the saliva flowing. 4.) Avoid smoking and tobacco. 5.) Use Listerine mouthwash twice daily. 6.) Avoid food causing bad smell. Eg- Garlic, onions. 7.) Visit a dentist for oral cavity evaluation and get scaling polishing done.

Are braces recommended for a 26 year old. Wouldn't braces loosen my teeth at this age and make recovery difficult.

Are braces recommended for a 26 year old. Wouldn't braces loosen my teeth at this age and make recovery difficult.
Any force exerted on tooth makes it mobile. U want to move your tooth. If its immobile, no use of braces. So with controlled force on teeth exerted by orthodontist helps to fix your teeth in new position. 26 is perfect age. Go ahead.

I have a problem of bruxism.
Every time when I wake up in the morning it's very painful in my jaw.
Can it be because ...
Bruxism is the medical term for grinding the teeth and clenching the jaw. People sometimes grind their teeth without it causing any symptoms or problems. But regular, persistent teeth grinding can cause jaw pain and discomfort and wear down your teeth. It can also cause headaches and earache. Although teeth grinding can be caused by stress and anxiety, it often occurs during sleep and is more likely caused by an abnormal bite or missing or crooked teeth. It can also be caused by a sleep disorder such as sleep apnea. reatments for bruxism designed to reduce symptoms or get rid of teeth grinding altogether include: Reducing stress. Drinking more water. Getting more sleep. Not chewing gum or on other objects. Consciously relaxing the face and jaw throughout the day. Buying a teeth grinding mouth guard.

The pain may be due to the reason that the cavity is near to close the pulp or nerve of the tooth, see the dentist again as that tooth may need a root canal filling.

Limit acidic drinks like soft drinks, cordials and fruit juices. Food acids soften tooth material and dissolve the minerals in tooth enamel, causing holes (cavities or caries). In severe cases, teeth may be ?eaten? right down to the gum.
