No need to get teeth replaced. Visit nearby dentist. If cavities are not deep then the problem can be solved with just filling of cavities with tooth colored composite materials in both adjacent teeth mostly.

Pain is due to hyperactivity of muscles of jaw. Please check from your family members whether you grind your teeth in night? you should visit dentists. Treatments would range from psychological counselling to oral appliance wearing to relieve muscles, exercise of jaws, joints and holding warm towel over muscles. Please consult nearby dentist for same.

DENTAL SEALANTS:

While religiously brushing and flossing your teeth will keep your mouth healthy and plaque free, a supplemental method is fast emerging as one of the most favoured choice of dentists to aid in this endeavour. It involves placement of Dental Sealants onto your tooth structure.

Dental Sealants to Prevent Plaque and Teeth Decay(1)

What is a Dental Sealant?

A dental sealant is a plastic coating that is applied on the enamel of the back teeth, where you are most likely to suffer from teeth decay.

The dental sealant is placed into the grooves and pits of a tooth, removing the unevenness of the tooth surface and thus helping the toothbrush to reach extreme corners and places that it previously wasn't able to reach. The increased accessibility to the fissures in the dental structure also eliminates the need for any remedial drilling procedures. Sealants are strong enough to endure the standard pressure that comes from chewing.

Dental Sealants vs Cavity Fillings

Dental Sealants are not an alternative to cavity treatments and fillings. The basic difference between the two can be understood by the classification of Dental Sealants as a preventive measure and Cavity Fillings as a remedial or treatment measure.

How does it help prevent plaque and Teeth decay?

A dental sealant acts as a protective plastic coating over the tooth, which averts the decay and protects your teeth from germs. As long as the sealant remains undamaged, your teeth remain protected from the acids and plaque that emanate from the food and beverages you consume in a day.

Tooth decays can get extremely painful, if not lethal and if there are easier ways to avert the situation, why deal with the pain in the first place. Dental sealants also serve to prevent caries from taking root in your teeth.

After fitting, the sealants remain intact for a few years years, after which you may consult your doctor to get another coat of sealant applied.
