Kese pata chalega ki mujhe brain tumor hai ya without ct scan nahi please help me.
Why are you suspecting brain tumour? If you have persistent headaches, giddiness, history of seizures or altered vision/ hearing/ speech etc. MRI of brain is best to rule out brain tumour if you have any of the above symptoms.

My mom (age 58) is facing breast cancer from last month. The breast cancer tumor operation is success. Now as per Doctor suggested need to chemo (6) therapy. But she is facing Diabetes and HBaS positive. So please advice how to reduce pain to her? Can I go for Ayurvedic treatment or start with chemotherapy? Your advice is important for me. Thanks in advance.

Oncologist, Navi Mumbai
Please follow the treatment as advised by your oncologist. Your doctor can manage or modify chemotherapy as per her diabetes or Hepatitis etc. Ayurvedic treatment can not replace chemotherapy. So please don’t skip chemotherapy. Please discuss all issues with your oncologist.

She will receive at least 6 cycles of chemotherapy after which surgery should be done. Depending on the gusto pathology report she may also require radiotherapy. No one guarantee that cancer will not recur but following proper treatment can significantly reduce chances of recurrence. So please complete planned treatment.

Hi Sir, Please advise how one can know that cancer is being developed in a body because most of the times symptoms appear much later. Is there any test thorough which it can be known that cancer is being developed in body somewhere.

MD - Radiotherapy, MBBS Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery
Oncologist, Navi Mumbai
Watch for symptoms like unexplained weight loss, loss of appetite, blood in stools/ urine, cough for more than 3-4 weeks and unexplained pain or swelling in body, dribbling micturition. At your age please do serum PSA levels to rule out Prostate cancer. Get yourself examined by a good Oncologist if you have any of above symptoms.

Please get yourself examined thoroughly by a good doctor. Smoking does increase the risk of cancer but every swelling is not cancer. So please visit your doctor.

I am 66 years old . Suffered Ca cervix in 2001. Took cobalt therapy in 2001. Now Ct scan shows metastasis in endometrial and inguinal lymph nodes. Chemotherapy suggested 1st cycle complete. Suggest how many cycles .weather radiation will also be required.

MD - Radiothrapy
Oncologist, Mumbai
Chemotherapy is the treatment of choice. If there is good response to chemotherapy and there is limited local and regional disease after chemotherapy then reirradation should be considered.

Sepsis is one of the common complications of chemotherapy as blood counts are reduced due to chemotherapy which reduces body's ability to fight any infection. So don't worry sepsis can be managed by course of IV antibiotics. Sometimes systemic infection can cause complications and requires ICU care. So don't worry trust and talk to your treating physician about this.
