You can reduce your tooth height without braces with cap. It takes approx 1 week. Though not advisable much. Go for braces if possible.

Hello Doctor, I got my dental surgery done yesterday where my wisdom tooth was removed after surgery. How long would it take for these stitches to dry. I also have issues with jaw movement as it starts giving pain. What would recommend me to do during this period. What can I eat during this period. Thank you.

Hello lybrate-user, pain and discomfort after surgical removal of wisdom tooth is a common finding. Normally the pain & swelling start subsiding after 48 hrs. However complete healing may take 7-10 days. Sutures if non-resorbable are removed after 5-7 days. Take soft semi-solid diet for the time being. Take your medicines as prescribed. Take good care of your oral hygiene by regular brushing & rinsing. Hope this helps, get well soon.

Hi lybrate-user your post suggest that you are suffering from hemifacial hypertrophy. In this condition half of the face keeps growing and the other half doesn't. Eventually you have asymmetric face and dentition. The diagnosis needs to be confirmed for which You need to consult an Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon who would advise you some tests and x-rays for proper diagnosis and treatment plan. Hope this helps.

You need to visit a dentist for filling of cavity or root canal treatment. Painkillers are not going to be of help for a long time.

H pylori infection is life threatening so first you get treatment for the same. Once infection is over you can feel less bad breath problem if not having any tobacco related habit. For the time being you can get a professional cleaning and mouthwash to diminish bad breath problem. THANK YOU.

Hi lybrate-user, a mouth ulcers is a painful sore inside the mouth, on the tongue, soft palate (the back portion of the roof of your mouth), or inside the cheeks. Sores in your mouth are round, white, or grey in color, with a red edge or border. The condition is usually becomes okay withing 7 days. But if it persists beyond that, or if multiple ulcers keep re-appearing, medical advice must be taken. In severe mouth ulcer attacks, you may also experience fever and physical sluggishness. Taking vitamin b12 supplements along with a suitable gel for pain is the best remedy.

I had white patch on inner cheek. I did got biopsy done and the result says" serial section studied show straight epithelium hyperkeratosis, acanthosis and mild dysplasia with the subepithelial stroma inflammatory cell infiltrate. What is best treatment and suggestion please including medication. Is surgery is the only way. I am a smoker and tobacco user.

MS - General Surgery, MCh - Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery
Cosmetic/Plastic Surgeon, Jaipur
As per your biopsy report White Patch on inner cheek should be Leukoplakia. If you have difficulty in opening the mouth also then you may also have submucous fibrosis. Treatment for Leukoplakia is 1. Plastic surgery and 2. Stop smoking and tobacco use immediately.
