You are very young right now and if you are lean this means that your metabolism is working just in the right way. Many a times lean look could also be due to genetics. Exercise regularly at least for 1 hour every day. Include heavy breakfast in your diet. For further clarification, consult dietitians through Lybrate.

Dear lybrate-user. Stop wearing tight clothes (Jeans) as it leads to more and more sweating and increases the chances of fungal infection. Wear Loose clothes. Avoid steroids as they will be harmful in the long run. Avoid hot and humid climate. Please visit a Dermatologist for confirmation and adequate treatment. Apply cream at the borders, as the basic principle in fungal infection treatment is to stop its spread.

Obesity The best way to avoid these health problems is to maintain a healthy weight. And the keys to healthy weight are regular exercise and good eating habits. To stay active, try to exercise 30 to 60 minutes every day. Your exercise doesn’t have to be hard. Walking, swimming, and stretching are all good ways to burn calories and can help you stay fit. Try these activities to get moving: Go outside for a walk. Take the stairs instead of the elevator. Walk or bike to places (such as school or a friend’s house) instead of driving. If you have to drive somewhere, park farther away than you need to and walk the extra distance. Tackle those household chores, such as vacuuming, washing the car, or cleaning the bathroom – they all burn calories. Alternate activities so you don’t get bored: Try running, biking, skating. Limit your time watching TV or playing video games; even reading a book burns more energy. Go dancing — it can burn more than 300 calories an hour! Eating well doesn’t mean dieting over and over again to lose a few pounds. Instead, try to make healthy choices every day. Take 3 cup green tea daily (jasmine flavour). Have diet rich in fruits vegetable salads & multigrain aata roti avoid rice, deserts, and fried stuffed. Drink 2-3 liters water in a day.

Hi, you should go for brisk walk in the morning and evening. Do regular exercise atleast 20 minutes. Take lukewarm water with lemon in the morning. You should do abdominal exercise. Don't take rice at night and don't skip breakfast.

Being a dietitian my views: there is no single diet chart for everyone. To plan a specific diet we do collect lot of information like height, weight, food frequency, digestive history, medical history, likes, dislike, lifestyle, eating habits. Remember one thing to follow a diet it should be personalized according to person's body type and not generalized. Starting with there is no pills or powder or shake which can help you to lose weight in a healthy way. To lose weight eat an hour within walking up and dinner at least 2 hours before you sleep. Avoiding eating anything after dinner. Breakfast should be your king size have good complex carbohydrates and protein rich. Eat every 2 hours small frequent meal do help in weight loss. And do not overeat. One can come to ideal body weight with few lifestyle modification. Have green tea only 2 cups a day. For exercise I would say diet plays 80 % role and exercise plays 20 % role in losing weight. Personal advise on gym. You should not make your body habituated with machines rather do simple walk or surya namaskar or planks. So only with healthy eating one can lose weight.

Sir, My wife aged 68 yrs heavy weight 82 kg. Suffering with hypothyroidism , insulin dependent diabetes suffers with severe osteoarthritis both knee joints for a long time. No relief with Rustox 1m taken for about 20 days . Please suggest some other medicine. Dr.Jitendra Srivastava
