Hello, Include the following for getting better vision: Vitamins A, C, E, and minerals like copper and zinc are essential to eyesight. Get the antioxidants from dark leafy greens, egg yolks, yellow peppers, pumpkin, sweet potatoes, and carrots. Include garlic, onions and capers. Blueberries, grapes, and goji berries have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that can help improve your vision. DHA is a fatty acid found in coldwater fish like wild salmon, sardines, mackerel, and cod. Exercises for eyes: Warm your eyes. Rub your palms together to create heat, and then place them against your eyes for five seconds. Repeat this three times. Roll your eyes. Start by looking up and then slowly circle 10 times clockwise and 10 times counterclockwise. Focus. Hold a pen at arm's length, focus your eyes on it, and slowly bring the pen closer until it's about 6 inches away from your nose. Then slowly move it back, keeping your eyes focused on the pen, 10 times in all. Massage your temples. Using your thumb knuckles, massage your temples in small circles, 20 times in one direction and 20 in the other. Repeat the same actions above the mid-point of the eyebrows at the forehead, then below the eyes on both sides of the bridge of the nose. Take a mini-nap. Put your head back, close your eyes, and relax for 3 minutes. Insufficient sleep may weaken your vision, so shoot for 8 hours of sound sleep a night. Rest your eyes 10 minutes for every 50 minutes spent reading or in front of the computer. If your eyes feel overly tired, lie down and place cooling cucumber slices over your eyelids. Medication: Take homoeopathic medicine which will help you in preventing rather reducing the power of your eyes. Take Physostigma 6/ thrice daily for 1 month. Thereafter, revert back for further guidance.

Sir I have hypermetropia. Right eye 6/9 n left eye 6/36. Please suggest me remedies and medicine.

Sir I have hypermetropia. Right eye 6/9 n left eye 6/36. Please suggest me remedies and medicine.
You should first consult ophthmologist for refraction & if it does not improve with glass, you are having amblyopia also known as lazy eye. Diminition of vision without any pathology is known as amblyopia & in common language called lazy eye. Amblyopic eye can only be treated upto 10 years with the help of occlusion &,pleoptic treatment which is not available every where, you will have consult eye hospital with well equipped orthopedics & pleoptic department with well trained paramedical staff. Parents  with amblyopic child will have to search such hospital .I have experience of minimum 2000 children getting 6/6 or 6/9 from less than 6/60 vision but diagnosis of amblyopia before 10 years is must because there is not much improvement even after dedicated pleoptic for 2-3 months. Lazy eye ultimately to divergent squint because it takes anatomical position, our eyes are straight because vision keeps eye straight. Eyes with no Vision or very less vision will always lead to divergent squint, so eyes with divergent squint even after squint surgery again results into divergent squint. Most important point to note here is if amblyopic child vision is restored normal with the help of pleoptic treatment & the operated for Squint surgery it will remain straight & have binocular single Vision through out life & child will never face the problem of divergent squint again in life.

Dear lybrate-user, polarised sunglasses can be used by anyone. In fact, I advice everyone to use Polaroid (though slightly more expensive) since they offer best sun protection! But I don't advice contact lens for you though. People with diabetes better avoid contact lenses ,as the risk of corneal infection will be high. Change your spects only after good control of blood sugar and try to maintain it at normal levels. Lastly, don't forget to get your retina checked up every year to rule out diabetic retinopathy.

I have red eyes and pain over last 6 Days. What should I do? Give suggestion to remove reddish in eyes?

I have red eyes and pain over last 6 Days. What should I do? Give suggestion to remove reddish in eyes?
Hello, Bloodshot eyes appear red because the vessels at the surface of the white portion of the eye become swollen. Vessels may swell due to: Eye dryness Too much sun exposure Dust or other particles in the eye Allergies Infection Injury Eye infections or inflammation can cause redness as well as possible itching, discharge, pain, or vision problems. Other causes of eye redness include Colds or allergies, Acute glaucoma, Corneal scratches: Injuries caused by sand, dust, or overuse of contact lenses. Sometimes, a bright red spot, called a subconjunctival hemorrhage, will appear on the white of the eye. This often happens after straining or coughing, which causes a broken blood vessel on the surface of the eye. Most often, there is no pain and your vision is normal. It is almost never a serious problem. Because the blood leaks into the conjunctiva, which is clear, you cannot wipe or rinse the blood away. Like a bruise, the red spot will go away within a week or two. Management: - Try to rest your eyes if redness is due to fatigue or eye strain. No other treatment is needed. - Wash your hands, hold clean water in your hand, keep your eyes closer to the water and dip the eyes by blinking the eyelids frequently in the held water in hand. Repeat it for 3-4 times again. - Avoid watching T. V. Working on computer or mobile, reading or frequently keep blinking your eyes to avoid dryness. Take frequent breaks in between. - In case there is itching, use a clean napkin or a tissue to wipe the tears and cleaning the eyelids gently. -Wear an UV-rays protected sunglasses while you are out in sun. Medication: Take homoeopathic medicines - Schwabe’s Belladonna 30 and Euphrasia 30 - both thrice daily for 4 days. Use Euphrasia Eye drops twice daily. Revert back thereafter.

I have keratoconus in my both eyes, I did my C3R 3 years back. But still my disease is progressing. What should I do now? Should I go for holcomb C3R being done by Dr. Brian Boxer Wachler in USA?

I have keratoconus in my both eyes, I did my C3R 3 years back. But still my disease is progressing.
What should I do ...
Keratoconus is a slow, progressive eye disease in which the normally round, dome shaped cornea (the clear outer front portion of the eye) thins and begins to bulge into a cone-like shape. This cone shape is irregular, bending light as it enters the eye.Cornea Collagen Crosslinking appears to represent one of the most important advances in ophthalmology in the last decade. The laboratory and clinical studies indicate a safe, effective, and elegant treatment for keratoconus. and you can definitely do it and will hlep
