Does Stopping masturbation completely restore the penile health once again and does it ensure I am not gonna get prostate cancer in future. Can masturbation cause prostate cancer.

Does Stopping masturbation completely restore the penile health once again and does it ensure I am not gonna get pros...
Good question Mr. Lybrate-user and my answer is not only for you but all the listners in your age following me as well my answers. I have answered time and again that masturbation may be done at intervals of 35 days or more than 35 days to prevent any adverse effects on the body----------------------------i found in my research works that------------- 1. If you do not masturbate at all, it takes 35 days to have significant improvement in your penis. What happens is after 35 days of avoiding masturbation, your penis gets a sudden boost of health. That is it become more meaty, more healthy and haves slightly bigger erection. In fact this is a really pleasant surprise in the way of recovery. The way you feel this is when you press penis between your finger, you will notice it has become a lot meaty.(fleshy) ------------but it is not the case when you masturbate for years together for 4-5 times a week, where you will find that when you squeeze your penis between to finger, your two finger will almost touch each other. This basically means you penis has lost all it meat or healthy. This can recover in steps of 35 days of total masturbation prohibition--------------- 2. Excercise is the biggest boost you can give yourself beside quiting masturbtion. In fact excercise, esp running helps so much if you continue daily running, the 35 day period is pushed as early as 27 days. So exercise is one thing that can help you a lot. No medicine, no money needed, just work out.--------------------- 3. The problem of excessive masturbation is caused by thinking about sex all the time. You have to stop thinking about it all the time. I am not saying do not think but do not make yourself prone to it. The less you think about it, the more you will think healthy, you memory power in increase, you will begin to seek company, make friend and you will be on path of recovery.---------- 4. Marriage is possibly the best cure to excessive masturbation, provided your love the person you were about to get married. Do not get married if you do not love the person or you cannot be committed to that person.---------------------------------- so, in nutshell, one can reverse the harmful effects of excessive masturbation on penile health provided he is determined to do so and my above steps will guide you surely in this direction--------------------------------------------------------- now, coming towards second part of your question, that whether stopping masturbation decrease the chance of prostrate cancer or can masturbation cause prostrate cancer------------------- actually more research is needed to determine the exact role of sex hormones and sexual activity in prostate-cancer risk at different stages of life---------studies show that frequent masturbation in young men is linked to higher risk of early prostate cancer, but it lowers prostate cancer risk for men in their 50s------------high levels of male sex hormones, or androgens, may increase a man's risk of prostate cancer. In young age, more masturbation may just mean more sex drive -- and more androgens bathing prostate tissues. Thus increasing the risk of prostrate cancer----------------- in older men, masturbation itself may actually be helpful, ridding the prostate gland of fluids that may contain cancer-causing substances.-------------in older age (age 50 or above) it is more important that toxins be flushed out of the system and because the masturbation frequency was not as high in the men's 50s as it was in their 20s, even low levels of masturbation in the 50s has a protective effect.---------------------------------

I am 64 years old. I am having diabetes and also spondylitis. Does slow walking really reduces Sugar?

Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)

I am 64 years old. I am having diabetes and also spondylitis. Does slow walking really reduces Sugar?
It's not about walking slow or brisk. Brisk walking is necessary to reduce weight and also to keep sugar levels under control. But it is also important to walk according to your age and energy. Walking accordingly can serve the purpose and walking more than your strength can result in complications. So decide the pace of your walk according to your age and energy. Meanwhile bring changes in your diet, follow home remedies to maintain your blood sugar level.

Hello doctors, I am 25 year old male. I am wearing glasses since 9 years . I have miopia -4.5 spherical both eyes. I am planning for laser operation please suggest according my powee , will it be fine to go for laser treatment. And also what is the risk ?

Post Graduate Diploma in Ophthalmology, MBBS
Ophthalmologist, Chennai
Before going for laser your power should be stable for one year or your power should be the same in two consecutive visits when checked 6months apart. So that power will not change after laser. You can avoid glasses upto your 40th year .After 40th year because of age and cataract changes you may have to use glasses. After laser you will have normal vision with both eyes opened(binocular)as healing process may be different for both the eyes. After laser there may be dryness changes for which you will be prescribed with lubricant eye drops for a certain depending on the severity of your symptoms.Very rarely some people may have halos and night glare. And in some people infections ,thinning and bulging of cornea very rarely.Your retina should be checked for any breaks and holes and treated appropriately before going laser.

Piles and homoeopathy
Piles (haemorrhoids) are swollen and inflamed blood vessels (veins) in the rectum and anus. Piles are broadly classified as follows:
External: piles that are outside the anal verge
Internal: piles that occur inside the rectum
Causes of piles-
These include the following:
Genetic predisposition (weak rectal veins, walls)
Poor muscle tone in the rectal region
Constipation
Obesity
Sedentary lifestyle
Chronic cough
Pregnancy
Overuse of laxatives or enemas
Lifting heavy weights habitually

Symptoms of piles:
Symptoms vary depending upon the site of piles, duration of complaints and general health of the person.
External piles present as a swelling outside the anus with irritation and itching. These can be painful sometimes and usually do not bleed.
Internal piles are usually not painful but these bleed when they are irritated such as during the passage of hard stools. They can be classified into four grades:
Grade 1 piles are small swellings on the inside lining of the anus. They cannot be seen or felt from outside the anus.
Grade 2 piles are partly pushed out (prolapse) from the anus when you go to the toilet, but quickly'retract back' inside again.
Grade 3 piles hang out (prolapse) from the anus and are felt as one or more small, soft lumps that hang from the anus. However, they can be pushed back inside the anus with a finger.
Grade 4 piles permanently hang down from within the anus, and cannot be pushed back inside. They can sometimes become quite large.
Some of the other symptoms generally associated with piles are:
Protrusion of piles outside the anus; this usually occurs after defecation, prolonged standing or unusual physical exertion

Bleeding from the anus: this can occur before, during or after stools. This will be bright red blood, not usually mixed with the stools, but often seen on the toilet paper.
Soreness, pain, itching in the anal region
In case of profuse bleeding that is chronic, the patient may be anemic
Sensation of something coming down, or a bulge or lump at the anus
If the piles outside the anus develop a blood clot inside, (thrombosed piles) it leads to a particularly tender, hard lump
Homoeopathic piles treatment:-
Homeopathic medicines are very effective in management of piles and the symptoms associated with it such as pain, bleeding, itching, etc. The point to be emphasized is that the relief of symptoms is obtained with absolute gentleness and without invasion or surgery of any kind. Moreover, the condition has high relapse rate following surgical treatment, since surgery does not target the root causes like genetic tendencies, habitual constipation, etc. Homeopathic medicines work at the root level and can modify these genetic tendencies thus reducing chances of relapse and recurrence of the condition significantly.

Cholinergic Urticaria is a medical term used to describe a subcategory of physical urticaria (hives). It is characterized by a hypersensitive response in the skin as a result of the body increasing in temperature (passively or actively), or the precipitating release of sweat. Individuals with this physical heat hives condition often ask, “Why do I itch when I get hot or exercise?” This is the most common symptom experienced by sufferers. Individuals may experience a cholinergic urticaria reaction in response to any activity that increases overall body temperature (or causes a sweat release). Some examples include the following: Taking a hot shower or bath Eating spicy foods Exercising or doing physical activities that increase body temperature Stress or anxiety Emotional responses (sadness, anxiety, anger, laughter) Transitioning from a cool environment to a hotter environment without allowing the body time to slowly acclimate to the temperature difference (such as walking from a cold room to a hot room). Cholinergic Urticaria Treatments There is no cure for Cholinergic urticaria, and treatment options are often limited. Some common treatments include taking antihistamines (such a Allegra, Zyrtec, or stronger ones), avoiding known triggers (such as hot weather, physical activity, and spicy foods), corticosteroids (only for extreme cases), anabolic steroids, UVB therapy, sweat/exercise therapy, diet changes (such as avoiding known trigger foods), and more. To view a more comprehensive list, visit our cholinergic urticaria treatment page. Cholinergic urticaria often changes, much like season allergies or other allergic conditions. Individuals may experience periods of heightened sensitivity, as well as periods of almost no reactions or very low sensitivity. This can sometimes be affected by seasonal weather, as well as other unknown factors. This condition may last for months, years, or may even go away and come back sporadically throughout one’s live. In one study, the average duration was approximately 7 years, although some people had this condition (on and off) for up to 30 years. Even though this condition may be long-lasting and highly variable, individuals suffering with this can often find treatment regimens that enable them to live a relatively high quality of life and go on to work, go to school, and engage in other activities. This is not considered a terminal disease, and it is not known to shorten life span, cause early death, or any other immediate dangers. The only exception is that in rare cases, people with a severe case of cholinergic urticaria may experience anaphylactic shock (severe swelling), which could be life threatening. This is very rare, and if this happens, please call a doctor or hospital immediately.

A penis length of 3 inches or more is considered normal and adequate for having a satisfying sexual intercourse. Length of penis varies from person to person depending upon heredity, age, sexual maturation, anxiety, fear, hormonal levels etc. If you feel your penis length is below normal as mentioned above you should consult an endocrinologist.

I am 31 year old male. When I was 14 year old, I met with an accident in which my spleen, large intestine, pancreas and column connecting lung were ruptured. I was operated upon post which I developed problem of flatulence. The problem aggravated slowly slowly. For the last 8-9 years, I have to go twice to clear my stomach in the morning and some times during evening. During the day time I pass gas at least 20-25 times. I took ranitidine, then omeprazole. But the stomach clearing issue is not solved. My ultrasounds were alright. I do not have diabetes or any other disease. I used to smoke, which I have stopped recently and I drink alcohol occasionally. Few years back I had external growth outside anus, which varies its size (i have to press it inside after the stool, but it does not pain). It protrudes during stool and I can put it inside with finger. Rarely it beds also. My stool is semi solid with scattered small lumps. I have spoken to various doctors (not specialists) and got few medicines which did not make the problem go permanently. I do not eat spicy food and in case the food is spicy, my chest starts burning. The gas I pass are majority odourless while stool is not (neither too pungent). I have tried Kayam churna, Jhandu Pancharisht, but no success. I am more troubled by the morning schedule and what I perceive is due to gas. Many a times I have to move out for work early, then it becomes very difficult for me. I also take around 15-20 minutes in first time and 5-7 minutes second time. I have got my stool culture done, as advice by specialist. Nothing has come in the report. I do not have any abdominal pain. Only discomfort is there when gas is formed. Also the fissure is not painful. It is a very small external growth which causes discomfort in sitting if not pushed inside. According to me the main issue is gastritis which makes me go to the toilet again and mostly it is air which passes along with small portion of stool and then I am relieved, but after some time I feel that I have gas in the stomach.
