Hi I was about 58 kgs (height of 160 Cm) until I started yoga in March. I have gained about 3 kgs ever since I started Yoga which is weird given that my eating habits have not changed. I am puzzled that rather than weight reduction or at least being constant why is weight increasing? Could you please let me know what could be the reason for this gain?

He has to avoid fatty and spices food and skip lunch with mild breakfast and dinner take warm water with lemon and honey 2 glass daily empty stomach walk for at least 4-5 km daily with mild exercise and diet control avoid non veg and fast food do exercise and take plenty of water and papaya every day But as per height weight is almost ok.

First you should follow low calories food for weight loss. * in morning, take 1-2 chapattis with a bowl of cooked green vegetables. You can take a glass of lemon water with it *in lunch you can take a bowl of raw vegetables like carrot, radish, tomatoes, turnip or beetroot. *in evening, you can take a cup of green tea only with some pieces of friuts like apple, pineapple, pear. Avoid taking banana or mango. *in dinner, you can take vegetable soup or a bowl of cooked vegetables. But do not take potato, sweet potatoes. * you can take a cup skimmed milk 4 times a week only during day time. * work out for atleast 1 hour in morning, you can try skipping for 15minutes with a walk of 30 minutes and 5-10 minutes running. Follow these exercises in the morning - * lie down on flat surface, raise your legs without bending your knees, do it for 3-5 times daily * do not eat fastfoods and soft drinks, as they have high calories and the calories deposit in body in the form of weight if not utilised. * you can take medohar guggalu 1 tablet daily for quick weight loss but only under the guidance of ayurveda expert. I have very serious habit of over thinking. Although I know a thing I have done is perfect yet I think negatively on it constantly and grow a thought that I have done it incorrectly. And I think I am in depression because of it. I feel my head heavy. I cannot concentrate on my regular work. I feel alone and constantly think negative on only one think. Dear lybrate-user, Don't worry, it's not matter of over thinking, its features of perfection. Be practical and learning an task or job is an Continues process. Plan your work and proceed. Learn from the experience (failure). Be with the friends and family. Try thought stopping techniques and ignore bad events.

Dear madam controlling urine will lead to several problems. Don't control urine when there is an urge. Take sufficient water.

I' am 25 year old male. I' m consuming lonazep tablets-0. 5 mg for depression for past two months. Now i' m feeling better and thus I have tappered the dosage to 0. 25 mg. Is it safer to consume this tablet for longer course like 3 months.

Lonazep is not a antidepressant. It can only control your anxiety temporarily like paracetamol for fever as long as your are taking the medicine you are better. You can get addicted to it. You need to be on antidepressant. Contact a psychiatrist

I have very serious pain in the knee joint. Joint not moving properly. What should I have to do?
I understand you must be suffering from severe pain. Knee joint is very complex joint made by 3 bones - femur, tibia, fibula and knee cap - patella. Several ligaments, cartilage and menisci are covered all around. So pain in knee joint may be due to several reasons and sometimes it is very severe. It may be due to some internal injury like cartilage etc or may be due to deficiency of calcium, vit d or uric acid. So in general I would advise you to please go for proper investigation so that the reason can be diagnosed. In the mean time to get relief from pain and stiffness please follow the physio measures: precautions- 1. Avoid prolong standing. Standing on one leg or running for time being if its painful. 2. Take care while bending your knees, it should not directly strain your joint. 3. Avoid heavy weight lifting. 4. Wear shoes with good arch support, do not wear high -healed shoes. 5. Use the correct positions during activities so that you do not strain your muscles. 6. Try to change your sitting position every 15 min so that it should not give strain on your knees. 7. Avoid sitting on floor with both knees bending. 8. Take diet rich in calcium like milk, dairy products, banana etc which will enhance your calcium and gives you strength. Treatment - 1. Use of cold or hot packs which ever suits you - apply ice or hot pack to the painful area and massage for near about 10 minutes. Make a habit for doing atleast twice a day initially. 2. After this using your thumb massage your knee area gently. 3. Do some knee (quads) isometrics atleast 10-15 times with the hold of 5 -10 seconds. Also you can do some knee strengthening in the mean time. The above treatment will give pain relief and discomfort. In the meantime please contact any physio who will study your daily routine, symptoms, degree of pain etc and accordingly will give you the best treatment plan. Good luck and get well soon.

Hypothyroidism may lead to PCOD and as of now I will suggest you to do suryanamaskar daily as per your capacity for a minimum of six months and involve your self in some kind of activity
