Sometimes I really feel down and cant get the motivations n to get up and do something. Then when I'm pushed, I react violently and aggressively. But other times, when I'm not under pressure, life is smooth! What should I do with these episodes?

Hypnotherapist, DCS, BSIC, Advanced Trainee of Transactional Analysis, Advanced Skills in Counselling
Psychologist,
Your aggression in hiding emotions like fear, embarrassment, sadness etc which men can't express in our society openly. In some societies it is acceptable to express aggression rather than weakness. This becomes very pressurising for men especially because our menfolk get implied messages to be strong at all times. You need to realise your limitations too as everyone has limitations including men. Yet, there will be times that you will face challenges which will be beyond your capacities. How can you remain calm, peaceful and in charge of your temper is an art by itself. 1. Learning to say "no" is a big art. Do this assertively and without getting angry. Know and accept your limitations. Share it with others. Help them in a way that is possible for you without stressing yourself. 2. Preempt and prepare yourself for upcoming demands. Knowing the pulse of your family and boss can help you feeling prepared for demands on you. 3. Sharpening your skills of planning, organising, time management. These will help you to feel more in control of yourself and your time. 4. Take out time for yourself. When you are busy taking care of others needs, you need to take care of your own body and mind. Relax, relax, relax.Do what you like in this time. Pamper yourself. You deserve it. Also remember that showing aggression and violence is an anti social behaviour. It separates people emotionally even though they live with you. Learn to respect yourself and them too. A counsellor will be able to help you learn skills of effective communication so that you don't feel too pressurised.

She does Most of the daily routine work well. But giddiness is bothering. Any particular reason? Or just an Age factor?

Giddiness can be due to vertigo or ischemia to the brain and breathless ness could be due to weakness. I will advise her to start with tablet folvite once a day for a year and for giddiness take vertin tablet 8 mg twice a day.

Hi, I have a problem of my face beauty? Which face wash should I use please suggest.

Hi, I have a problem of my face beauty? Which face wash should I use please suggest.
Use a salicylic acid/ glycolic acid based face wash. Get your comedones extracted regularly. Use a water based moisturizer, even oily skin needs hydration. Scrub your face two times in week. Use a mud mask weekly. Take salicylic acid or glycolic acid peels every fifteen days or month to improve skin texture, control acne and reduce scars and marks. Take a well balanced nutritious diet and exercise daily. Avoid face massages or application of greasy cosmetics and oils.

Hello lybrater user normal range of platelet is 150000 to 450000 so if they are 300000 it is normal. If you r having weakness it is may be due to other reasons like not eating properly, excessive stress, low water intakr so please find it out. Do not worry abt platelets.

You need to take action on the advice and suggestions given to you on this forum and your local doctor. Writing the same question again and again will only give you temporary relief from anxiety. For long term relief you will need to take some different kind of action. To me, you are not looking ready to make changes yet. This is your choice and decision.

I am 67 years old and was working after retirement also till a few months ago. Immediately after retirement I started feeling some sort of anxiety and depression for which I consulted a psychologist who suggested to do blood test and after that prescribed thyronorm50 tablet for sometime and some sleeping tablets since I was having sleep disturbance also at that time. Since there was no relief after 3 months ,I contacted him again and he referred me to a psychiatrist who prescribed Nitravet 10 and Symbal20 which I started taking and the things improved and as per the Doctors advice I withdrew it slowly. For next 6 months I was O.K but again started having the same symptoms. So I consulted the Doctor who advised me to start taking the medicine again which I did. This process is going on for the last 7 years and kindly advise me a permanent solution for withdrawing the medicines and live a normal life. I was having sleep disorders and I am continuing it for the last 7 years eventhough in between we stopped the other medicine except Thyronorm which is now increased to 75 mg after seeing the 6 monthly blood tests. Kindly advice.

The psychologist who prescribed medications is a quack, he has no business prescribing thyronorm and sleeping bills, report him to the authorities. You might be having chronic depression, follow your psychiatrist advise, and if needed meet a clinical psychologist with rci (rehabilitation council of india) registration for counselling.
