I am 9 weeks 3 days pregnant, heartbeats are not visible in the sonography. What should i do?

PGDD, RD, Bachelor of Home Science

I am 9 weeks 3 days pregnant, heartbeats are not visible in the sonography. What should i do?
Hi. You can start to hear the foetal heartbeats at 6 to 8 weeks. If you could not hear the heartbeats it's possible there is a reason and if your doctor is not worried then you don't need to panic. If you sometimes cannot hear the heartbeats there are few reasons. If you have a tilted uterus, you may have a harder time hearing your baby's heartbeat at first. This is because a Doppler is directional, so when your doctor aims it where the uterus would typically be, yours is placed slightly differently. This is not a problem, just a difference. At this stage of pregnancy, your baby is very small. The Doppler needs to hit the baby in just the right way to catch the heartbeat. If you are overweight, sometimes the padding between baby and the Doppler is significant enough to cause it to be harder to hear the baby. Typically this can be overcome by using a transvaginal ultrasound if you or your doctor are worried about the baby.

Yes. Abdominal bloating is a common complain associated with menstruation. Around the time of menstruation, the level of female hormones in the body fluctuates. Oestrogen is one such hormone which also causes water retention. This gives rise to the feeling of heaviness/ bloating.

You have lo repeat your test after six months any how you washed your hand after twenty min then there is no chance of transmission from your hand as hiv virus changes its code very fast soon after coming in contact with air.

Dengue - Symptoms And Prevention!

MD - Microbiology, House Job Certificate ( SKIN & STD) , MBBS
General Physician, Gurgaon
Dengue - Symptoms And Prevention!

# Dengue fever is transmitted by the bite of an Aedes mosquito infected with a dengue virus. The mosquito becomes infected when it bites a person with dengue virus in their blood. It can’t be spread directly from one person to another person.

# Symptoms, which usually begin four to six days after infection and last for up to 10 days, may include:

  • Sudden high fever,
  • Severe headaches,
  • Pain behind the eyes,
  • Severe joint and muscle pain,
  • Fatigue,
  • Nausea,
  • Vomiting,
  • Skin rash, which appears two to five days after the onset of fever,
  • Mild bleeding (such a nose bleed, bleeding gums, or easy bruising).

# Diagnosing Dengue Fever
Doctors can diagnose dengue infection with a blood test to check for the virus or antibodies to it. If you become sick after traveling to a tropical area, let your doctor know. This will allow your doctor to evaluate the possibility that your symptoms were caused by a dengue infection.

# Treatment for Dengue Fever
There is no specific medicine to treat dengue infection. If you think you may have dengue fever, you should use pain relievers with acetaminophen and avoid medicines with aspirin, which could worsen bleeding. You should also rest, drink plenty of fluids, and see your doctor. If you start to feel worse in the first 24 hours after your fever goes down, you should get to a hospital immediately to be checked for complications.

10 Reasons To Have Ragi /Nachni As It Is Very Essential!

M.Sc. in Dietetics and Food Service Management , Post Graduate Diploma In Computer Application, P.G.Diploma in Clinical Nutrition & Dietetics , B.Sc.Clinical Nutrition & Dietetics
Dietitian/Nutritionist, Mumbai
10 Reasons To Have Ragi /Nachni As It Is Very Essential!

1. Rich in calcium:

No other cereal comes close to ragi when it comes to calcium content. Calcium is a significant factor when it comes to bone development and prevention of osteoporosis. Replacing calcium pills with a ragi kanji or porridge and including it in the diet of growing children is a good way to reap its benefits. You may also like to know the 9 reasons you should eat calcium rich foods.

2. Helps in weight loss:

The natural fat content in ragi is lower than all other cereals. Also, this fat is in its unsaturated form. Thus, substituting it for wheat and rice is a good choice for people trying to lose weight. It also contains an amino acid called tryptophan which reduces appetite.

3 High fibre content:

As compared to white rice, ragi contains higher amounts of dietary fibre. Due to this, ragi aids digestion, prevents over-eating and makes you feel full for a longer span of time. The amino acids lecithin and methionine help in decreasing the cholesterol levels of your body by getting rid of the excess fat in the liver. On the other hand, threonine hinders the formation of fat in the liver and provides overall reduction of body cholesterol.

4. Regulates blood sugar levels:

The high polyphenol and fibre content has another perk. Diabetic patients can trust ragi to create a restrained build in glucose level. Diets that regularly include ragi have been known to have lower glycemic response. This is mostly down to the inclusion of bran in ragi as the grain is too small to be polished and milled. Know about how whole grains can prevent type 2 diabetes.

5. Battles anemia:

Ragi is an excellent source of natural iron. Patients of anaemia and low haemoglobin levels can begin to include ragi in their diets as a domestic remedy. Vitamin c is known to aid the absorption of iron. Once ragi is allowed to sprout, the vitamin c levels increase and lead to further absorption of iron into the bloodstream. Read more about causes, symptoms, diagnosis and treatment of anemia.

6. Natural relaxant:

The ample amount of amino acids and antioxidants in ragi help the body relax naturally. Common ailments like anxiety, insomnia, headaches and depression can be battled with ragi. The amino acid called tryptophan is a major contributor to the relaxing effects of ragi.

7. Reduces the risk of stroke:

In its early stages of growth, that is, when it is still green, ragi can help prevent high blood pressure. The cholesterol levels in blood can be regulated too, leading to less plaque formation and blockage of vessels. As a result the risk for hypertension and stroke goes down significantly. You make like to read about the 6 lifestyle tips to prevent stroke.

8. Gluten-free:

People with celiac disease or followers of the gluten-free diet can incorporate ragi into their daily consumption as it is completely free of gluten. Not many cereals can boast of this property since gluten is a major nutrient in all cereals.

9 Excellent baby food:

In southern india, where ragi is widely consumed, babies as old as 28 days are fed ragi porridge at their christening. It is believed that ragi promotes better digestion. The high calcium and iron content is useful for the bone growth and overall development of the infant. Specially-processed ragi powders for infants are available widely to be used during weaning.

10. Boosts lactation:

Lactating mothers are urged to include ragi, especially when it is green as it enhances milk handling and imbibes the milk with the essential amino acids, iron and calcium required for the nutrition of the mother as well as the child. The production of milk is also affected positively. Ragi is prescribed to the mothers that wish to increase the quantity of milk produced for their baby. You may want to know the health benefits of whole grains.

Today is 10 th day from my period. I want to be pregnant .can I do sex today. This is good timing for it.

MD Hom., Certificate in Food and Nutrition, BHMS, Diploma In Yoga
Homeopath, Indore
Today is 10 th day from my period. I want to be pregnant .can I do sex today. This is good timing for it.
There is a chance that you can become pregnant when having unprotected sex anytime during your cycle. The time that women are most fertile is in mid-cycle (typically referred to as the 10 days surrounding "day 14" of a 28-day cycle). This means having sex on days 10-19 are fair game for being fertile which is the fertile period, as the sperm can live inside a woman's vagina near the cervix for 3-5 days (depending on many factors. But this is true for those females whose menstruation is normal of 28 days cycle. So have sex during your fertile period 10th to 16th day and tell your partner to not come off you immediately after the sex, otherwise all sperm will flow out of your vagina. At least lay in that position for 10 minutes if you wish to increase your chance of getting pregnant for more queries contact us.
