There can be many factors due to which gaining proper weight is difficult. •Genetic •Improper diet. •Over active Lifestyle or high Metabolism. Tips to help you gain weight are:- 1.Increase the carbohydrate content in your diet. 2.Plan 2-3 snacks in between the 3 major meals those are in calories. 3.No fluids before and in between of meals. 4.Check the quantity of caffeine and nicotine. Increase concentrated calories like: 1.Nuts and seeds for example: almonds, peanuts and pumpkin seeds. 2.Proper intake of protein in form of whole chicken whole eggs and paneer will help you maintain good muscle mass. 3.Take proper rest sessions and sleep to let body overcome the fatigue.

Hi karishma firstly, start doing surya namaskar in morning and start eating triphla chooran (natural medicine) in morning empty stomach with luke warm water. Start a fruit dieting every alternative day, means you have to eat fruits every alternative days & normal fruit every other alternative days. Avoid late night dinners and try to eat nothing after sunset. Sit in vajrasana after every meal you eat for 10 minutes. Walk atleast 30 min in morning.

Do regular exercise like push ups,plank,squat along with healthy diet.Avoid fast foods,junk food.Avoid sugar,sweetened juice.Drink lots of water specially before meals.Take plenty of watery vegetables,whole fruits.Use small amount of healthy fat in cooking.Use lukewarm water to reduce extra body fat.These are simple things but for more details consult me privately on lybrate.

My knee is quite painful and after xray doctors told me the gap is less. I find difficult to walk. Doctors suggested weight loss. No matter how I try my weight not reducing. Walking is tough and my posture also getting bad. What can I do to loose wight and for my knee to be less painful.

Hello, Your weight is way to high. So start with including more vegetables. Aim to eat atleast 8-10 servings of vegetables. Atleast 4 servings should be raw. Have small meals many times a day. As you cannot do walking try doing g sitting exercises like simple head and neck movements, hand movements, breathing exercises and pranayama. Take good quality protein from legumes, pulses, soya, and egg. Supplementing with vitamin C, omega. 3 fatty acids, vit D also helps you a lot with your problem. Hope you find this useful. Hello, Regular exercise eg. walking, cycling, jogging, swimming . •Eating plenty of fibre in your diet. Foods rich in fibre include wholegrain bread, brown rice and pasta, oats, peas, lentils, grain, beans, fruit, vegetables and seeds. •Having at least five portions, or ideally 7-9 portions, of a variety of fruit and vegetables per day. These should be in place of foods higher in fat and calories. For example, fruit makes a good, healthy snack if you feel hungry. •Limiting fatty food such as fatty meats, cheeses, full-cream milk, fried foods, butter, etc. Use low-fat options where possible. Examples are: • Skimmed or semi-skimmed instead of full-cream milk. • Using low-fat, mono-unsaturated or polyunsaturated spreads instead of butter. • If you eat meat, eating lean meat, or poultry such as chicken. • Try to grill, bake or steam rather than fry food. If you do fry food, choose a vegetable oil such as sunflower, rapeseed or olive. • Avoiding sugary drinks and foods such as chocolate, sweets, biscuits, cakes, etc. • Limiting other foods likely to be high in fat or sugar such as some take-away or fast foods. •Eating three meals a day and not skipping meals. Obesity - Know How Homeopathy Treats It

Obesity is a common nutritional disorder that has resulted into stress among people of all age groups. The mushrooming of slimming centers, weight loss pills and diet plans in the recent past are all pointers of how people are disturbed by obesity. The condition results from excess accumulation of fats in the body as a result of excess intake of food. When you take an excess of 50 calories in a day, you are said to increase weight by 25 kgs within a ten-year period. While scientists largely attribute the cause for the condition to intake of excess food, studies also reveal that genes could play a significant role too. There is no cure for obesity but a method that is slowly gaining popularity for countering obesity successfully is homeopathy.

Homeopathic Medicines

For many years now, homeopathy has been used as a mode of treatment for obesity across many countries in the world. The mode of treatment usually is constitutional and needs a detailed case history of the patient and evaluation so that the best remedy can be selected.

  1. Calcarea Carbonica is a homeopathic medicine that is administered when a patient has excess fat in their abdomen. The constitutional symptoms are profuse perspirations on the head, low tolerance for cold air and strange cravings like desire to eat chalk.
  2. Natrum Mur is used for patients with excess of weight in their thighs and buttocks. Excessive heat and intolerance towards sun are the constitutional symptoms for this homeopathic medicine.
  3. Lycopodium is used similar to the natrum Mur. However, here the constitutional symptoms vary in that they are used on patients suffering from gastric troubles. Patients have a liking for hot food and sweet stuff. These are just a few examples.

Other Methods for Weight Loss:

Homeopathic medicines work by stimulating the metabolic rate of the body to burn fat much faster and as such should be used with exercise and a controlled balanced diet comprising of proteins, vitamins, carbohydrates and minerals. When these three are combined, the results are much faster and the degree of weight loss will be much higher.

To win over obesity the key thing is to take adequate amounts of food as diet which is the greatest cause of obesity. Apart from damaging the physical appearance of an individual, the condition can develop many diseases such as blood pressure, heart related diseases, osteoarthritis, and many more. Obesity at initial stages can cause a lot of discomfort such as breathlessness, inability to carry out daily tasks, walking, running etc. The best way to take care of health is to adopt measures to fight obesity. Caution: Most people tend to adopt a short cut to fight obesity such as popping ‘miracle pills’, crash diets, starving etc. These methods may bring results but are extremely dangerous for health. These methods can ruin kidneys, liver and heart. Hence, it is crucial to stay away from such temptations. Any medications without a doctor’s prescription can be life threatening. Here are some steps to fight obesity: Step 1: Ban Fatty and Processed Foods If you are serious about fighting obesity, then you must put a ban on fatty and processed foods. Dear lybrate-user, if the weight gain has increased drastically without making any evident change in food and other physical activities. I recommended you to get your thyroid levels checked. Still for basic weight loss to be achieved maintains a balanced diet of not more than 1500 calories per day. 1. Refined sugars in coffee and tea should be completely stopped, shift to multigrain chapatti instead of only wheat based and have more complex crabs in your snacks time like roasted grain and salads. 2.2serving of fruits should be included but keep the serving size maximum to 1 at one time. 3. Include 1-2 portions of proteins in form of tofu, paneer, sprouts and oat meals daily in the evening time to manage the intake of carbohydrates after 7: 30 pm. 4. Maintain a good balanced of carbohydrates, fats and protein to the ratio and include a cardio session of 45 mins daily for at least 5 days a week to maintain a good health overall.

To lose weight eat an hour within walking up and dinner at least 2 hours before you sleep. Avoiding eating anything after dinner. Breakfast should be your king size have good complex carbohydrates and protein rich. Eat every 2 hours small frequent meal do help in weight loss. And do not overeat. One can come to ideal body weight with few lifestyle modification. Have green tea only 2 cups a day. For exercise I would say diet plays 80 % role and exercise plays 20 % role in losing weight. Personal advise on gym. You should not make your body habituated with machines rather do simple walk or surya namaskar or planks. So only with healthy eating one can lose weight.
