Varicose Veins And Homeopathic Cure

Varicose Veins And Homeopathic Cure

Varicose veins is a common condition observed in practice whereby patients present with dilated, tortuous and elongated veins, especially on the legs. However, any vein in the body if gets twisted, stretched out or looses elasticity, could be labeled as varicose.

  • The veins have certain valve like mechanism which allows the blood to move upwards toward the heart. The valves have leaflets. When the leaflets loose their elasticity, the valves loose their capacity to push blood upwards; hence there is a back pressure which leads to further elongation of the veins. The veins also have reduced elasticity. As a result, the veins get ‘tortuous’ or twisted; as well as hardened. The veins, thus, become visible as zigzag vascular tubes, especially on legs.
  • Varicose veins affect especially the depending parts of the body that is lower limbs, which gets even worse when one tends to stand longer. People in the business of standing for long, such as sales people, policemen, plastic surgeon (tend to stand for hours during surgery), etc. Are risk of developing varicose veins
  • Homeopathy works very well for mild to moderate cases of varicose veins. It helps to reduce pain, control further varicosity, reduces swelling. Homeopathy also helps significantly in the cases which have varicose ulcers. Homeopathic treatment is strongly recommended for all cases of varicose veins
  • You can easily take an online consultation for further treatment guidance and permanent cure without any side effects.

Hello Drs, am suffering from varicose veins for 30 years up to now no pain but some times scratching my self, under doppler, it showered damaged valves and perforation. And the Dr. told me that I should go under surgery, I would like to know where I can do laser surgery in kolkata-west bengali, and again I would also like to ask is there is no re-occurrence after use of laser treatment, Thank you.

MBBS, MS - General Surgery, MCh - Vascular Surgery
Vascular Surgeon, Bangalore
I understand that you have been fairly alright with having varicose veins for the last 30 years. But body has a tolerance. If your scan is showing damage which requires it to be treated, it is better to undergo the procedure in order to avoid complications. Skin damage in Varicose veins is not completely reversible. Any procedure associated with Varicose veins has a 10-15% risk of recurrence. I am not sure as to who does laser varicose vein procedure at Kolkata.

Is surgery is the only option to treat varicose veins? If I go for laser surgery (ELVes) fpr varicose veins will there be any side effects?

MBBS Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, DNB (Peripheral Vascular Surgery), DNB (General Surgery), MNAMS
Vascular Surgeon, Nashik
If you have pain, swelling or ulcer its better to consider for surgery. If its minimal you can go on stockings which will keep varicosities under control. Laser has very very minimal side effects and are rare.

I have varicose veins and incompetent valves in right leg. What is expected time of full recovery after surgery? What are the costs involved?

General Surgeon, Mumbai
Varicose vein surgery may be sclerotherapy, open procedure or minimally invasive. Cost would depend on the procedure and the stage of varicose veins after surgery patient starts walking on same day. Can resume work in two days. Generally.

I have problem of Varicose veins in legs .how to get treatment of varicose veins.

PDDM, MHA, MBBS
General Physician, Nashik
Earlier stages of varicose veins are treated by wearing stockings, sleeping with legs elevated and sclerotherapy (injection of sclerosing agents in the veins ). Advanced stages are treated by destruction of defective valves in the veins or surgical removal of veins. In cases where there are no symptoms except bad cosmetic experience, no treatment is offered. You must get yourself evaluated by getting a Doppler ultrasound of veins done which would reveal the exact status of your veins.
