Mix them well and take 1/2 teaspoon (3-5 gm) of mixture daily after meal. Or take 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper (kali mirch), 1/ 2 tea spoon of jeera (cumin), 2-3 slice of ginger. Boil it in one glass of water for 2-3 minutes. Drink 5-10 teaspoons (15-20 ml) in morning and evening for strong digestive system. Or you can take amla powder 1 teaspoon with water for strong digestion. 2. Take a diet rich with proteins and fats. In morning, take a glass of milk added with 2 teaspoons of protein powder with breakfast. In lunch time, take 1 bowl of curd or 100 gm of cheese, a bowl of vegetable, with chapattis. In evening, take 1 glass of milk (300 ml) with 2 bananas. In night, take a bowl of careals (daal, a bowl of salad with chapattis. 3. In morning, get up early and take awalk for 10-15 minutes and exercise light weight exercises for at least 30 minutes at home or gym. 4. For proper fitness, proper sleep is very important. So you should sleep for 6-8 hours daily. 5. Avoid soft drinks, western fast food (burgers, french fries, pizza etc. They disturb your digestion. 6. Do meditation daily to calm down your stress level. The best way to increase weight is by taking a high protein, calorie dense diet along with some toning exercises. So, try increasing your calorie intake gradually. So, you can increase the intake of high protein foodstuffs like milk/buttermilk, eggs, pulses or dals, cottage cheese, chicken, fish, soyabean etc in your diet. But do it very gradually. Can also try shakes and smoothies prepared with combination of fruit and milk or yoghurt. Hope this will help!

Mr. lybrate-user, thanks for the query. Given B12 level is within the normal limit. As regards the numbness, when diabetes is long standing, it tends to affect peripheral nerves causing certain amount of symptoms like tingling and numbeness even burning sensation. These symptoms are observed even with very good glucose control However, if the blood glucose control is not good, then the problem can be more severe. So primary need is to achieve astrict blood glucose control with FBG < 100 mg, PP 150 to 160 mg & HbA1c% <6.8. Thanks.

Hi Lybrate User, As per your measurements your BMI is 31.2 which is in 'Obese' Category. It means you could reduce about 15 kgs which is already causing problems for you like BP, Cholesterol etc. 1. Olive oil is mainly used for salad dressing etc because of its low smoke point. 2. Olive oil is not suitable for Indian Cooking at high temperatures. 3. It is better to use a variety of simple oils produced locally like Saffola, Groundnut, Mustard, Sunflower, Rice Bran oil. 4. Point to note that whatever oil you use, the max oil per day must not exceed 4 Teaspoons of oil. 5. Some bit of oils you must get from Almonds, which you can eat about 15 per day. 6. You also have to get your refined sugars/carbs under control. 7. Its better you visit a dietician and adopt a change in lifestyle and food habits. 8. Olive oil is not going to help you in this. 9. Good health does not cost any money. 10. Good health needs commitment to change your lifestyle. Make a commitment to change your habits and change your life.

Can I take supplementary for build up my weak body cos I do gym. Is there any side effect if I take. Please suggest me.

Proteins are the building blocks of life and every living cell uses them for both structural and functional purposes. They are long chains of amino acids linked together like beads on a string, then folded into complex shapes. There are 9 essential amino acids that we must get from the diet and 12 that are non-essential, which the body can produce out of other organic molecules. The quality of a protein source depends on its amino acid profile. The best sources of protein in the diet contain all the essential amino acids in ratios that are appropriate for humans. In this regard, animal proteins are better than plant proteins, which makes perfect sense given that the muscle tissues of animals are very similar to our own tissues. We recommend Daily intake of 56 grams per day for men and 46 grams per day for women, varying between individuals based on age, body weight, activity levels and some other factors.Protein powder should definitely be from an organic (and grass-fed if dairy based) source. Collagen Hydrolysate is a mostly tasteless non-gelling form of gelatin that can be easily blended into hot or cold beverages. It is typically more easily digestible which is important for people who have autoimmune disease or gut issues. Hydrolyzed Collagen is unique in its amino acid structure because of its high amounts of glycine, lysine and proline, which are found in lower amounts in other protein food supplements. These particular amino acids are found to generate cell growth much quicker because the natural ability to produce supporting amounts of connective tissue diminishes after the age of 25. Hydrolyzed Collagen is more easily digested because of its low molecular weight and is absorbed within 30 minutes. All of the amino acids collectively are beneficial to cell reproduction, but it is the distinctive spectrum of this product that impacts the metabolic pathways to healthy tissue.

  1. Chocolate: You can’t go wrong with chocolate and it would definitely be on the top of the list for top romantic foods. Oysters are another known aphrodisiac, they are considered to be the symbol of passion.Oysters are rich in zinc and are considered to be great for boosting fertility. They also contain a high amount of amino acids that help in the production of sex hormones. Oysters are usually eaten raw straight from the shell with a dash of lemon juice. I have over weight and as well as the how to reduces my weight please help me sir.

Doctor of Naturopathy & Natural Medicines, DM - Clinical Haematology
Dietitian/Nutritionist, Agra
I have over weight and as well as the how to reduces my weight please help me sir.
Naturopathy believes that Mother Nature has every remedy for our problems, it believes in preventing the problem instead of just curing it. I am suggesting you some simple lifestyle changing tips that will not just make your body proportionate and give you a desired shape but will also help you obtain a healthy body. You can come over it very easily due to your determination. 1.Make sure you are walking at least 5000 steps every day. It is strongly recommended that you start with a jogging regime. Buy a pedometer to check how much step you walk, its a cheap gadget available in medical shops. 2.You should avoid late night dinners at any cost and make sure you are following a routine while having 3 main course foods of the day. 3.Eat handfull of roasted almond every day. 4.Try having your dinner before sunset and not eat anything heavy after sunset this will surely help you to lose your weight. 5.Try to sleep before 11: 00 P. M. And sleep for minimum 6 to 8 hours. Lack of sleep is also a leading factor of weight gain. 6.Avoid processed food, sugar and its products as well as refined oil/double refined oil. Use pure oil of mustard (sarso), peanut, coconut, cow ghee, sesame. 7.Start doing surya namaskar, its more than a weight loss exercise. From improving your posture, strengthening muscles to whittling extra inches around the waist, the benefits of Suryanamaskar are many, provided you adapt it the right way. A set of 12 fixed, cyclic postures define Suryanamaskar which when performed repeatedly at an easy pace can bring a sense of well being, almost immediately. However, those with a heart condition, arthritis or slip-disk, need their doctor's consent before starting the routine. 8.In the morning start consuming lukewarm water right after you wake up & sitting in sukhasaan (chaukdi) it is advisable to even do rinsing with the lukewarm water in your mouth and drink sip by sip instead of drinking quickly. This process is done for the detoxification and cleaning of your stomach/intestines that has everything to with your weight issues. After this your stomach condition will remain intact at pH7 (which is not alkaline or acidic in nature but normal). 9.Another advice is that don’t drink water after your meals (lunch, dinner, breakfast, or any mini meal). Drink water after 90 minutes. Drinking water after your meals reduces your digestion, and as you know if food is not digested it will produce acid, which in turn will increase your weight. Drinking water during or after meals can bring almost 103 types of disease in your body. 10. Try to eat fruits only every alternative days and other alternative days eat normal food. (60 days) Thanks You can consult me for your diets also to get assured results!
