My diabetic level is morning fasting160 and after eating food 200 bp level is normal. For diabetes you need to avoid sugar, jaggery and honey. In fruits you need to restrict banana, chickoo, mango, sitaphal, watermelon, sugarcane, muskmelon, grapes etc. Yo0u need to avoid deep fried foods like farsan and namkeen etc. In vegetables you need to restrict potato, sweet potato, yam, beetrrot and carrot etc. Try to consume more of salad, Vegetables, whole grains. Eat small and frequent meals. Do not consumeany of your meal heavy. Start taking fenugreek seeds whole or powder in the morning as it will help you keeping your sugar normal. Your fasting sugar should fall below 140. And after eating sugar should be below 180. About medicines you need to consult you physician.

Hi. Loosing weight is a gradual process. You have to be a little patient. Keep a target of atleast 3 months. (some people loose fast and some don't) folloe the instructions: 1. Set a routine. Set your timings for morning or evening work-out. 2. Reduce the calories you take in a day by 25%. Same meals, one fourth less portion. 3. Avoid oily and sugary foods. 4. Packaged snacks should be replaced by diet or roasted snacks and tea/coffee by sugar free green tea or lemon tea. 5. Go to a gym/ run /play a sport like cricket, lawn tennis, basket ball etc. (atleast 45 minutes of work out) 6. Avoid late night meals, and avoid eating after 8: 00 p. M. 7. Get a sound sleep, do not sleep too late. This is not a difficult routine to follow and will show results.

Don't let more than four hours go by without eating. Eat several foods at once. Eat healthy, but dense foods. Drink your food. Eat right before bed. Take ashwagandha churna with water twice a day take banana milk shake. Take pranacharaya karsyatanashak capsule twice a day. Take sleep after taking meal drink lots of milk and eat lots of milk products. Like butter. Ghee. Eat sweets.

The best way to lose weight is exercise and controlled routine. You need not think about the calories and what you are eating if you keep yourself active. Keep on doing at least 1 hour exercise (including weight training, cardio and yoga) and small meals at every 4 hours. Also make sure to restrict the quantity of food at any particular time before you feel full. Any crash diets and supplements never help in the long run. Its also very useful to get a detox (panchakarma treatment) done. A classical panchakarma helps in regulating the fat metabolism and thereby can control weight gain. Thanks.

You should take light food as much as summer. Take butter milk, coconut water, curd, raita, sugarcane juice, lemon juice. You should prefer water content fruits like water melon, musk melon, papaya, oranges, mosambi. Include more salad in your food. Avoid junk food. Drink more water in a day.

Hello! whole-grain products such as brown rice, whole-grain pasta, beans, whole wheat bread, whole oats, buckwheat, millet, whole rye, whole-grain barley and whole-grain corn, fruits, vegetables, milk n products, pulses are considered good carbohydrates. These foods are rich in fiber, vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients that are beneficial to your health. The thing is everything we eat (except fish, chicken, egg and fat) contain carbohydrate. Now its our choice what we choose to eat.

Mr. Lybrate-user singh, to increase weight, you need to do two things - 1) increase overall food intake, particularly proteins. 2) exercise to build muscles. For increasing food intake continue what you are doing now, plus take at least 2 -3 eggs a day. Take a good quantity cheese. Increase total vegetable & fruit intake. Regular exercise will increase appetite, plus will help in building good muscle mass and weight. Better to join a gym and do a workout under the guidance of professional instructor.

Hi lybrate-user, Yes according to your height you are underweight. To increase weight you should increase your appetite so you should take small & frequent meal. Take small quantity of food/ food items either you are hungry or not. It will increase your appetite slowly. To gain weight you must consume simple foods, which has enormous amount of calories & protein. Consuming lot of calories doesn’t mean that you have to over eat or over stuff yourself. You must always choose healthy sources of calorie dense foods. Eat foods with high amount of calories than your required metabolism. Never skip your meals and make sure you are including all varieties of foods like fruits, vegetables, cereals and foods with high protein in your diet. Dairy products like milk, yoghurt and cheese are rich in protein and calcium. If you are non-vegetarian then include Egg & meat Egg is a protein rich food with high amount of calories. Nuts are the most nutritious and protein rich food. Fruits are the best sources of carbohydrates, healthy sugars, vitamins and minerals.
