Mr Sudhakar, Looking at the details given about your mother, i find that present treatment is unlikely to benefit. She will have to be shifted on Insulin injections, otherwise there will be no control possible. You may not be very happy with my suggestion, but once HbA1c% goes beyond 8 or 9 % then oral drugs alone will not be able to give desired control. The reason is the beta cells have almost stopped producing insulin, hence oral drugs do not have any effect.

. Follow these best tips to get in shape and loose weight.* body become over weight due to deposition of fatty tissues. First you should follow diet plan for weight loss. * in morning, take 2-3 chapattis witha bowl of cooked green vegetables. You can take a glass of without cream milk after 2 hour of breakfast. *in lunch you can take a bowl of soupor salad. *in evening, you can take a cup of teawith glucose biscuits. *in dinner, you can take a bowl of fruits or 2 chapattis with a bowl of vegetables. * work out for atleast 1 hour in morning, you can try skipping for 15 minutes with a walk of 30 minutes and 5-10 minutes running. As staying indoors is advised, there are a few tips one can follow at home if one feels out of breath or irritation in the throat. Smog can facilitate the spread of viral infections from small throat irritation, so it must not be taken lightly. Dear lybrate user, pcod (polycystic ovarian disease) is a disese of hormonal imbalance. Due to imbalanace in the ladies hormones you get small multiple nodules in the ovaries which is the main cause of infertility. It is genrally shown in fatty ladies. Due to excessive fat your digestive system and blood purify sysytem leads to hormonal imbalance. For that. Avoid fast food, junk food, oily food, soicy food, rice, potato, etc heavy food. Take easily digestible food like green leafy vegetables etc. Drink at least 3 litres of water in a day. Regular do yogasana /pranayama / deep breathing exercise etc to reduce stress and anger. This is the most necessary in this case. You must try to manage stress and anger. 100 steps walking immidiately after meal. Take dinner 2 hours before sleeping time. Take enough sleep. Regular walking for an hour 5 days in a week. You must try your best to reduce your weight. Take. Breakfast = 7 am to 8 am lunch = 12 noon to 1 pm dinner = 8 pm to 9 pm. Pcod is a such life style disease. Now a days obesity and stress increase the numbers of patients of this disease. So it is necessary for you follow above all instructions.

Did you used to fast for long hours (self dieting) or miss meals? this tends to put on more weight because their body start storing even carbs. To loose with heathy food like eat every 3 hours in moderate amounts, a combination of more fibre, whole grains, sprouts, legumes, salads, 3-4 cups green tea, 1 fist dry fruits to have virgin fats, limit aerated & sugary beverages, junk foods, fast foods etc. And exercise for 45 min including yoga especially kapal bharti - 15 min every day. For thyroid you consult me separately as there are several does and don't for several food items, which I can explain you in detail. Hye. Thanks for the query. Most often weakness lack of energy could be a reason. It is important to know that just eating two heavy meals a day will not fulfill your nutrient needs. Most often we skip meals especially when at work or in college. We start our day on empty stomach but our work or stress or activity is never reduced. This causes weakness and lack of energy levels. Food is our source of energy and if you don't eat well as per your needs you are going to get deficient in many nutrients. So, start by eating the right foods at the right time. Eat meals at frequent intervals. Eat a mid meal between each main meal. Avoid junk foods. Include dairy, eggs, nuts, fruits in your meals. Avoid alcohol and smoking. Sleep well.    Exercise at least thrice a week. Get your blood pressure, blood sugar, haemoglobin tested.

I am also outlining a 21 day plan for you. If you follow this plan sincerely then you will see a noticeable difference in just 21 days. There are 6 things that you need to do: 1. Eliminate all refined sugars from your diet. This means no sugar in your tea/coffee/milk, no consumption of sugary beverages like coke, pepsi and total elimination of all snacks like biscuits, cakes, sweet dishes. I know it is difficult but remember that you just have to adhere to this for 21 days. If you wish to snack you can have unsalted peanuts, dry fruits, seeds or yogurt. 2. When you get up in the morning, put your pillow aside and lie with your back straight. Put both your legs together and lift them so your legs are at a 30 degree angle with the bed. Maintain this pose of 5 minutes. Keep breathing while your legs are in the air. 3. Eliminate dinner altogether. In place of dinner have a bowl of papaya. You can have a small bowl of yogurt with black salt if you are not able to control your urge. 4. Keep hydrated through out the day. You need to drink at least 10 glasses of water every day. Tea/coffee are not substitutes of water. Minimize consumption of milk. Add raw vegetables to each meal. 5. One 500mg tablet of calcium d-glucarate and one tablet of b-complex every day. 6.2 sets of 15 squats - twice a day. 2 set of 15 push-ups - twice a day. If you miss even one of the steps mentioned above during your 21 day regime then you have to start all over again from day 1. Please bear in mind that it takes 21 consecutive days of performing all the above mentioned steps for the stomach muscles to start toning up.

Pregnancy test kit & MTP pills kits are available over the counter with instructions on the packs. It is not necessary to have symptoms during early pregnancy. If bleeding does not stop after 10 days of taking MTP pills do visit a doctor as pieces can be retained leading to heavy bleeding and infection. Not every medical abortion is 100% complete.

Bruises to the fingers, toes and spinal cord heal better with Hypericum than they do with arnica.
  3. Calendula: Calendula is a medicine,  which can be applied as a tincture. A tincture is when a medicine is dissolved in alcohol. Apart from a tincture, Calendula can also be used as a cream, spray or gel. It can heal shallow cuts very rapidly in all of these forms.
  4. Millefolium: Millefolium is the best homeopathic remedy when there is excessive bleeding and the wound is not clotting properly. 
  5. Staphisagria: This is another medicine used for cuts. However, it is worth noting that Staphisagria is a very good medicine when it comes to treating cuts which are deep or have a stinging sensation. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a Homeopath.

pcos is curable by hormonal therapy.but management of weight and diet is also important.avoid oily,fatty,spicy and junk food in diet.take light food and small meal at a time,half of your hunger.

Hi lybrate-user Here are some healthy ways to gain weight when you're underweight: * Eat more frequently. When you're underweight, you may feel full faster. Eat five to six smaller meals during the day rather than two or three large meals. * Choose nutrient-rich foods. As part of an overall healthy diet, choose whole-grain breads, pastas and cereals like whole wheat ; fruits and vegetables; dairy products like milk, curd and paneer ;lean protein like fish, chicken and eggs ; and nuts and seeds. * Try smoothies and shakes. Don't fill up on diet soda, coffee and other drinks with few calories and little nutritional value. Instead, drink smoothies or healthy shakes made with milk and fresh or frozen fruit, and sprinkle in some ground flaxseed. In some cases, a liquid meal replacement may be recommended. * Watch when you drink. Some people find that drinking fluids before meals blunts their appetite. In that case, it may be better to sip higher calorie beverages along with a meal or snack. For others, drinking 30 minutes after a meal, not with it, may work. * Make every bite count. Snack on nuts, peanut butter, cheese, dried fruits and almond butter. * Top it off. Add extras to your dishes for more calories — such as cheese in casseroles and scrambled eggs, and fat-free dried milk in soups and stews. * Have an occasional treat. Even when you're underweight, be mindful of excess sugar and fat. An occasional slice of pie with ice cream is OK. But most treats should be healthy and provide nutrients in addition to calories. Yoghurt and granola bars are good choices. * Exercise. Exercise, especially strength training, can help you gain weight by building up your muscles. Exercise may also stimulate your appetite.

It is normal to have a vigorous appetite, provided you do not partake of heavy foods like meat, alcohol, tobacco, egs or drugs. You should strictly follow a pure vegetarian diet and fruits with cow's milk at night about two hours after dinner twice a week.

Start with simple exercises which you can comfortably do. Please do not worry about the weight gain but be health aware and take good care of the baby. Ensure that you eat in small portions 4-5 times a day (breakfast, lunch and dinner being the major part of you daily meal ). Have fruits in between 2-4 times. Avoid all junk food and processed food which can let you gain weight. Avoid cold drinks and fruit juices. Learn yoga as it is safe and gentle. If you can manage the diet (have a balanced diet) and exercise so that you can burn the calories then you will stay healthy and do not gain weight, at the same time have sufficient breast milk for the baby. Take the supplements given by your doctor for some more time. If you have any specific health problem then try Homeopathy which has no side-effects and is effective as well.
