Dysfunctional Uterine Bleeding refers to abnormal vaginal bleeding caused due to an imbalance in hormone levels and hormone signals. The affirmation of such a disorder is attained following the method of elimination. Ruling out factors leading to vaginal bleeding helps confirm the condition of Dysfunctional Uterine Bleeding. A proficient medical practitioner or a gynecologist so to say, will check if the bleeding is caused during pregnancy or due to a miscarriage, if there is a bacterial infection in the vagina or uterus and if bleeding is the result of a disease like cancer or a disorder like development of fibroids. When all these doubts are answered in negative, you know you are suffering from anovulatory bleeding; another name for the condition in concern. Dysfunctional Uterine Bleeding is also starkly set against incongruities resulting from systemic disorders, inflammation of the skin of your cervix and frequent consumption of oral contraceptives.

What triggers Dysfunctional Uterine Bleeding:

Doctors say that Dysfunctional Uterine Bleeding could possibly be the effect of your ovaries not releasing an egg. The frenzied interaction of hormone signals might make you bleed very heavily during menstruation. Menstrual blood is likely to contain clots. Also, menstruation in this case could either be premature or delayed.

Clinical ways to examine the presence of this disorder in a woman

  1. An ultrasound may be used to detect problems in the pelvic region or in the uterus.
  2. Hysteroscopy gives a detailed and clearer view of the uterus.
  3. Hormone tests such as thyroid function tests are also useful.
  4. Some doctors even make use of Pap smear for diagnosis.
  5. A pregnancy test can identify signs.
  6. Biopsy is used to check for cancer or precancerous cells.

Commonly observed symptoms:

Some of the symptoms of Dysfunctional Uterine Disorder are the same as that resulting from hormonal issues;

  1. Hirsutism or excess hair growth on the face, chest and limbs.
  2. A kind of tenderness felt in and around the vagina.
  3. Sudden outburst and mood swings.

Other symptoms characteristic of an ovulatory bleeding are:

  1. Bleeding or spotting from vagina between two consecutive periods.
  2. Prolonged and disabling periods: Menstruation for some might last for more than eight to ten days.
  3. The duration between periods keeps altering every month.
  4. Heavy blood flow during periods and passage of clots could be worrisome.

Dysfunctional Uterine Bladder needs careful medical assistance and prompt treatment. Delaying the process can make you anemic and severely prone to endometrial cancer.

You will have to take antidiabetic medications lifelong. It needs continous monitoring and most importantly you need to follow diabetic diet and exercise daily for at least 30 minutes. Its not mandatory that you will require insulin.

Will vitamin D save my life? Should I really be taking four times the recommended daily dose?

Vit d suppliments is recommended for vitamin d deficiency. Take only the recommended dose otherwise it might cause toxicity. Daily exposure to the sunlight for 30 min is essential. Eat vit d rich foods too.

Replace Junk Food With Healthy Substitutes

No matter how healthy a diet you're maintaining to keep your body fit, an occasional craving for Pizzas, Burgers, Potato Chips and other fast foods are bound to happen and are very normal. However, junk foods not only disrupt a healthy dietary routine, according to a recent research conducted in the Ontario based University of Waterloo, there is a direct relation between the craving for junk food and disruption in the normal functioning of the brain. Here is a list of healthy and tasty substitutes for junk foods which might be considered as alternatives when you have those sudden and strong cravings.

  1. Puffed rice: A cup of puffed rice contains balanced amounts of calories (54), fat (0.13 gram), carbohydrates (12.29 gram), protein (0.98 gram), iron and fiber. Mix it with little amounts of green chutney, tamarind chutney, chilies, potatoes and peanuts and you have "bhel", a tasty and healthy snack munched on all across India, which is not at all harmful as compared to the high fat containing fast foods.
  2. Corn: Corns have a balanced amount of carbohydrates, vitamins, proteins and other minerals in them. Roasted corn or boiled corn with lemon juice and little spices can be used as tasty yet healthy substitute for junk foods.
  3. Rice crackers: If you can't make up your mind about whether or not to pick up the packet of potato chips from the market, don't bother. Try nachos or rice crackers instead. Every bit of it is as tasty as the potato chips; rice crackers contain a large amount of fiber and a minuscule amount of fat.
  4. Nuts: According to a recent research, chocolate cravings occur because of a lack of magnesium content in the body. Chocolates contain an unbelievable amount of calories (290); so you can have nuts such as almonds as substitute foods whenever you get that inimitable chocolate craving.
  5. Homemade Frozen Yogurt: Yogurt contains little amount of calories and a considerable amount of proteins. Frozen yogurts can be the best alternatives to ice creams.

1. Start cardiovascular exercises like running, jogging, cycling etc. 2. Avoid carbohydrates and fats. 3. Avoid processed and junk foods. 4. Start exercising. Both body weight exercises like push ups, pull ups, squats and weight training in the gym is helpful. 5. Stay hydrated. 6. Have a light dinner. 7. Evening walk is always recommended. 8. Green veggies complete your nutrient requirements. 9. Consume all types of protein both from veg and non veg sources. 10. Sleep well.

Probiotics as a Health Supplement

The human body consists of a wide variety of bacteria which are either good or bad for your body. The general image of bacteria is that they only cause harm to your body, but this is not the actual scenario and there are many types of good bacteria as well which are actually beneficial for your health. Probiotics are health supplements that usually contain live bacteria to be consumed in solid or liquid form. One of the most important functions of probiotics is that they help in ensuring a functional and healthy digestive system.

However, physical therapy, medications, or surgery may also be necessary. Some minor shoulder pain can be treated at home. Icing the shoulder for 15 to 20 minutes three or four times a day for several days can help reduce pain. Use an ice bag or wrap ice in a towel because putting ice directly on your skin can cause frostbite and burn the skin.

Hello, Post pregnancy weight gain can perhaps be the biggest challenge sometimes. It is always important to lose weight. Start controlling your diet.. Include low calories vegetables and fruits with reducing consumption of sweets, junk, oily food. Walk for at least 60 mins etc. Eat every 2 hrs.

Hello less weight is sometimes common according to age. Ayurveda believes in digestion not into giving heavy food for weight gain. According to ayurveda, food which are easy to digest but nutrient can gain weight. But I need detait history for perfact solution. Like your appetite? bowel habits sleeping habits kind of your work or job life style diet etc. But till you can do following: take daal rice more. Use cow ghee n milk. Avoid over eating start massage with til oil in morning, after that, do exercise whatever you want then bath focus in yourself avoid stress anger fear take ajvayan 1 tsp after meal. Start chyavanprash in morning.

Dear lybrateuser, -protein rich foods include milk & milk products like paneer, cheese, yogurt, curds, butter milk, beans, tofu, non-veg foods like fish, chicken, nuts- almonds, walnuts, pistachios, peanuts -for vitamins & other important minerals have more of fruits & vegetables including green leafy & other seasonal ones -in breakfast you can have eggs with wholewheat bread, milk with oats & fruits/dry fruits, yogurt with fruits, paneer paratha, sprouts -in meals have more of vegetables, a portion of non-veg, whole grain bread/chapatti, brown rice, beans, legumes, pulses -have 8-10 glasses of water to wash of toxins & for proper digestion.
