Hello My husband has been diagnosed with brain tuberculosis. Docs r saying there is fluid accumulation in the brain. He is on tb medicines since the last 20 days. Though is headache and drowsy ness has gradually decreased. But the weakness refuses to go. Doctors has asked me to give him high protein diet. But the protein in his brain is 152. Is it safe to give him high protein diet. Since his protein level in brain is so high.

It take some time for anti tb drugs to show some good effects, so continue medicines. Yes high protein diet is recommended. The high protein in the brain fluid (csf) which you are taking about is due to the infection and not that his body has high proteins. It is necessary to have proteins in body so that the immunity levels to fight tb are optimized. Another thing to note is that brain tb patients need anti tb medicines form longer durations than lungs tb patients i. E. At least for an year.

To gain some weight, you need to eat healthy. - Take small meals but eat something solid every 2 hours. - Take at least two fruits per day and one glass fruit juice. - Take one peanut butter/cheese sandwich daily. - Eat 20 almonds & 5 dates daily - Drink full cream milk, curd, lassi, chikoo shakes etc. - If your are non veg you can have more eggs, chicken, fish. - Dals have good protein. Have more dals, rajma, kabuli chana, soya beans etc. - Avoid junk food and colas. Avoid chips and other namkeen. - No need for any extra supplements. Natural diet is best. - Go for regular walks / exercise / do yoga. Sleep well. - Take deworming tablets every six month. .Feel confident about yourself and be positive and smile.

Can anyone please tell me at whether to drink "himalaya liv 52" before meal or after meal?

It is immaterial whether you take it before meal or after meal or even don't take it. It has got no action and no useful therapeutic effects nor does it have any preventive action at all against liver disorders. No double blind trials have proved any useful therapeutic or preventive effects. Moreover no medicine is required for liver as it does not require any for it. If liver cells got damaged as in acute viral hepatitis, they get regenerated without any medicine to the extent of 90% provided the trabecular framework is not broken. It means that even if 90% of all your liver cells get damaged they would regenerated and recover themselves without any medicine. If you take any medicine or drugs when your liver is ill and it's cells are damaged, the administerd medicines would put additional overload on liver and may exaggerate liver damage. During damaged liver cells, only you have to take plenty of carbohydrates with plenty of water and B-complex required for carbohydrate metabolism. No fats and no proteins and no drugs or chemicals (present in preserved foods) and no drugs except B-complex vitamins.

Hi welcome - you can assess yourself once you are affected regularly by cough & cold, infections of various types, fever may times even in a month, some times t. B or more chronic disorders. So I advice to have more protein if within 45 years of age of any male or female (here age is written for the patient). Max. Vegetables, fruits 3-4 times, sleep tight 8 hours, high quality carbs like khchdi with some protein (veg /non veg any), dairy foods, curd, fruit juices, more electrolytes, water etc. Mostly need protein, multivitamins, all rest all nutrients in a specific ratio.

Procrastination is just a type of behaviour which develops and is reinforced due to unhealthy negative emotions and irrational beliefs. Behaviour therapies like cbt or ret can certainly help. Improvement with hypnotherapy lacks documentary evidence and is subjective to some extent.

• Women must keep their abdominal circumference lower than 80 cm and men 90 cm
• Keep your fasting sugar lower than 80 mg %.
• Keep your blood pressure lower than 80 mm Hg.
• Keep your heart rate lower than 80 per minute.
• Keep your bad LDL cholesterol lower than 80 mg %.
• Do not consume more than 80 grams of caloric solid or liquid food at once.
• Observe a carbohydrate fast 80 days a year.
• Do not consume alcohol and if you do, restrict it to not more than 80 ml in a day or 80 grams in a week.
• Consume at least 80 fruits and vegetables servings in a week.
