Hello I understand your concern. If you really want to get reduce your weight then you have to follow exercise and yoga specially kapalbhati. It helps to regulate your body metabolism. You mention fibrous food like whole grain and fruits in your diet. further if you need diet chart you may feel free to revert back. good luck.

Hye. You need to eat smaller more frequent meals. Let eating be a pure activity. Avoid late nights and very late dinners. Avoid strong flavours and odours in food. Avoid excessive tea and coffee. Have a teaspoon of roasted cumin seeds powder before meals. Exercise daily to improve appetite.

1. Chew gum daily 2. Do the "X-O" exercise, jaw opener exercise. 3. Do the cheek lift 4. Make "fish lips. 5. Make puffy cheeks by holding in air for as long as you can. 6. Smile a lot and massage your face daily for five minutes.

To gain weight you should eat more calories than you burn. Plus not only you have to eat calorie dense food but you have to keep in mind that what you are eating is healthy too. In the process of weight gain you do not want to put weight in an uneven manner and look unhealthy rather than looking bright and healthy. 1. Start with changing your lifestly. Start working out if you are not active. The biggest myth that prevails now a days is that thin people do not need to work out. This is wrong. When you challenge your body, it is forced to grow. But this growth can only be possible if you are eating enough food to let the body absorb and grow in size and muscles. 2. Eat Healthy – Stop drinking and smoking too much if you are indulged in it. Limit your intake of junk food, pepsi, sugary stuff etc. Do not at all starve yourself. Make it a habit to eat something healthy every 3 hours. This means you have to eat 6 small meals in a day. Your Daily food intake should ideally consist of – a. Have plenty of nuts, dry fuits and seeds. Almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, figs, dates and raisins. They are full of healthy fats needed by a human body. b. Good amount of fruits and vegetables – Bananas, apples, pomegranate, green leafy vegetables. Fruits and vegetables helps in absorption of food in the body and together, completes your daily nutrition need. c. If you are a non- vegetarian - Eat eggs, chicken etc. d. Eat whole grains – Try to have multi grains spread throughout the day. Wheat, brown rice, oats, bajra, daliya etc should be taken in multiple meals in a day. e. Eat Sprouts – Chana and moong which are full of protein and nutrients. f. You can supplement your diet with good quality multi-vitamin capsules. If you are lacking in protein, you can buy a high quality whey protein and have it with banana shake twice a day. g. You can take natural food items like wheat grass which is full of essential nutrients which helps in weight gain. Try to be patient while you are on the process of weight gain. Results take time to show. Just follow the regimen of weight gain religiously and you will soon start seeing the results.

I am 72. I am diabetes and heart and bp patient but under medical care and control. I am having anxiety disorder. My cardiologist prescribed alprazolam 10 mg. But not effective another doctor added amytripline hcl 10mg in addition. I get sleep but always feel insecure. Even small adverse happenings make me go restless. What else can be made to become normal in this evening of my life?

You can take kali phos - 12x / 4 tabs thrice a day for one week and rauwolfia serpent. - q / 10 drops in little water thrice a day for one week. Keep a 10 to 15 minutes gap in between these medicines. Revert back after one week with feedback.

It is good to know that you are exercising. Eating less can sometimes backfire as it can ruin the metabolism. You need to eat in right portion a balanced meal every day. You need a diet which comprises of whole grains like jowar, bajra, wheat, brown rice, pulses like moong, musoor, bengal gram, lots of vegetables, fruits, eggs, fish, chicken, paneer, healthy oil, nuts and seeds. You need to eat them in right proportion. Avoid eating sugar and sweets, refined foods like maida, noodles pasta, white rice and products, bread. Drink a lot of water. Exercise atleast 5 times a week. Do not overeat. Eat 3 proper meals and 2 snack in between. Stop when your stomach is 80% full. Eat slowly.

Firstly start doing surya namaskar every day, eat triphala chooran (natural medicine) - 5 gram with luke warm water empty stomach in morning after doing surya namaskar, start aff (alternative fruit fasting) it means every alternative days you have to eat fruits, drink juices and water in the entire day, the other alt. Day eat your normal diet. Avoid if possible not to eat anything after sunset. You are young start physical exercises and play sports like football, badminton etc. If you cannot involve in games than atleast walk for 30 min in morning and 30 minutes in evening.

Hi lybrate-user Excess fat deposit on tummy area is due to insulin and glucagon hormone imbalance. To lose tummy fat you should avoid starchy and sugary food exm. Chapati, bread, potato. U can use high protein diet exm. Pannier, egg, chicken. Take lipolyzer tummy tablet after lunch and dinner for good weight loss.

Yes, you are a diabetic. Kindly follow diabetic diet and exercise daily for at least 30 minutes and revert after 1 month.

Tips for weight gain 1) eat foods rich in protein like milk and milk product, eggs, chicken, meat. 2) eat energy dense foods like nuts, dates, potato, halwa, kheer etc. 3) eat fruits high in energy like banana, chickoo, sitaphal, mango, grapes. 4) eat two servings of pulses in a day esp. well u can have any types of dates or brand.but make sure that at least it's having proper cleaniness nd hygiene.dates are beneficial for health.but for your father it's better to avoid dates in case if diabetic patient.but if your father wants to have then he can have that only in case of controlled sugar.and not 4-5 but can have 1-2 sometimes.hope you get the answer you want.and if need any other hlp feel free to ask anytime.take care dear.hav a gud day!

Mr. lybrate-user, If diabetes is under good control then fasting blood glucose should be closer to 100 mg, PP 150 to 160 mg & HbA1 c% <6.8. If good control is not achieved, then many long term complications of diabetes related to eyes (retina), nerves, kidney, peripheral vessels leading to lower limb problems and coronary artery diseases tend occur early. Other than modern medicines, there are no drugs to control blood glucose levels effectively in any of the alternate practices. If you have been able to achieve blood glucose levels as mentioned above then that is really good. Thanks.

Hi, I'm 34 years old. I got married on 31 years. After my pregnancy I gained lot of weight. I was 50kg 4 years back. And my baby is 2 years 5 months now. I had c section. Then in 2 months I went for another sugary which gallbladder. After that I started putting on weight. I was very thin. I'm trying my best to reduce but nothing working out. I do lot of work at home. Wieght is a result of direct input /output ratio. Reduce intake of food and increase metabolism is the only way. Consult a dietician for food control.

A) Take 30 ml of aloe vera juice along with 30 ml of bhrungarajasava and 30 ml of lukewarm water, at night before sleep. B) take 10 ml of fresh lemon juice and 10 gm of jaggary before meals. C) eat 5 gms of black cumin seeds along with 30 ml of lukewarm water after meals. Do all these things for 30 days…it gives you good result.
