Hi there ~ Recommended foods in diabetes: Make your calories count with these nutritious foods: Healthy carbohydrates. During digestion, sugars (simple carbohydrates) and starches (complex carbohydrates) break down into blood glucose. Focus on the healthiest carbohydrates, such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes (beans, peas and lentils) and low-fat dairy products. Fiber-rich foods. Dietary fiber includes all parts of plant foods that your body can't digest or absorb. Fiber can decrease the risk of heart disease and help control blood sugar levels. Foods high in fiber include vegetables, fruits, nuts, legumes (beans, peas and lentils), whole-wheat flour and wheat bran. Heart-healthy fish. Eat heart-healthy fish at least twice a week. Fish can be a good alternative to high-fat meats. For example, cod, tuna and halibut have less total fat, saturated fat and cholesterol than do meat and poultry. Fish such as salmon, mackerel, tuna, sardines and bluefish are rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which promote heart health by lowering blood fats called triglycerides. However, avoid fried fish and fish with high levels of mercury, such as tilefish, swordfish and king mackerel.'Good' fats. Foods containing monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats — such as avocados, almonds, pecans, walnuts, olives, and canola, olive and peanut oils — can help lower your cholesterol levels. Eat them sparingly, however, as all fats are high in calories. Foods to avoid Diabetes increases your risk of heart disease and stroke by accelerating the development of clogged and hardened arteries. Foods containing the following can work against your goal of a heart-healthy diet. Saturated fats. High-fat dairy products and animal proteins such as beef, hot dogs, sausage and bacon contain saturated fats. Get no more than 7 percent of your daily calories from saturated fat. Trans fats. These types of fats are found in processed snacks, baked goods, shortening and stick margarines and should be avoided completely. Cholesterol. Sources of cholesterol include high-fat dairy products and high-fat animal proteins, egg yolks, shellfish, liver, and other organ meats. Aim for no more than 300 milligrams (mg) of cholesterol a day. On an average, a man needs around 2,000 calories a day and a woman 1700 calories a day to maintain his weight and good health. Number varies by person depending upon weight, age and how active the lifestyle is. 7. Guideline: Each day have 3 main meals, 2 snacks, 5 pieces of fruit and at least 1 glass of milk.

Eat healthy,don't skip meals,avoid all forms of sugar(cola/juices/cold drinks/sweets/chocolates etc) have more of fiber rich food(whole grains instead of refined) have 2-3 fruits a day,avoid eating too much at one meal,and stop sitting or lying down immediately after having food,keep atleast 1 hour gap.Above all combine this with exercises atleast 4-5 times a week.

Hello, there are few facial exercises which can help you in toning up the facial muscles: -not only can chewing gum calm your nerves and freshen your breath, but it can also help you lose weight from your cheeks. -profoundly pronounce" x-o" at least fifteen times. Take a break and repeat the exercise three times. -open your mouth round and wide and hold this pose for a few seconds. Then, relax your jaw and repeat this motion nine more times, for a series of ten repetitions. -lift up your cheeks toward your eyes as high as you can. Use the corners of your mouth to help lift your cheeks. You should feel like you're trying to form a strained, awkward smile. -draw in your cheeks until you're making fish lips by puckering out your top and bottom lip. -close your mouth and fill your cheeks and mouth with air. Then, move the air from one cheek to the other as slowly as you can. Move the air from one cheek to the other at least ten times, and take the time to fill your cheeks with air again if necessary. Repeat this exercise three times daily. -smiling also exercises your facial muscles. You can just smile on your own, holding each smile for ten seconds and repeating this action ten times. After completing a series of facial exercises, gently rub your fingers over your cheeks and jaw in a circular motion. This will help relieve tension and soreness after exercising.

Set specific times to eat and stick by this schedule. Once your body gets used to eating on a schedule, you should start to feel hungry at these times. Avoid drinks before or during mealtimes. If you want to increase your appetite, avoid filling up on beverages. Wait half an hour before or after meals to drink. Eat small meals. Eating smaller meals frequently throughout the day can help stimulate your appetite. Instead of trying to get down three large square meals, aim to consume four to six smaller meals.

Please clarify whether honey can be taken by a diabetic and exactly what is the difference between type 1 & type 2 diabeties?

Type 1 is the absence of pancreatic function as in children and type 2 is reduction in pancreatic function as in adults. Regarding honey sugar control is the biggest concern, it is not as easy task to control blood sugar in the desired normal range. Whatever we eat is metabolised to sugar in the body to provide energy for our daily activities. For the absolute control, one has to monitor his / her blood sugar at regular intervals (self-monitoring of blood glucose? smbg). Though difficult, this can be done by a glucometer and keep a record. Get an idea of fasting sugar (fbs) and 2 hours after food (ppbs) and check before dinner and after every major food. The basic idea is to reduce the food intake to 1/3 of what you take now. The dictum of sugar control is diet, exercise, diet + medicine and at later stage medicine+ insulin will be needed. For sugar control there is the need for regular advice and follow up. Just one time consultation or advice is not enough to guide a diabetic in scientifically & medically correct manner. For giving you regular follow up you ask me privately with all details like your daily eating pattern and medicines you take. I assure you a proper guidance. If you keep in touch.

your blood glucose levels are well under control ..kudos for that...yes these medicines are appropriate for u if these sugar levels are on this treatment..if these medicines are just prescribed now..then these are a bit heavy ones and not required as of now...keep a check on b.sugar regularly to avoid hypoglycemia..let me know your past treatment status

Sir I have been Bodybuilding From Last One year. I want to Start A Steroid Cycle. Within safe limits .I want Testosterone enanthate with some aromatase inhibitor and antiestrogen combination too avoid d side effects. Instead of going for steroids which is not advisable, you can have some Unani neutraceuticals which may help you to make your body healthy. Administration of steroid will create other problems thats why I will not advise you for steroid therapy. Natural body building products may be used for increasing your weight.
