Hi lybrate-user. Your bmi (body mass index) is 17.46 which is below normal bmi of 18.5-24.9. To increase your weight, improve the protein intake by consuming food such as soyabeans, peanuts, chicken, tuna, eggs, cheese etc. Build up your muscle through weight training i. E lifting weights as it will stimulate your appetite. The extra muscle will speed up your metabolism and so you will need to consume more calories which will enhance your weight. Too much precautions 1. Don't eat sweet, fattty oily food 2. Always wear sleeper or sandle in foot to prevent foot injury 3. Eat schedule should be fixed. Breakfast at 8am, lunch at 1pm, dinner at 8pm 4. Use sugar free gold instead of sugar in tea, coffee or any other food 5. Regular exercise 15-20 min walking in morning.

Hello To gain weight the general advice will be to start eating weight gain diet or food in a higher quantity. You will get advice to have milk/milk products/dry fruits/meat/fish etc. Diet divided in six short meals will b advised by one and all. I will try not to bombard you with these general advice as you are going to get them in plenty. What I am concentrating is to make you understand why you are not gaining weight. Ask yourself three questions. 1. Am I satisfied with by bowel moments? Meaning am I satisfied with passing stools? 2. Do I eat food because it's lunch time or am I actually hungry? 3. Am I getting proper sound sleep? If all the three answers are positive meaning proper stools are being passed no constipation, you r eating food because you are hungry and not because it's lunch time and you are having proper sleep then you can blindly follow the advice given by maximum doctors that is to increase your weight gain food. But if the answers are negative that means you are suffering from constipation or not getting proper sleep then we will have to sort that issues first as weight can only be gained if the food is getting properly digested and a person with gud digestion doesn't suffer from constipation. Also a person with gud sleep will gain weight with weight enhancing food as body does its weight gaining if person gets gud rest. Kindly ask yourself above questions and if you feel that you require help in those areas kindly feel free to book an appointment. Remember general advice generally doesn't give gud result.

Daily use is not good (depends on which drug yu are usng) whereas you can take Lactulose syrup and eat high fiber diet.

You are not overweight as per your height. Try to eat healthy and exercise 3 times a week at least and you can look slimmer.

Diabetic macular oedema ( DME ) is severe form of Diabetic Retinopathy affecting vision.
DME can occur in any stage of diabetes.
Thus, the importance of regular eye check-up for diabetic patients is must. At least once in a year get your eyes fully tested.
Most of the people are unaware of this complication. And many times when I ask my patient about eye test I get answers like , "I got my eye glasses power checked and changed or I don't have cataract. "
Eye check-up for diabetic person is checking the back part of the eye which is called as Retina.
Once DME is diagnosed, immediate treatment is necessary to ensure better outcomes and prevent vision loss.

Diabetic macular oedema (DME) can be treated using laser therapy and/or intravitreal injections with vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) inhibitor injections.


Anti-VEGFs are able to reduce oedema, macula thickening and vascular permeability
They are the treatment of choice for DME because they can improve the patient’s vision ,produce good results and have a low risk of complications.

3 anti-VEGFs are available in market. bevacizumab and ranibizumab, aflibercept .

In some patients, there may be a need for a combination therapy of both laser treatment and intravitreal anti-VEGF injections. DME treatment needs to be personalised to cater to each patient’s conditions. This applies to the frequency of intravitreal anti-VEGF injections, with the injections given as per the patient’s condition instead of following a strict routine frequency protocol.

In a day 2.5 to 3 liter water is sufficient, take in sips if feeling nausea or vomiting, may have interval of one hour or more.

I am getting energy for last ten years or more. So much of treatment was done but nothing happened. Mostly doctors give me symkast-lc As soon as medicine was over energy comes again. It happens to me with coldness.

Hye, Thanks for the query. Most often we lack energy because we do not eat the right foods at the right time when needed by the body. We try to look for shortcuts like medicines which just make us feel energised for the time being and once the medication is discontinued you are back to the low stamina phase. It is important to know that just eating two heavy meals a day will not fulfill your nutrient needs. Most often we skip meals especially when at work or in college. We start our day on empty stomach but our work or stress or activity is never reduced. This causes weakness and lack of energy levels. Food is our source of energy and if you don't eat well as per your needs you are going to get deficient in many nutrients. So, start by eating the right foods at the right time. Eat meals at frequent intervals. Eat a mid meal between each main meal. Avoid junk foods. Include dairy, eggs, nuts, fruits in your meals. Avoid alcohol and smoking. Sleep well.    Exercise at least thrice a week.

I suggest you easy method of weight gain just follow it for year you will gain weigh defiantly 1. Start exercise regularly for 3 month and then after 3 month leave it for 3 month at the time of exercise your diet will increase but same diet continue after 3 month when you stop exercise so thats why your weight will increase automatically now we discus about diet 2. Take dates with milk in the morning breakfast 3. Triphala kadha 4 tsp beore lunch and dinner 4. Amala juice 4 tsp + 2tsp sugar + 2tsp honey in the morning empty stomach this take for 1.5 month only your weight gain will take definitely note=avoid over eating.

If you want to do that you will have to take certain precautions. Do not Practice it until 3 hours of eating. Your lunch and dinner time should be kept fixed. Also, control the spicy and oily food content from your diet. It will aggravate your GERD problem.

To increase weight increase eating frequently. Do not skip meals. Avoid fast foods as far as possible. Use dense vegetables, fruits. Do not skip meals. Take nuts, seeds. Extra protein foods will help you. Use extra healthy fats in cooking. Avoid smoking, alcohol. Take proper rest at night. Do muscle building exercise which will help you to gain weight.

Hi lybrate-user reduce your inches 1 teaspoonful dhaniya seed powder 1 teaspoonful flaxseed powder 1/2 teaspoon meti seed powder 1/4 teaspoon kala jeera powder method: - mix all the mixture in 1 glass of water overnight and boiled this mixture early morning for 10 minutes. Strain this mixture and drink empty stomach. This is very helpful reducing weight.

First you should follow low calories food for weight loss. * in morning, take 1-2 chapattis with a bowl of cooked green vegetables. You can take a glass of lemon water with it *in lunch you can take a bowl of raw vegetables like carrot, radish, tomatoes, turnip or beetroot. *in evening, you can take a cup of green tea only with some pieces of friuts like apple, pineapple, pear. Avoid taking banana or mango. *in dinner, you can take vegetable soup or a bowl of cooked vegetables. But do not take potato, sweet potatoes. * you can take a cup skimmed milk 4 times a week only during day time. * work out for atleast 1 hour in morning, you can try skipping for 15minutes with a walk of 30 minutes and 5-10 minutes running. Follow these exercises in the morning - * lie down on flat surface, raise your legs without bending your knees, do it for 3-5 times daily * do not eat fastfoods and soft drinks, as they have high calories and the calories deposit in body in the form of weight if not utilised. * you can take medohar guggalu 1 tablet daily for quick weight loss but only under the guidance of ayurveda expert. Your bmi is 33. 4, and you are obese. You have to persist with a low carbohydrate and low fat, high protein diet. Stop all cereals, sugar, bakery products and desserts. Take the white of 2 boiled eggs and lots of fruits and green vegetables and salads. White meat like fish and chicken made in little bit of olive oil / cornflower oil is good.
