1. Eat protein to gain muscle. If your goal is to put on muscle mass, then you need to be eating protein-rich foods on a regular basis. It's especially good to eat protein after a workout. Lean meats (such as chicken, lean pork, and fish), eggs, beans, and lentils are all great sources of protein, as well as yogurt and nuts, chocolate milk is a good way to get in your protein, although be mindful that most chocolate milks contain a lot of sugar, which isn't good for you in large quantities. Also try to eat protein right before going to bed. Drink some milk or eat some yogurt to fuel you through the night. This may also help you recover if you work out frequently. Stir in protein powder to your curd, oatmeal, and other foods to add a protein and calorie boost. 2. Add calorie-dense foods to your meals. Try adding full-fat cheese to the top of your meals. Stir some peanut butter and honey into your oatmeal. These foods are high in calories and can help you increase your overall caloric intake. Another calorie-dense food is dried fruit, such as dried apricots, figs, or raisins. Eat complex carbohydrates, such as brown rice, bulgur, barley, whole grains, and quinoa. Avoid simple carbs like white flour, sugar and white rice. 3. Eat solid meals. Every day, make sure you get in at least three meals. Introduce larger portions at your meals to help increase your calories. You may have a tendency to skip breakfast, only eating 2 main meals, but making sure you actually eat three meals can help you gain weight. If you can't eat huge meals because it upsets your stomach, eat smaller meals throughout the day. Don't skip meals. 4. Don't drink before eating. Drinking water or any beverage before eating can fill you up. You want to leave room for the calories you need to consume. Instead of drinking water before you eat, try drinking a calorie-rich drink while eating, such as fruit juice or a smoothie. 5. Identify why you lost weight. If you are trying to gain weight back that you lost, you should first identify why you lost the weight. If you haven't seen a doctor, you should, as unexplained weight lost can point to any number of diseases, from an overactive thyroid gland to diabetes. 6. Treat the underlying disease. If a disease caused you to lose weight, treating that disease may help you gain the weight back. Talk to your doctor about an appropriate treatment for whatever plagues you, as well as what treatment would be effective to help you gain weight and what the most effective way is for you to gain weight. Besides these natural ways you can start taking homeopathic preparations like alfa alfa and carica papaya which which help you to increase your weight. There are certain other remeies also which help in gaining weight, those depend on individual constitution for which you have to consult a homeopath.

Hi, I'm 30 years old now but my weight is only 40 kgs. This is my great problem. I'm married have 2 kids. Both deliveries were cesarean n have done my family planning too. After my delivery ie. 4 years back I gained weight I was around 49. But now I'm loosing my weight. I don't skip my meals, I have my 3 times meals correctly. Instead of having 3 meals have 6-7 small meals. Slowly increase your intake of food. Have proteins, carbs and healthy fats. Have protein shakes and smoothies. Eat plenty of fresh fruits. Chapatti contains carbohydrates. Which give you energy but for proper growth and body building you need good amount of protein. It look like you also have problem of indigestion. Yoga and proper diet will help you to increase your weight. To gain weight it is not about eating too much, but eat high energy and protein dense food frequently in small portions.

Go for brisk walk 45 minute daily. Take 3 cup green tea daily (jasmine flavour). Have diet rich in fruits vegetable salads & multigrain aata roti avoid rice, deserts, and fried stuffed. Drink 2-3 liters water in a day.

Dear you can easily gain weight and get a healthy muscular body by following these best things - 1. To gain weight, your digestion should work properly. If you have any disease of digestive system you should treat disease first. For proper digestion - take 10 gms powder of carom seeds (ajwain, 10 gm powder of cumin (jeera), 10 gm of rock salt. Mix them well and take 1/2 teaspoon (3-5 gm) of mixture daily after meal. Or take 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper (kali mirch), 1/ 2 tea spoon of jeera (cumin), 2-3 slice of ginger. Boil it in one glass of water for 2-3 minutes. Drink 5-10 teaspoons (15-20 ml) in morning and evening for strong digestive system. Or you can take amla powder 1 teaspoon with water for strong digestion. 2. Take a diet rich with proteins and fats. You should take high calorie food that increase your muscle mass and induce growth in bones. I am sending the diet chart. If you are stressed, limit stress, do relaxation exercises, yoga, meditation etc. Drink lots of water and exercise 3 times a week, weight training mostly.

I'm a software engineer age 26. I was diagnosed type 2 diabetes at the age of 24, one and half year to be exact. I was running with high blood sugar levels. And recently I was advised that to go for fasting by my family doctor. So I skipped a noon lunch for more than 10 days. I felt great and light and even my blood sugar levels were down. But from past 15 days I was on travel due to business and I didn't follow diet. So back to square one. So is fasting advisable to me? He said to take very minimal food. As every food converts into glucose even food with low glycemic index. So he advised to take eggs and meat with fats so that it's not converted into glucose. So is that good diet? I would not agree with such short term solutions. Diabetes is a lifelong condition and it requires dietary changes that you can follow lifelong rather than just to control the sugar level temporarily. A balanced diet needs to be followed even if you are diabetic so omitting carbohydrates completely is not an answer. I suggest you get your blood workup done: fbs, plbs, hba1c.

Lot depends on degree of your exercise. Professionals go for 6 egg white twice daily but then you should also monitor albumin in your urine. If it exceeds limits it may harm you.

Hello, power yoga for 30 minutes everyday is a very good work out. Eating rice in the night is not a good idea. Avoid carbs for dinner and you must know rice should be steamed rice. Your ideal weight should be 52 kgs. So, your weight loss programme will take little time to reach the target. You will start seeing results after a month if you follow a strict diet. One hour work out is recommended to see better results. You can include 30 minute cycling/jogging every alternate day to loose weight faster. Don't push yourself, gradually increase your workout level. Tip: you can keep changing your work out routine every other week to make it interesting and giving your body a different challenge.

Hi incorporate more fruits, vegetables, and whole grains into your diet while eliminating unhealthy foods. - if you are working or studying away from home, try to pack healthy lunch and snacks for yourself to avoid eating unhealthy food daily. - don't eat straight from the packet - use a plate or bowl to control how much you eat. - don't delay or skip meals. - cut down your consumption of aerated drinks and sodas. - drink at least 8 glasses of water every day. Drink water after waking up and before sleeping. Being dehydrated may make you feel like you're hungry, so it is important to stay hydrated. - have homemade fruit and vegetable juices - eat 5-6 small healthy meals every 2-3 hours, every day, instead of having a few big ones. This regulates your blood sugar level and your metabolism. - don't skip breakfast, instead, make it rich with complex carbohydrates and proteins, so it can provide you with energy to get through the day. Try to include the following as your morning breakfast, oats porridge, eggs on multigrain toast or daliya with sprouts. - avoid artificial sweeteners in processed foods. - eat slowly as it takes about 20 minutes for your brain to register if you're full or not. Eating too fast leads to overeating, so chew slowly to digest your food better and control how much you eat. - use a smaller plate to control your portion sizes and avoid overeating. - know your cravings and do not snack when you're emotional. Vitamin e and biotin supplements are good to consume. But, the dose should be as prescribed by a doctor or dietitian. Vitamin e ideally not more than 1000 mg/day and biotin not more than 30 mcg/day. But these are just for references, however, you should consult an expert before taking these. No supplement is a replacement for natural good foods. Dry fruits are good source of vitamins and minerals, do make it a part of your daily healthy diet.
