Apply hot fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times.

My father suffers from acute pain in his left arm. The pain starts from his shoulder and covers complete arm. The pain is so immense that he face great trouble even in wearing shirts. Please provide a solution?

I need to actually understand whether he is having issues with his neck region which is associated with pain radiating from neck to upper limb region or are we talking about shoulder pain with restriction of shoulder movements due to which he is having pain? so I need to know whether his shoulder movements are free especially lifting his arm and rotations? also is there any numbness, paresthesias in the affected limb as well? - does he suffer from any systemic disease like diabetes, thyroid issues, bp etc? do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance. 1.avoid pillow. 2.regular neck exorcise and avoid forward bending if pain or inflammation is present. 3. Always sit in good posture. 5. Avoid mobile, comptutor work regularly and sit in proper posture. 6.take break if your job not permitting you.

Ms. Lybrate-user, you have not made it clear that the location of pain is near knee joint or hip joint but in any case the main reason of leg pains at your age can be osteoarthritis if the pain is continuous and you have problem in walking. But it is just my opinion and to rule it out you should first go for an xray knee joint-----------thereafter we will move towards next step and inquire about other possibilities-----------------

First of all check your posture when you are lifting any material like heavy bucket . And try to lift the heavy bucket without bending your back . you may lift the bucket after bending your knees only. This will definitely help you. * Gentle massage with lukewarm mustard oil of your waist area will also give you relief. * Surya Namaskar is only exercise which you need to do. * In diet vegetable protein of cereal , B complex supplements and half teaspoon of haldi in a cup of milk for seven days will give you enough relief.

Dear lybrate-user exercises are a great booster of immune system and act as painkillers so maybe you have some stiffness and maybe referred pain from neck. You should see orthopedic surgeon to get a diagnosis.

hello u need not worry, u need to do exercise especially surya namaskar as told by Dr. V.Sowmi along with a healthy balanced diet. avoid fried foods, carbonated drinks, sweets and processed foods. take small and regular meals like 3 main meals and 2 side meals. include foods like green tea, lemon water, sprouts, salad veggies like cabbage, onion, tomato, cucumbers, kakri, fruits like papaya, apple, pear. thank u

Knee replacement surgery has its advantages and disadvantages. A replacement knee can never be quite as good as a natural knee. Before opting for a replacement surgery it's better to carry on with other non-surgical treatments. Ayurveda offers good treatments in such conditions.

Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Use no pillow under the head. Kindly take BioD3 Max 1 tab dailyx10 Paracetamol 250mg OD & SOS x5days Do back(spine)/shoulder/knee exercises Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take Do not ignore it. It could be beginning of a serious problem. If no relief in 4_5 days,then contact me again.

I undergone ACL reconstruction surgery in March 2013. I still have little pain near patella. After running my upper part of thigh of same leg pains. I am doing mountaineering hence I need total fitness. I am 171 cm and 81 kg. Please guide me about this problem.

Dear back pain needs evaluation with both clinical and imaging studies. I do spinal manipulation to cure back pain. It is non operative and opd treatment and with good rehab you can be virtually normal.

I am suffering from left knee pain its beginning from morning when I wake up and when I sit.
Ice therapy would definitely help to reduce the inflammation. We also advise you to use knee cap which would help to prevent the knee from damaging further and also to maintain the quadriceps muscle tone. Simple Knee Exercises would help to strengthen the quadriceps muscles which is the key muscle. Specific knee exercises will also help ie. Keeping ball underneath the knee and keep pressing it. That's the simple exercise which will help you to strengthen the knee. We also advise you to use knee cap which would help to prevent the knee from damaging further and also to maintain the quadriceps muscle tone.

Kindly show me a photograph of the affected part. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 1 wk, contact me again. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Backache is the commonest ailment. Do not worry, rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Any way take ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days you will need other supportive medicines also. Take multivitamins & other antioxidants along with. Do back (spine) exercises contact me again if need be. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take do reply back for private consultation and detailed treatment plan.
