I'm 18 year old and I have marks on my face due to pimples. What is best way to remove them without any medicine?

Doctor of Naturopathy & Natural Medicines, DM - Clinical Haematology
Dietitian/Nutritionist, Agra
Hello. Naturopathy believes that your own body can cure your health related problems in the most effective manner. It is advisable that you put saliva of your own mouth on your black spots each morning after you wake up. It may sound weird or stinky but trust me it is the most advisable natural remedy for black spots that too without any side effects. Secondly you can also apply fresh cream (malai) of fresh milk on your face every day and rinse it after keeping for about 15 minutes. You can also control your pimples, acne, spots, and other such face or body related problems by consuming a proper diet with the help of exercises…I can suggest you some of the diet and exercise regimes. What is the condition of your stomach comes on your face so make sure you have a clean and detoxified stomach. Thanks 

Avoid use of harsh hair colour, hair treatment like rebonding, straightening, perming, etc. Avoid vigorous exercises or any supplements provided by the gym! cover your head with scarf or cap while stepping outside. How Safe is Laser Tattoo Removal, Really?

MBBS, DNB (Dermatology)
Dermatologist, Mumbai
How Safe is Laser Tattoo Removal, Really?

The permanency of tattoos or being inked has reduced somewhat after the widespread use of laser tattoo removal. It has become a common trend among people to take off the ink which once was put in to be a permanent part of their existence. Although the success rate of the tattoo removal is quite high, there are certain inherent risks of undergoing a laser tattoo removal procedure.

Let's take a look at some of the risks:

  • Risk of infection: The process of tattoo removal may pose a risk of infection like any other procedure performed on the human body. However, infections occur in rare cases and only if proper method is not followed or the patient doesn't adhere to post-procedural prohibitions.
  • Chances of a scar: Although the colors within the tattoo may be removed, the outline of the tattoo may stay depending on how deep the punctures on the skin were, where the tattoo was put into place. This may also happen due to the type of paint used as it may also result in a permanent pigment removal in the localized area of the tattoo on the skin.
  • Hypopigmentation and Hyperpigmentation: After the removal of the tattoo, the skin and the body may react in a certain manner within certain individuals and thus result in problems with skin pigmentation. In certain cases, the color of the skin in the affected area may become paler than the rest of the surrounding skin which is known as hypopigmentation. In others, it may even become darker which is known as hyperpigmentation.
  • Side effects: If the patient already has certain pre-existing conditions then the procedure may have certain side effects. One example of this is a delay in the healing process in case the patient has diabetes.

However, laser tattoo removal has been improving over the past few years as a procedure and has come to a point where it is very safe. What might vary from patient to patient is the effectiveness of the removal of the colors within the tattoo, depending on the types of colors that were used.

I am a 40 year old man. Tell me how to avoid using medicines for existing High BP.

Homeopath, Faridabad
Hello, Few lifestyle changes can help you in controlling and preventing the high blood pressure, even if you're taking blood pressure medication. Eat healthy foods. Consume more fruits, vegetables, whole grains, poultry, fish and low-fat dairy foods. Eat less saturated fat and trans fat. Decrease the salt in your diet. So, avoid eating processed foods, such as canned soups or frozen dinners which contains extra salt in it. Keeping a healthy weight, or losing weight if you're overweight or obese, can help you control your high blood pressure and lower your risk of related health problems. Increase physical activity which can help lowering your blood pressure, manage stress, reduce your risk of several health problems. Get indulged in regular exercising (if your doctor allows you). Limit alcohol. Even if you're healthy, alcohol can raise your blood pressure. If you choose to drink alcohol, do so in moderation. Don't smoke. Tobacco injures blood vessel walls and speeds up the process of hardening of the arteries. Reduce stress as much as possible. Practice healthy coping techniques, such as muscle relaxation, deep breathing or meditation. Getting regular physical activity and plenty of sleep can help, too. Monitor your blood pressure at home. Medication: Take homoeopathic medicine - Schwabe’s Essentia Aurea/ thrice daily which is a cardio-tonic which helps in maintaining blood pressure, improves muscle tone of the heart and narrowing of blood vessels. **********need to rule out the cause********

Since you are already using medicines for vertigo. I suggest you to go for vestibular labrynth exercises like dix hallpike etc. Your physiotherapist can teach you these exercises. But only certain types of vertigo respond to those type of exercises. Please consult a general physician to rule out any other problems.

Hello lybrate-user. Gap between upper two central incisors is called midline diastema. The treatment depends on the amount of gap present. Varied treatment strategies include composite restoration buildup, laminates, veneers and full crowns. Similarly, cost will depend upon the type of treatment opted. For that you will have to visit your nearest dentist, who can examine you clinically and suggest you the best treatment plan possible.
