7 Causes Of Anorgasmia

MBBS
Sexologist, Panchkula
7 Causes Of Anorgasmia

Anorgasmia, also known as Coughlan's syndrome, is a form of dysfunction, which deters your performance in bed. It is defined as the inability of a patient to achieve an orgasm even with adequate stimulation. Anorgasmia may also refer to long delays in achieving an orgasm, causing significant concern or stress to the patient. This condition is more commonly seen in women, especially those in the postmenopausal age group. This is especially common in women.

Cause of Anorgasmia:

  1. Trauma to the genital or pelvic organs; this trauma can be acquired from straddle injuries, for example falling off a balance beam or a bicycle
  2. Complications of surgery in the pelvic area
  3. Gynecologic operations, difficult childbirth and prosthetic procedures
  4. Diseases, such as multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injuries and diabetes mellitus
  5. Psychological conditions such as anxiety, depression or alcoholism
  6. Certain kinds of drugs such as antidepressant medications
  7. Addiction to heroin and other opiates

Occasionally, Anorgasmia results from a combination of above causes.

Symptoms of Anorgasmia: The primary symptom of anorgasmia is the failure to climax during sexual intercourse. Some patients may also experience a decreased intensity of orgasms, take a longer time than usual to achieve orgasms, and experience pain in lower abdomen or pelvic region during sexual intercourse. These symptoms can produce marked distress for the individual.

Types of Treatments Available: Anorgasmia is best managed by a sexual therapist. These experts are specialists in managing sexual dysfunction, and would initially confirm the diagnosis with several blood tests. A thorough neurological examination will be performed and hormone levels, blood sugar and genital blood flow will be evaluated.

Anorgasmia can be treated with:

  1. Changes in lifestyle and sexual practices
  2. Minimizing stress and anxiety
  3. Trying different techniques of sexual stimulation
  4. Kegel exercises
  5. Use of several devices, such as vacuum pumps and vibrators.
  6. Cognitive therapy (behavioral therapy that promotes changes in a person's ideas and attitude towards sexual activity).
  7. Counseling for couples (to allow them to address any issues in the relationship, at home and in the bedroom). If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a Sexologist.

Dear, stress is simply a reaction to a stimulus that disturbs our physical or mental equilibrium. In other words, it's an omnipresent part of life. A stressful event can trigger the? fight-or-flight? response, causing hormones such as adrenaline and cortisol to surge through the body. A little bit of stress, known as? acute stress? can be exciting? it keeps us active and alert. But long-term, or? chronic stress? can have detrimental effects on health. You may not be able to control the stressors in your world, but you can alter your reaction to them. I need to know, what are the causes with which you are stressed? once you know the reason, you will be able to adjust with it with some tips and tricks. Please let me know the details. Take care.

Hi Lybrate user First of all share your feelings talk to someone you trust, sharing your feelings helps you release the emotions you have bent up inside, if you don't share your feelings it can be lead to depression. Exercise is also the best way to fresh your mind and feels stress free, yoga and meditation are helpful too. And for suffocation problem try to control your breath, daily practice it through inhalation while inflating your abdomen and exhale slowly, deflating your abdomen. Eat healthy foods, sleep propery. Spend some time with your hobby. If you don't feel better by self help you can opt some counselling sessions. Thanks.

I am feeling down from last 6, 7 years. Everything is going wrong. I did not want to see a doctor cause I was scared to see any psychiatric. Suicidal thoughts every day. Want to go to unknown place. You are making it worse for yourself if you do not get attention soon. Psychiatrists are not bad people and they can help you a lot when the going is tough. Since you are troubled by these doctors, go visit a counselor instead in the beginning and I am sure that person will recommend some medical help too. Having a counselor's support may make you feel better about them and medication and you will experience some support. Any way counseling must continue for a long time to be of benefit to you. I think that you are very depressed and need help soon. There is something troubling you emotionally, tremendously. I suspect it has to do with anger. Your life is very precious and for some frivolous reason that you think is insurmountable, you want to end life. And the pressure is building up with no solution in sight. Do you see how untrue all this is?! When you do therapy please explore what in your past could have affected you in this manner. Depression makes you want to withdraw, lie down, sleep, become lethargic, slow down, makes you too lazy to even think etc. You will need to fight this disease. You must become active; stay upright during the daylight time; meet people; never sleep during the day, and wake up by 6 am every day, play some active games, especially contact games, do physical exercises, talk to people and join some social clubs, eat more of proteins and vegetables, attend Yoga classes etc. Watch a lot of sitcoms on TV or comedies and cheer yourself up. Go for excursions in groups, for outings, camps, conferences, and religious conventions. Get a pet dog and spend time training it, exercising it and relating to it. Expose yourself to some sunlight every day, at least 30 minutes but not in the scotching heat. I hope you can find someone to love and be loved too. Whatever happens please incorporate these three important adaptations in your life: always be responsible, be respectful, and be functional. If you did these three things lots of things will go well in life. Please pray and have faith in God to alleviate your sufferings.

My face is suffering from white spots which are visible in sun and some patches and spots. Can you please suggest som...
White spots on can occur due to a number of reasons, of which conditions can be mild or severe. The condition can be mild or severe, and generally covers the majority of the skin on a particular area of the body. They may also cause irritation or itching. The occurrence of whites on the face can be extremely distressing. People affected with this problem should obtain medical advice to diagnose what is causing the condition and the suitable treatment. Causes of White Spots White spots on the face occur for various reasons. Understanding some of these reasons may be beneficial in treating the condition. Furthermore, understanding the cause can also help people avoid certain circumstances that increase the risk. 1. Tinea Versicolor This is a chronic fungal infection of the skin. Also known as pityriasisversicolor, this fungus causes discolored patches on the skin as it interferes with the normal pigmentation. The color of the patches may be darker or lighter than the surrounding skin and most often, affects the back and trunk of adolescent males. Exposure to sunlight, hot, humid weather, oily skin and excessive sweating may aggravate the condition. 2. Vitiligo This is a skin condition that results in the loss of melanocyte pigmentation of the skin. This results in white patches that feel as if it is part of the skin. The cause of vitiligo is unclear although it is believed to be an autoimmune disease. However, mild trauma to any area of the skin including the face can also result in the development of vitiligo. Vitiligo can affect the face, hands and feet, elbows and genital area. 3. Idiopathic Guttate Hypomelanosis White spots on the face may also be due to Idiopathic Guttate Hypomelanosis, a skin condition resulting in 2 to 5 mm flat, white spots commonly found on the shins and forearms. This skin condition mostly affects fair skinned people, although it may occur in dark skinned individuals too. The white spots may occur more commonly in people over the age of 40. 4. Pityriasis Alba This skin condition is common in children aged 6 to 12. It is a rash that appears on the face, neck and arms, and is not easily differentiated between normal skin. The rash may be covered with skin flakes resembling light dust. The cause of Pityriasis Alba is not known and is often considered as a form of eczema. This condition is often mistaken with vitiligo. However, while vitiligo has a distinct border, Pityriasis Alba does not. Treatments for White Spots on Face The medical treatment for white spots depends entirely on the root cause that underlies the condition. There are certain things that you can try to accelerate the process of treatment . Some of these mentioned treatments are professional while others are home remedies. Home Remedies .  For treating vitiligo, consumption of ginger juice is recommended as it promotes blood flow. neem seed oil applied to the affected area will also bring beneficial results.  Idiopathic Guttate Hypomelanosis may not require treatment as it is harmless. However, topical steroids and retinoids may help treat the condition.

Both are equally effective rather the metallic brackets are more effective in correction of your occlusion. But your orthodontist knows better because he has personally examined your case. If you want a second opinion visit another orthodontist in new delhi. Without checking your occlusion or x rays its not possible to comment on your case.
