Avoid sitting for long hours! take breaks in between. Do sit straight. Move your chair close to desk so that you can sit straight. Drink lots of water. Apply ice on affected area 2/3 times in a day! avoid bending and lifting heavy weights. Do extension exercises.

Back exercises. Many people go to physiotherapists with back pain. Here are two exercises that help to relieve pain and reduce stiffness in the back: •Dear, 1. Lie on your back with both of your legs straight. In this position, bring your left knee up close to your chest. Hold this position for 10 seconds. Return your leg to the straight position. Repeat with the right leg. •2. Stand up with your arms on your side. Bend to the left side while slowly sliding your left hand down your left leg. Come back up slowly and relax. Repeat with the right side of your body.

hello dear vetri.. I suggest you to show me recent xray report so I can know the present status of healing!! as in 55 deminralization may be there! so you can take more of calcium content food. take more of banana, milk green vegetables and garlic will be most effective!! in leg or arm if surgeons agreed to weight bearing then start with gradual weight bearing activities..

Quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Lybrate-user, you need to be cautious with your food habits and physical exertion. Playing football might have resulted in some kind of sprain. I would recommend you to consult a doctor for examination of veins and urinary system. For leg pain, please follow the below advise: keep your leg raised while sitting or lying quadriceps strengthening exercises- quad clenches: lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Short arcs: lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Straight leg raise: lie flat on your back. One leg and knee will be straight and other leg should be bent. Pull your toes towards you and tighten/clench the muscle on the front of the thigh, locking your knee straight. Lift your foot up in the air, about 6 inches off the bed. Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower the leg. The knee must remain straight the whole time you are doing this exercise.

I have an abscessed tooth that has gotten infected. When I woke up 3 days ago I found I could barely swallow accompanied by a new level of pain so I went to the ER and got antibiotics. At the moment the swelling hasn't subsided and I have a strange red blotch starting on my swollen jaw & moving down neck and slowly down my chest. The pain is at times nauseating and my head and neck hurt. How concerned should I be and what course of action should I take? Thanks.

Dear lybrate-user you r suffering from periapical abscess, to get ride of it you should go to good root canal treatment (r. C. T) when dentist will open your cavity for access opening to get cannal than your swelling n pain will be subside very soon otherwise I wl get worst.

Kindly show me a photograph & digital x rays of affected part. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days. Bio d3 max 1tab od x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. Do reply back for detailed treatment plan. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

I have body aches, feeling tired and lazy. But from past almost one year I have mild leg pain, numbness in foot, legs and now in hands. My working profile bit standing and in 24 degree room temperature. My age is 32 and height 5. 5 inch, weight 71 kg. Last month' s my b12 test is ok. I am not having fever, headache, vomiting, loose motion and cough. 3 years back I done hepatitis b & c test and it was normal. I hv some protected intercourses in past. What for I m suffering. Did you get your calcium and vit. D and sugar levels checked? what was your b12 level? sometimes you can have these symptoms if you are low in vitamins and calcium. Also sometimes your metabolism is not adequate and you end up feeling tired. Drink plenty of water. Eat fresh fruits to get sufficient antioxidants. Do light exercises daily. Do not skip meals.

Hi. Is there any history of injury or hurt to the area? Any underlying medical condition? The pain in legs can be because of - muscle cramps (due to tiredness or dehydration), Shin splints (doing activity over and over on hard surfaces can bring this on. You may also be more likely to get shin splints if you have flat feet or your feet turn outward.Rest your legs to feel better. Ice helps), Tendinitis (you can get it from overworking the calf muscle or climbing the stairs, apply ice to get some relief), Sprains (do rest, ice, compression & elevation). Other causes are varicose veins, arterial disease, sciatica, diabetic neuropathy. Medication: Meantime, take homoeopathic medicines - Arnica 200 and Rhus Tox. 200 - take both of them thrice daily for 1 week. Also, apply Schwabe's Topi-Arnica and Topi MP Gel on the affected area in circular motions gently thrice a day. And wrap crepe bandage over it. Get back to me thereafter.

Dear Lybrate User, This seems to be postural back pain. Medicine will only provide symptomatic relief...but isn't a long term solution. Try doing some back stretching and strengthening exercises...for eg back stretch, hams stretch, cat and camel exercises or yoga asanas eg bhujangasana. Along with this, do hot water fomentation twice daily.
