Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. Well you are actually confusing two different issues, one is osteopenia which is decrease in density of bone as compared to normal. Other is osteoarthritis of knees for which you have been prescribed lubrijoint. You can continue with lubrijoint but mainstay of management will remain intensive physical therapy, daily brisk walks for 2-3 km per day, adequate calcium and vitamin d intake and maintaining an active and a healthy lifestyle. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance.

This is a general strain due to excessive walking or standing and for this you can follow these measures: one keep a pillow right under the knee while sleeping, next is you can keep ice in the painful area for about 5--10 minutes. One time you can do hot water fermentation that would help to reduce the muscle strain.

Im 18 years old and I have pain in my back. I used to take medicines. But does not work. Even take advice of doctors ...
Back pain may be due to strain, sprain, weather change etc. Sit straight so that back bone gets proper support. A dining chair is better than a laid back sofa. *you can use mustard oil for massage which is good in winter season for relieving pain. Eucalyptus oil is also good *soft bed will not give proper support to your back bone. Hard bed with thin mattress and thin pillow is better. *get yourself tested whether you have spondylitis problem. Homoeopathy has a good treatment for this without adverse effects. To start with, take calc fluor 200--once daily in the morning for 6 days.

I suggest you follow the below for your condition: Take Mag Phos 12x - thrice daily for next 2 weeks and update. Also do x-ray of the affected area. Rest. Ceasing activity for a few days allows injured tissue and even nerve roots to begin to heal, which in turn will help relieve lower back pain. However, more than a few days of rest can lead to a weakening of the muscles, and weak muscles have to struggle to adequately support the spine. Patients who do not regularly exercise to build strength and flexibility are more likely to experience recurrent or prolonged lower back pain. Heat and Ice Packs. Heat and/or cold therapy helps relieve most types of low back pain by reducing inflammation. Often patients use ice, but some prefer heat. Both may be used alternately. If you would like to consult with me privately, please click on 'Consult'. recommend me by clicking on recommendation option.
